The best review of this guitar I have seen. The only one where the effects were properly demo'd. Nice work. Thank you.
The strap on the gig bag comes off and connects to those 2 mystery items that are the attachments for the guitar’s strap buttons. Quite an interesting design, I think. Thanks for a well done review and thorough demo otherwise!
Not anymore, they don't sell that bag with the guitar anymore
@@chrismcpherson7582 What so they include? Any other changes/lowered standards? Thx!
@@Trenchant468it comes with a bag, but it’s less substantial. The new bag is one notch better than a floppy gig bag.
Thank you this is the breakdown video I been looking for. Beautifully played brother
Loved the video , i had purchased one a few hours earlier and was looking for more info and you certainly provided it . Thanks man .
Great review I watched others review this guitar but your really impressed me and I am considering buying one. Your playing was amazing TY for sharing.
I was on the fence but you completely sold me on it. Great demo track!
That's actually pretty impressive. I really like the tones. They cut through nicely.
Thanks a bunch for sharing!
thanks dude!
I got one of these last Christmas and it’s legit one of the most fun guitars I’ve ever played. So comfy to play and such a great tone.
Definitely the best review of this guitar I have seen. Lots of pertinent infos and demos and less gushing. Thanks for this, and btw, the odd little loops connect to the case strap to make a guitar strap, but I'm sure someone has pointed that out already!
Thanks!
You must have seen some terrible reviews, because he didn't cover the most important part of how this guitar is turned on, or how the effects and volume are controlled.
Pretty cool Instrument. It's a multi-FX pedal with a carbon fiber guitar built around it. sounds good.
Indeed it is!
That thing is pretty cool and sounds great! Another awesome review Richard!
Thanks 👍
I think I know what is happening, these are all of his family members or friends writing these reviews, right? He did not cover the most important parts of how this guitar is turned on, how the effects are changed from one to the next, and that you control the volume of it as well. Can you tell me how any of those things are accomplished from watching this review?
Awesome demo for this cool guitar! I just bought the regular acoustic version and am seriously considering sending it back and getting this one instead. Thanks for the very detailed info on the effects as well as using the app. 👍🙂🎵
Glad you enjoyed it! Yeah the effects in this are pretty cool!
the best review! thanks for the video!! I was between EGA-X0 and this but now I can say I will go with GO Sp1!! thanks for your review!!
My New Year's gift!
Damn it, 2023 New Year resolution was not to watch this channel ... Now I bought that carbon beauty (in black)! Richard!!!
😄 hide it from your wife!
🤣🤣🤣🤘🔥👍 definetly hide it for awhile!
I wanted black, but Amazon only had Easter egg blue left 😞
Great demo Richard, that sounded awesome man 😀🤘🎵🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Nice playing! Great to the point review. Great to sample effects!
Thanks
Those effects are beyond cool, the app looks friendly enough and being able to create different saved settings is great. The colors I want (pink or sparkling silver) are sold out... Whew!!! That was a close call, but it IS in my cart saved for later. Guess I'll continue my lessons and get one for my next birthday, so I'd best keep learning! Great Review Richard - always informative and just enjoyable to watch. Thanks Man!
💥🎸💥🎸💥🎸💥🎸💥🎸💥
Looks like all of the colors are sold out! Hopefully back in stock soon. Thanks!
Glad I found this
Awesome video. You sold me!
MAN, I LOVE THIS VIDEO, I MUST HAVE WATCHED IT 20 TIMES. I WANT THIS GUITAR... BAD. I JUST GOTTA GET A POSITIVE RESPONSE FROM THE WIFE. MAYBE YOU CAN TALK TO HER, HUGH... LOL... I SAW YOU WITH GUITAR MAX, KILLER BROTHER. YOU GOTTA BE THE MOST SHRED-O-RIFIC GUY OUT THERE... KEEP PUSHIN ON MY BALD BROTHER... PEACE FROM CREEL CHIHUAHUA, MEXICO... YOU MUSTA BEEN IN THE SAME LINE AS ME IN HEAVEN. REMEMBER WHEN GOD SAID, " YOU WANT HAIR OR BRAINS," AND WE CHOSE BRAINS... LOVE YOUR CHANEL YOU ROCK, OR SHOULD I SAY SHRED...
awesome review man! I got one this morning. I wanted an acoustic but I'm one of the rare few who do not enjoy the bulk of the standard prominent ones in the market currently.
i watched another video saying that the strap from the gig bag comes off and you hook that to the loops so the strap is multi purpose. i did my reasearch and now i am patiently waiting for the guitar to come. thanks for the vid cant wait to get mine!! CHEERS!!
