Is there a function in excel where you use only 2 cells. Cell 1: new data to add in cell 2. cell 2: displays the total number. And then you just need to type number in cell 1 and hit enter, then the number you entered will automatically added to cell 2. Then you may type number again in cell 1, hit enter to add it in cell 2. I want to use this to record my grocery receipt, rather than creating multiple cells and use autosum.
Yes there is! Just put = in cell 2 and put in your formula and reference cell 1. For example, if you are multiplying and cell 2 is A2 and cell 1 is A1, type this in cell 2: =0.75*A1. If you would like cell A1 to always be cell A1, then type this: =0.75*$A$1. You can use any function you would like. I just used multiplication for this example.
What formulas to count from A1 to D5 if have same item in one column. Exp the 'paid' have total cell = 7 C1 Paid 12 15 16 75 Cash 46 87 95 C2 Paid 15 87 80 Cash 86 90 06
This speaker is an amazing teacher! Probably the best I've heard. Thank you.

Exp the 'paid' have total cell = 7
C1
Paid 12 15 16
75
Cash 46 87 95
C2
Paid 15 87 80
Cash 86 90 06
You can use the COUNTIF formula for this scenario
