Flak 2.0 has been unreal. Do you guy ever sell just the lenses to people so they can be swapped. I have photochromic in my prescription and wouldn’t mind a full sunglasses version.
Those suck imo. I tried them after using oakley for a while and the Maui Jim's were uncomfortable and hurt and caused marks on my nose bridge in less than a couple hours.
Hi there! There's so many options! Size is obviously a determining factor, but here's a loose collection of some of Maui Jims better lifestyle frames for your consideration... 👉www.sportrx.com/shopby/best_sports-casual_lifestyle/brand-maui_jim/frames_for-male/product_type-sunglasses.html?show_full_attribute=1
Hello! Assuming they're authentic Oakleys, with proper care and maintenance, the iridium coatings applied to the lenses should not peel unless they've come into contact with abrasive chemicals and/or materials not suited for optical lenses or when exposed to extreme temperatures, such as leaving them on the dash of a car on a hot day.
I loved the video you guys did for “big heads”. I’ve always had a problem getting sunglasses that looked normal on my ginormous head. My style are the Eyepatch 2s and Double Edges from Oakley. Now I’m looking for some more formal sunglasses, kind of semi-formal to semi-casual.
Can you recommend sunglasses for pilots? Something that will be comfortable while wearing a headset? I don't like classic rayban aviators they hurt my nose bridge 😅
Most definitely Raul! One of the key features pilots look for in a frame is minimal obstruction and discomfort when worn with headsets and helmets. Randolph Engineering's bayonet temples provide seamless compatibility with headgear by distributing pressure along the sides and back of the head. The thin curved shape of the temples form to the contours of the pilot's head so that the added pressure applied by the headset will not create any added discomfort. Check out the Aviator and Aviator II models in the links below! 👉www.sportrx.com/randolph-engineering-aviator.html 👉www.sportrx.com/randolph-engineering-aviator-ii.html
Yes, absolutely! The main difference has to do with the perceived tone when the base tint is paired with a different colored mirror. The Ruby has a lower vlt % as well which makes it a great option for sunny & bright conditions for freshwater lakes and streams.
Some places like switzerland, himalayers, ... Snow blindness and desert... Too poor to go elsewhere, tied to resource of land, enslaved by their own greedy, entrenched by their own past-conceit and enemies-made, have to silly glaring techni-color nordic outer lens coat. I have a clip-on to that effect for - after create-move-destroy atmospheric lens... Then... Rub it in. Not my fashion.
Definitely! A 6 base wrap offers enough peripheral range without causing the lenses to fog up. The locking temples are stable, yet thin enough to fit comfortably beneath a hat too. Combine that with the rubber nosepads and temple tips for a secure fit and you got yourself a solid pair of baseball shades. 👉www.sportrx.com/sportrx-huckson.html
@@sportrxeyewear I am sorry for extra questions but would a 6 base wrap sunglasses better than the frame style such as 100% S3 with prescription insert? I was concerend about distortion and dizziness that the curved insert gives. Thanks!
Yes, and of course! However, it entirely depends on the strength and details of the prescription. Send a copy of your script to info@sportrx.com or give our opticians a call and they'll offer up some great affordable frame recommendations for you! 877.289.2999
Hey Andre! The Huckson's a fantastic choice for everyday wear: Lightweight, durable, locking temples, rubber nosepads and temple tips for superior hold, and a 6 base wrap to block out peripheral light leak. The price is hard to beat as well! Rincon's also a very popular model, though a bit heavier than the Huckson. Oakley models with similar design aesthetics include the mainlink xl, holbrook, portal x, and the Sylas! Check 'em out 🔥🤙
Red Sands. The Rincon looks overly squared, and their nose bridge is too narrow. I'm also not a fan of the plastic on Costas; they don't feel high quality.
Hi I’m from France and i love the brand VUARNET. I don’t know if in USA you know this brand but they make mineral lenses as Maui Jim. Have you ever heard about it? Have you already tested it? Thanks for your reply 😉
Thanks for sharing! We are familiar with the Vuarnet brand, though we haven't had much experience using and testing their products. They do have some cool styles on offer 😎🤙
@@sportrxeyewear Oh Thanks for your reply 😉 I think I’m gonna try the Maui Jims because everyone said that’s the best (or one of the best brand ) in the world. It could be very interesting (in my opinion) if you could compare all the brands that make mineral lenses and which one we should buy :)
I work on the beach and i’m having a hard time finding sunglasses that’d be good for it. Something that’d block out a lot of the glare from the sun is all i want, and obviously comfortable, long lasting and scratch resistant. Any recommendations?
Absolutely! A 6 or 8 base wrapped frame will block out the most light from entering your eyes from the side. Pair it with a polarized lens to eliminate surface glare and you're set for all day protection. Size is obviously a factor, and without knowing your size requirements it's hard to recommend a frame suited to your face shape. One way to check is by measuring the width of your current frames from inside hinge to hinge. Compare that number with the SFW (SportRx Frame Width) on the page of the frame you're interested in to get an idea for relative fit. Some notable contenders to check out would be the WileyX Gravity, SportRx Huckson, Oakley Flak 2.0 XL, and Costa Rinconcito 😎🔥 For more personalized guidance to choosing the right frames&lenses, give us a call to speak with a licensed sports optician! 877.289.2999
Hey Ferdos! The Oakley Reverie was released in 2017. We don't usually highlight or review too many older models but you may still be able to find a few online.

Building my Lego set as I watch haha

hello . What elegant, non-sporty Maui Jim glasses do you recommend for men?
Thanks

Too bad we can't get the Ho'okipa in SportRX prescription options, would of loved to try them in Digital Xtractive Transitions.
Agreed! We'd love to incorporate some of our lens options into Maui Jim frames, but for now only proprietary MJ labs can produce their lenses 😎
I love the new background color, so soothing and vibrant!

@@sportrxeyewear Thank you, they look great, didn't know about this brand.
Maui Jim is amazing. Best sunglasses I’ve had the pleasure of owning
Can the prizm ruby polarized be used for fishing? On the same level as shallow polarized? Same lens? Bronse?
Yes, absolutely! The main difference has to do with the perceived tone when the base tint is paired with a different colored mirror. The Ruby has a lower vlt % as well which makes it a great option for sunny & bright conditions for freshwater lakes and streams.
Wow . I did not know anything about sunglasses. I just love my Ray-Ban wayfarer. I need to learn more . Thanks .
Any time!
Proof that facial hair is not a valid alternative to having a personality.

Depends on arrival-departure
It shows you guys have the matt black rincons with gray glass lenses. I can’t seem to see this combo. Do you guys carry or modify these?
Hi, we carry them and can put Rx lenses into them if need be.
Do Huckson or frames similar to it work for baseball players?

Hello! All Oakley frames and lenses are designed in the USA. Some parts are manufactured and assembled in the US as well as Italy and China.