Nice review! The color I want is pink! The effects are easily to use and swift.
@2:55 i am going to learn that entire thing you just did it sounded magical
Love your recording! ❤️
Thanks!
This is one of very few reviews that go over the built in overdrive. Sounds a lot better than you’d expect!
I can't find it in the app, myself. I'm sort of bummed. Did they remove it?
wow cool review wish I could play like you you rock dude!
Thanks
A campfire dream. Really cool!!!
This guitar is such brilliant value for money. I'll be getting one for my daughter to learn on.
The smaller size will be perfect for her. Plus is very easy to play. Good luck!
Beautiful song. I'd buy the CD.
Nice guitar, pretty amazing, those effects add a lot. Thanks for the entertaining video. You have an amazing talent.
Glad you enjoyed it
Those funny loop things you attach to the strap buttons actually get used with the travel bag strap, like a regular guitar strap. Pretty cool if you're stuck without a strap!
Thanks
love it
You really made that guitar sound nice. I just ordered one! Great demo.
Thanks. I hope you like it!
@@thebaldshredder I just got it. I absolutely love it! It sounds as good as my Taylor GS Mini. Of course it doesn't sound like my Martin guitars.....but it is great and addicting.
This is the Nova Go right? I keep seeing one on Amazon that isn’t exactly the same. Just want to make sure before I hit buy.
@@arthuratkins5902 The ones that are left have no effects and are acoustic only. If you keep watching the acoustic electrics will show up again on Amazon.
i received mine today its fun
Ordered!🙏
That's crazy! This guitar is super cool man 🎸
Yep
Now that's cool
wow that's cool, great review. How many effects simoultaneously?
Those strap things at the end actually allow you to move the strap from the case to the guitar. Looks like a great little guitar
Thank you! I knew someone would know.
Came here to say this. LOL
The ends of the strap have like a key ring type thing. You slip the key ring thingy into the loop of which the other end has a hole for the peg
Awesome! That guitar is surely better than the Epiphone DR-100 I was given. It was free cause it has a bad neck hump at the neck joint and has uneven frets I need to file down. Shame on you Epiphone cause I've seen many same complaints by a lot of people with the same model! A local luthier told me a lot of modern guitars suffer from issues like this because they don't let the wood age as long as they used to anymore, in order to just rush out product.
I love the finish on this! It kinda reminds me of the Washburn AB series of acoustic/electric basses though, the built-in effects and other features like carbon fiber body set it above something like that. I just goes to show that modern budget instruments can easily rival and in some cases, even surpass expensive vintage gear from just a few decades ago.
I would love to try that guitar with the Swiff Audio WS-50 wireless system I bought. Have you ever heard of it? I have had a really good experience with that system, I wound up buying 3 sets - _low, undetectable latency, no noise or interference, good range and unbroken signal from room to room, good battery life (approx 4 to 5 hrs. on one charge), relatively inexpensive (about $50 for a transmitter, receiver and double USB tipped charging cable for charging both units at the same time)._
The best parts are being able to pair more than one receiver unit to one transmitter. So, now I have an almost cable-free bass rig. One paired pair from my bass to my effects, my effects being the only things connected via quality patch cables, and then another transmitter from my effects paired to 2 receivers that I plug into 2 separate bass amps. Cuts down on a lot of noise and of course, the best thing is being free to move around without worrying about stepping on cables or snagging them on furniture.
I just looked up this Enya guitar and it's caught my interest. I might be looking into it further. Thanks for the video, brother! Take it easy!
