However for those that have scales weighing out beans. Light roast beans have greater density. So if you weight 16g, 18g or 23g. You weight lesser beans due to greater volume density. So naturally, light roast beans may have fewer caffeine. But if you weigh in the dark roast beans. Due to the sheer downsize in bean density. You will find yourself scooping more beans to get the equal weight amount of 16g, 18g or 23g in comparison with light roast beans. In that regard, you will get more caffeine content than light roast beans. Simple logical explanation: light roast beans get few scoops to reach the desired grams you want in your coffee. So few caffeine content in a cup. Dark roast beans: may require more scoops to reach the grams you want in your coffee. Thus more caffeine content in the cup.

same. roasting does not effect the caffeine volume per bean.
