I have to agree: EOLR isn't algs. The way I learned the few EOLR I know, I saw the alg, and saw how ULUR edges were being put in the D layer while EO was being solved. The next time I got the case, I didn't remember any algs, but I knew how I had to move the pieces so I'd solve EO and ULUR together. The basics of EOLR is knowing how to get a 'good arrow', or force 'misoriented centers' approach. As long as you know how to influence the edges to get these cases, you're doing EOLR, even if you never look at Kian's sheet.
LSE is something that is highly intuitive, and as such we shouldn't be focusing on learning algs, rather learning how the intuition works. Algs should only teach us **how to think** and make us understand **why** we are doing the approach. Once we know the concept, we can apply it to other cases without needing any algs. I also would give emphasis on the basics, EO should be muscle memory so we can focus on influencing the ULUR edges. Without a proper foundation, the building will collapse. Without having strong basics, you cannot move onto the more advanced steps.
Good video Kian! (seeing your video after a long time haha).

I Know why u didn't learn eolr because u use different recognization method .while using your recognization method it takes 2 or 3 look and while using kians bu recognization it takes 3 to 4look . critical cubing recognization method is best

Weird. I don't even do Roux and I had the same idea that EOLR was an alg set like OLLs and PLLs. Still, with F2L, I sucked at doing it intuitively so I just study the algs - emphasis on STUDY. Like, I really follow the pieces and where they go. Since you're tracking one corner and one edge, each alg is like a little contrapuntal melody. Like Bach's 2 part inventions.

Nah, EOLR is just M'U'M and or any variation of that. You eventually start doing U2's or M2's when you figure it out. That's literalky all it is.

    Hey Kian !
I dont know if this is ever happened to you.. Sometimes after I finish my first 2 blocks, last 2 edges in the bottom will automatically be solve.. So I left with CFOP style, which is OLL and PLL... Is this ever happened to you?

Figure out all the different ways to solve an EO case into arrow, then intuitively go throug the "algs" to see which solutions set up the good arrows. Or, just watch my video playlist linked in the description...

EOLR technically isn't an alg set, but they are still algorithms, because of the definition of algorithm. They aren't hard so i don't understand how people are confused by it. It's completely intuitive, and you can memorize them all by solving it about 10-20 times you'll run into all the cases multiple times. And it can't be that hard to memorize. I learned all of them in about 30 minutes. The easiet way to learn them is if you have a case just do random m and u moves until you figure out the quickest way. Once you learn that, then you can learn to manipulate which edges are going where. To avoid having to do an an extra step for set up. Alot of the time i end up with a U H or Z perm, because that's just how it ends up. But when i don't, M2 U2 always solves it. Except when i get dots, but i usually avoid that one.

Dots isnt that bad of a case. Just a bit of weird finger trick

    • @mattevans1643

I know it's not bad, it's really easy, but the E move is just weird. I'm getting better at it though, because i've started using E moves in block building.

While EOLR may not be algorithmic there should be some way to chromogeometrically(ua-cam.com/video/kRHKbJMm6xE/v-deo.html) group the results. This would allow one to talk about the results consistently and mathematically when guiding another.
I am still struggling with the arrow and it still seems "surprising" to me when the arrow appears. I am working on paying attention to the rest of the cube but I need a "framework"(mathemtaical) to guide my mind through it. So that I can prepare my mind so that I am not "surprised" by the arrow appearing.
yes, yes, practice makes perfect but knowing how mathematics applies will allow for a "better understanding".
Oh and the cube is actually a hyperbolic and chromogeometric representation of the matrix. Which is why we are all so interested in it...
Thank you for your, seemingly, limitless guidance(via videos).
