The fact that Bama is fielding maybe one of the best college football teams of all-time, and yet little UCF has gotten so under their skin that they feel the need to trash us in UA-cam Highlight videos makes my heart happy. It's the little things in life. 21 and counting!
Its more like the fans actually think this team could compete with bama.

@@thestoobers7084 lol most of us UCF fans readily admit that Bama is on a different level this year and we would probably get destroyed (as would most teams in CFB this year). Not sure who you've been talking to, except maybe the twitter trolls who just enjoy pissing off SEC fans. We do think our team could compete with just about anyone else, as every top team except Bama has some readily apparent exploitable weakness and anything can happen in college football.
However, it's more about not having the OPPORTUNITY to play a team like Bama. And we do think that 2017's team (general consensus is that that team was more complete than this year's) could have at least competed with Alabama. Although we all know that if UCF somehow pulled the upset, the narrative would be that the other team wasn't trying or didn't care.
And before you break out "BUT WHAT ABOUT SCHEDULE"...don't. We can't control being in a sinking ship of a conference when the Big 12 turned us and a few other AAC schools away a few years ago, and other P5 conferences refuse to expand. We can't control teams like Texas backing out of scheduled games against UCF, forcing us to schedule teams like Austin Peay and SC State on short notice. We can't control hurricanes ruining multiple games against P5 opponents, nor can we control UNC taking a nosedive over the last three years after we scheduled them when they won the ACC Coastal, or Pitt being aggressively mediocre; though, ironically, they are actually one of the ACC's top contenders despite UCF beating them by 30.
@@connorgreen95 prolly last year because hurts was QB, only reason we lost to auburn in the first place.
But legit every other commenter on this post thinks UCF could compete with top 5 SEC Teams. Try beating Kentucky then talk lol

I'm a die hard UCF fan.. all i'm gonna say is yes, our defense isn't even close to what it used to be last year. BUT... it seems like we always step up in the second half and figure some stuff out. Memphis didn't score against us in the second half and Temple only scored once in the second have compared to putting up 34 in the first half. Our players might not have the most skill but their ability to make changes is pretty unbelievable.
That's all fine and good, but there is absolutely no way that this defense could impede Alabama even momentarily. Alabama would score at least 90 points on this defense if they kept their starters in throughout the game. That's not even an exaggeration.
That's all great against teams in your conference but you can't let a top P5 team score like that in the first half because you wouldn't be able to catch up in the 2nd half like the knights do against the AAC opponents.

Your confidence is built upon sinking sand. There's nothing to be confident about when you look at the UCF defense getting blitzkrieged by the temple owls. I think it's pretty objective at this point to say that UCF would get very badly beaten up by the Alabama Crimson Tide, or any of the top four teams at the moment.
That game was a great sportsmanship type game. Even after a touchdown was thrown or ran in someone from the opposite team was helping not only the quarterback but helping other players. That game was a game for sportsmaship. Dont get me wrong i love the hype and players wanting revenge towards another teams and thats what makes games more exciting, trust me i know the feeling, im a HUGE MICHIGAN fan so i know when not one player from the opposite team want to show any respect towards the other team, for example i almost hate ohio state as well as michigan state. But it was nice to see what football should be like. They looked at it not only because they obviously want to win the game but they looked at it as this is business and makeing a name for themselves for all those wonderful Scouts :)

Another struggle win and all you who believe in fairy tales that think it would be close against Bama, wake up please. ucf hasn’t been relevant and still aren’t. Nobody wants you in the playoffs. You’re undefeated for nearly two years and you can’t get to the top 5. Nobody wants to waste a playoff spot on you. Weak conference full of struggle wins. Terrible defense giving up so many points and yards against weeeeeaaaaak teams, you won’t last in the power 5 conferences. Your best bet is to do what you did last year. Go undefeated again and claim another title. That works for you right? Once your qb is gone you’ll be back to a successful year being breaking the 24 or 25 spot and winning the Birmingham bowl.

@@Jklmjghw I dont have to be an official to see a couple of bad calls. They are human and make mistakes . No big deal. Besides it's easy to see with instant replay. Officials dont review pass interference calls.

Yeah they gave up yards, but UCF doesn’t let teams score in the 2nd half. 13 points given up in the last 3 games during the third and 4th quarters. This defense is no worse than plenty in the power 5

I’m a UCF fan, but Bama would own us. I’m enjoying this amazing win streak and seeing this team play. I’m just pointing out that the defense isn’t absolute trash. It’s like a big 12 defense. Not great, not bad

Alabama 2018 is one of the best rosters I’ve seen them have in a long time.

If we lost a game I'd expect it, and would proabably be shouting with you, but 20 in a row and we are trash? No, sorry, they don't have to play each other for an objective nominally honest person to admit that Alabama is an infinitely better team from top to bottom than UCF. I'm not trying to say anything bad against that program since it's obviously a very competent and high-level system. But if people are going to actually sit there and make these outlandish claims about UCF being able to compete for 4 quarters with Alabama then they deserve to be outted as a bunch of delusional nincompoops.

No, sorry but that simply isn't true. For example, I can know without actually seeing the two teams compete that the worst NFL team is going to be able to beat the best college football team. I can know that a flimsy, skeletal,rickety Shack is not going to be able to withstand the force of a extreme level hurricane without having to actually stand there and watch the thing get swept away into the eye of the storm. Alabama and UCF are not on the same level competitively speaking. This Alabama team is probably the best college football team of all time and UCF is a team that can't even slow down the perennially awful or mediocre Temple Owls. I don't have to be witness to a game between Alabama and UCF to know who would prevail and by a vast margin.

I think ucf will never get a shot at the playoffs unless a.they switch conferences b. They schedule 2 top 25 teams in their non-confrence
You're right, unfortunately none of the major conferences want to expand. The Big 12 turned us down not too long ago after we made a big push to join. Also it's hard to schedule 2 top 25 teams when schedules are agreed on years in advance. We could agree to a game in 2022 against a team that's in the top 25 this season, but by the time we actually play the game they might be trash. We've also had teams back out of games against us, or straight up ignore our offers. I wish it was like the NCAA football games where you can just schedule whoever you want, but unfortunately that's not how real life works lol

Jack Harris ucf joining the big 12 would be so illogical because ucf is so far and would have to travel so far for each road game. And all the big 12 teams would have to travel so far to play road games at ucf. The only conferences to accept ucf is sec or acc but the coastal and west divisions are already trash they don’t need one more trash team.

Maryland is a joke and Cincinnati was obviously a pretender. Yes, when you give up 700 yards to a team that hasn't been in the top 25 but once in the last 25 years you have definitely been outed as a pretender to the BCS.
