A truly great speedway rider. I remember talking to him when he visited Sheffield Speedway (my own track) he was simply incredible that night being unbeaten and it was so good to say he didn't act as if he was the best thing ever but was very kind and considerate to me and thanked me for appreciating his racing ability and style. Will always remember that brilliant racing style and his kindly good natured smile.
