Missed a GOLDEN opportunity to put the ZX5 up against your Qi10 😢 I think you'd have been shocked at the results and potentially saved people some real $$$
I play the ZX5 mk2 driver … I have a Titleist TS3, a Sims 2 max , cobra ltd x diver , that sits at home .. I bought the Srixon from Calloway used for 190 bucks and it was perfect condition. The ZX5 mk2 is unbelievable straight. I can hit the cobra longer but not straighter. I love the sound of the Srixon … and honestly why In The hell do you get caught up in how a club sounds … it’s loud AF when you hit bombs … as it should be 😂
I just switched from TSi3 to the ZX5LS and I love it. Im averaging about 5 yards more but the accuracy is where its at. I love the sound. Im averaging 173 ball speed 115 club speed and 292 carry. Its a great driver. Ive hit several on the course with roll out 315+
I started playing golf socially last year with a set of starter clubs. Quickly caught the bug and in October upgraded to the Srixon ZX Mk II driver and fairway woods as well as joined a golf club. Have not looked back since - absolutely love this driver and it’s my second favourite club behind the 5 Wood. For a player of my very limited experience I hit way, way more fairways than I should and that has been a huge factor in dropping my handicap reasonably quickly. (Started at 24 in February this year and am currently at 16.6). Cannot recommend the Srixon’s highly enough.
I have zx7 mk ii irons that are amazing found out after the fact that they are the number one played irons among free agents on tour. I also have the zx5 ls mk ii driver and chose it over the qi10, ai smoke, g430 max 10k, darkspeed, etc. amazing driver! I love the playability, shot shaping and spin control.
You quite rightly keep posing the question "how much of the cost of a club is attributable to the marketing/sponsorship budget. Around 20 years ago I found myself sat next to a former executive of a leading manufacturer and asked that question. The answer was around 30%. I then asked what discounts they got when buying shafts and grips in bulk. They couldn't give me those figures. If you're not prepared to ask some manufacturers the questions, why not ask your friends at Scottsdale what they pay for a driver and work through the numbers.
Well went put today with mine I think I was swinging too hard at it as I was still slicing but when I was slowing down I was get a faint draw but soon as I put power into it it was gone but I like it maybe a bit of practice I'll get it right
I’d like you to test the ZX5 MK2 LS model and the ZX7 MK2, to see how they stack up. I was very interested in the ZX5 MK2 LS but Srixon doesn’t make them for left handed golfers.
Great video the first drive hit sounded very “tinny” but after that it didn’t sound as bad as some. I remember the cobra some years ago and it sounded like a rifle in fact the golf club banned members from hitting on range as neighbours complained of the sound it made. I like the Matt finish it looked cool and when sun shining there is no reflective glare - not that sun shines much in uk recently! I play Srixon irons and love them but not played any woods. The reason I think the price is low not many pros are playing them or endorsed by them so the company can afford to sell to general public cheaper as they don’t have hefty overheads to pay like titliest and Taylor made. Love the video but like the other person below you seem to speed up the commentary and sometimes it was difficult to follow. Otherwise great review.
Played srixon for years way back to my pro100 irons, love my current srixon set up but what's annoying is the lack of clothing and basic accessories like an umbrella from even the big outfits. Polo shirts from Japan are around the £150 mark+.
😂 The sound isn't bad on them.. infact I get more people say 'that sounds nice' than, well.. nobodies ever said it sounds anything but nice. 😂. I'm lucky enough to try most of the big name drivers, but for me the ZX5 out performs them all. I demo'd the mk2 but it gave very little in gains over the mk1 set up im using. Although both are fantastic , the feel and feedback off the face is awesome too. I love the feel so much I've just swapped to the 3w and hybrid and I'm super happy with both 👍
Drivers these days seem to be marketed on getting the distance even on off centred hits but I hit the middle of the club each time so need more length but the drivers on the market currently all seem to go the same distance for me as my current TM M1 driver. My accuracy is good but need to hit it further off the tee but current clubs on the market are not suitable.
I moved from a Ping G430 LST to a ZX5 mkII LS, much prefer the Srixon which spins at around 2300rpm and gives me an honest 10 yards over the G430. Bit of a sleeper tbh
I got the first ZX5 for $180 shipped last summer. I like it fine, though I think the EvenFlow Riptide shaft is probably a limiting factor. I don't know much about shafts, but I get the sense that it's a bit on the wimpy side. Looking at some of the online reviews, it seemed to equal the Sim 2 and Rogue ST Max in performance. Barring some shocking personal performance difference, I'd probably take the money and run. It was disappointing to see that the Mk II was near the bottom of the mygolfspy 2023 survey results.
The difference between a $500 driver and a $700 driver is that the 2nd manufacturer spent $200 more telling you it's a good driver. I spent $100 for a good-enough driver with an Acer head. Ever heard of it? Exactly.
You need a non-PGA pro to review the driver so you get a more realistic view on the “forgiveness” - I’m happy to volunteer so please send me one and I’ll help 😁
I used to hit a Wilson 3 wood off the shelf over 265 yards the driver I could hit 350 to 375, why when y'all hit a drive 265 yards do you think it's a good drive??
Why oh why do people want a “quiet” driver ??? I want as loud as possible when I hit the ball. Manufacturers have brainwashed club reviewers to like a quiet muffled driver. 🤷
Nothing controversial. Bigger marketing departments increase the price. 10 years ago we'd all say it sounds perfectly normal (before the carbon brigade came in)
*Be honest what do you think of this driver?!*

