The wheel in this version of the game sounds like a cheap carnival wheel. However, the level of effort that went into it for 1992 is hard to complain about.
I'm more curious about how the system draws the wheel. Is it a rendered video, or a graphic that is rotated?
@@Kazuo1G I'd assume it would have been more logical and simpler to use graphics because the Sega CD had support for sprite scaling and rotating.
That intro SEGA!! with all that sparkle ✨✨✨😭 such nostalgia 😭😭😭
This was undoubtedly the best retro Wheel of Fortune game ever made. This game was the reason why I wanted a SEGA CD so badly. Yeah, my biggest problems were with loading times and unnecessary footage of Vanna, but If someone wanted to know what it was like to be on the show back in the early 1990s, THIS was and still is the game to get. As for where Pat is, he didn't appear in any Wheel of Fortune games until the Wii and DS versions came out in 2010. The reason for this was that, despite his celebrity status, he was a rather private person. Plus, he felt his children weren't old enough to understand why their father's name and image were on a product.

final round R,S,T,L,N,E
That's a good point. Also, it's a lot easier to market a good-looking woman compared to a man, so Vanna White's name & image were more appealing.
@Christian Dixie Hey Christian, good to see you on youtube!
You're probably thinking of the '03 PC version of WOF. At the end of the game, there's certain parts where Vanna congratulates the winning player twice with a long pause in between, indicating a lack of proper editing.
I agree. Besides the newer ones, I feel that this game, the N64 version, and WoF feat. Vanna White for the NES most closely resemble the show.
1:25 the most 90's looking graphics ever.
0:59 "From Hollywood, it's America's most watched game show! Filled with fun, glamor, prizes, surprises! WHEEEEEEEEEEEEL of Fortune! And now, here's your hostess, Vanna White!"
Correction 1:00
@@ilmamartinez522 Oops.
@@Angie2343 its fine
And Where the heck is Pat?
@@henrytube5333 He didn't want to because his children would have asked questions.
That third round was brutal.
As much as it's cool to see the flashy video bits, I think the best playing version of Wheel is still the NES one. Much faster pace of play
0:55 WHEEL... OF... FORTUNE!
From Hollywood, it's America's Game! A show the whole family can enjoy, filled with fun, glamour, excitement, surprises! WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEL OF FORTUNE!

I wonder why vanna says 'That's Correct!'/'Good Job"/'Nice Work' when landing on the high value cause the correct letter has called in the puzzle, but thanks Vanna!

Carrot & Celery Sticks that is
The Nintendo Entertainment System versions are probably better the ones on the Commodore 64. This version is better than the ones on the Super Nintendo.
The PlayStation versions are somewhat better than the Nintendo 64 version. The PlayStation 2 version is cool. The Wii version uses motion controls.
The Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One versions look stunning. CDs are better than cartridges, cassettes, and floppy disks.
Console Game cards and MicroSD cards have faster load times than Blu-rays, DVDs, CDs, Laserdiscs, and all other old media storage formats.
