Tips to recolour use a separate layer for colours than line art and from s tool freehand can trace outline and hold to select colour you want and fill it in

How many layers do you usually use? Does each step have their own layer or is it all just on a single layer? Amazing art BTW 💚
I would say sketch on one layer, colour on other, then fur on the last layer.

That’s usually how most people do it so they can erase without affecting the things underneath
Hello! Good question. I usually try to work with layers, because it is easier to correct things when I make a mistake (and I always make mistakes lol), but you don't have to! If you outline everything correctly, filling it in in the same layer should be doable too. Hope this helps!
@@ChloeRamey Indeed! It's a lot easier to work with different layers. Erasing, re-coloring, and playing around with different looks is a million times easier if you can count on layers.

Hello! I usually play around with different brushes, but for this one, I used the original brushes that come with Procreate (I think I used the "Inking" brushes here).

What size canvas should I use on procreate?
Hello! Procreate has a lot of standard sizes, but it depends for what you will use your drawing. If it's online, then around 1200px is enough to look HD, but if you want to print it bigger, then you can choose a higher resolution. I usually choose "Screen Size" for my drawings. One tip you should know though: the bigger your canvas, the fewer number of layers you can create. I advice not to go too big (2000px or less) if you want to work with different layers... which you should. :P Hope this helps!

Depende... si usas computadora photoshop es bueno. Tambien he escuchado sobre Studio Clip Art. Puedes buscar en google cuales app son para dibujo para el dispositivo que tengas. Lo que necesitas es que se pueda dibujar con varias capas y que tenga ayuda correctora para que las lineas que traces queden derechas y suaves. Buena suerte!
How long it takesyou to draw one portrait?
It depends on how complex it is, but minimum 2 hours.

Is this tracing?
A little, at the start. You can use tracing as a very easy method to get all the sizes right, but you can definitely just draw it directly. It is up to you and your preferred drawing technique.

Of course! This is an easy tutorial for beginners that shows that anyone can draw their own pets. You can also draw by just looking, but that would be a tad more difficult... perhaps for a more experienced artist, of course! 😉