I'm playing the zx5 with a ventus red. It's a really good driver.
I don’t have the driver, but have the fairway wood and it’s fantastic

I play the ZX7(non MKII) irons and driver and I love them all!! Srixon makes great golf clubs and balls
Ive just ordered mine hopefully here before the weekend ive upgraded from the taylormade r11

@@rogermickcollison4003 affordable golf website have left handed clubs give them a look
Srixon does make some great clubs.
You should review Tour Edge Exotics clubs, another underrated brand.
Great suggestion 🙌🏼

I've been gaming the zx7mk2 from the release date honestly the best driver I've used, the numbers I was getting compared to other brands was unmatched
I'm still gaming the zx5 with a custom Accra shaft. It is an absolute rocketship.
best hybrid I have ever had is their 4h

Srixon is 🔥
they are really good, and xz5 and zx7, "too" cheap used these days! really good value!

I have heard great things about the Srixon drivers. Can you do a video on srixon fairway woods? I don't know many channels that have covered them.
Great idea
I play the previous model. ZX5. Best driver I've ever played. You should try the ZX5 mk2 LS model. Keep up the great work
I'll check it out!
Maybe get fitted for the driver as well
You should try the zx7 mk ll. I switched from zx5 LS to zx7 this year. The zx7 is VERY hot
Great shout !

If you don't know much about the head or shaft please just ask the wife, she certainly loves both of mine.
Nice driver. Play Srixon z765 irons, love them. What about your tee peg ?
Haha what do you mean?
@@HowGoodGolf where can
I find them? Thanks
Sound means F-ALL on the drive. I am still playing my radspeed!! It's a beast
Try the LS version

I'm a fan of Acer drivers and fairway woods.
I may paid too much, but I play with a 12yrs old Ping G25.
Used sirxion 355 hybrids from 2015 outstanding clubs big heads and so easy to launch anazing clubs for money
Going to put it up against my ping 425max. Fee like it will be longer and just as forgiving.
The Pxg black ops sounds terrible also
You need a non-PGA pro to review the driver so you get a more realistic view on the “forgiveness” - I’m happy to volunteer so please send me one and I’ll help 😁
I love it
Great driver, but the sound isnt the best, very tinny (like the G425)
I used to hit a Wilson 3 wood off the shelf over 265 yards the driver I could hit 350 to 375, why when y'all hit a drive 265 yards do you think it's a good drive??
Even better,,, the Cleveland Launcher XL2,,, same technology at a lower price!!!
Why oh why do people want a “quiet” driver ??? I want as loud as possible when I hit the ball.
Manufacturers have brainwashed club reviewers to like a quiet muffled driver. 🤷
Haha that’s true
What’s not to like
Get it fitted and come do the test again
Don't need promotional because of its quality its Japanese made. It promote itself.
Have you heard Promotional of Ferrari Car