Great video!! Oh yeah the strap on the gig bag is also the strap for the guitar (from what I’ve seen on other video’s 🤔🤗), check it out. This is one of the best video’s on this guitar I’ve seen so far! Thank you!!
Thanks Tim!
I camp a lot and this thing has been amazing 🙌⚡️⚡️⚡️
the app was so fun😂 it can adjust those effects! really great travel guitar!
What's the app name
Dude🤣 great playing..I'm Getting ready to pull the trigger on this guitar.. I'm a beginner in my fifties so this might be good for me.. Those two little things that you were talking about.. They hook onto the guitar and then you use the strap from the bag as your guitar strap🤯boom!! A little something to make it even better🤗🎸
Thanks for the info.
🎉❤ cool guitar but you just made it way cooler!
Do a video on the Enya sonic brother!! Love the videos!!
It's coming up within the next few weeks.
Okay… I don’t even know the first thing about playing a guitar, but I’m about to buy one now lol
Enjoy the journey!
I think I really wanna have one❤
Absolutely the best review of this guitar on YT!! Can you share how you recorded this? Did you have a room mic?
For the original song I played, the guitar was recorded direct into my audio interface with my computer.
@@thebaldshredder Does this guitar work with Apple IOS systems and MAC OS systems?
Brother i think you could make a broom stick with one string on it sound good nice playing and that guitar has got me sold
That thing actually seems pretty wicked. Especially in the metallic green. It's almost the same shade as my PRS Starla in Frost Green Metallic. Great pricing too!
Not very much info on the actual specs anywhere except for the weight and scale length though... What's the radius?
Not sure. Can't tell by looking at it.
I’m getting the mini version
What a terrific review. You make this guitar sound really, really good. So, you don't have to have a amp for the electric effects? I am a senior beginner. Would it be a good guitar for me?
Yes! The guitar has a built in speaker so you can hear the effects without an amp. To turn it on, you hold down the power button until it lights up. Also, there are two versions of this guitar: the electric version with effects (that's the one I have in this video), and the non electric with no effects. If you order one, make sure it's the right one. And the electric one is often sold out.
My god. What was the name of the song you were playing in the beginning. It was amazing. Thanks for the preview... I just ordered the guitar. Cheers.
No title. Just something I made up.
I actually expected a higher price for that. Not bad at all.
Pretty good deal for what you're getting.
I just bought my starter kit that comes with a regular wooden one. If I enjoy playing I'm gonna get this
Are you still playing? Did you get the Enya guitar?
I want one.
I have one being delivered today. I'm hoping it helps restoke my desire to play more since it is travel sized. I haven't played much in a dozen years or so after burning out on the cover band grind.
Good luck! Hopefully you enjoy it again.
@@thebaldshredder Thank you. I always said “it’ll be there when I feel it”, but sometimes life gets in the way. I just found your channel today and really enjoy it.
I understand 100%. I spent several years barely touching my guitars. Life just didn't allow time for it. But these past few years, I've had more time and rekindled my interest. Got the UA-cam channel going, and here I am.
I accidentally got the acoustic, not the electric acoustic… dang. This looks great
I hate the logo cut out - but have to get one
Cool man
👍
I own one. It´s pretty awesome only think that really disappointed me, was the strap. I love the idea of switching it between guitar and case, but mine didn´t even hold 5 Times of carrying and switching. I was lucky, mine broke right after i left the house. But would that happend 5 minutes later, while riding my bike. i guess than it was a nova go for the longest time. It´s cheap and i recommend you to but another strap on it. If you travel with it.
Min 2:40 sounds celestial, amazing, did you used the piezo only or an extra mic? great review!
Piezo only
@@thebaldshredder Thanks! sounds amazing :)
Sorry don't want to bother you on Christmas,is the action ok?
@@sprugian yes, plays very nice
@@thebaldshredder Thanks
It doesn't have traditional magnetic pick ups, so I'm assuming it does not need steel strings, is that correct?
I wanna ask one question sir ,
While performing in a concert If Charging goes down , then what should we do ?
How did you get distortion and/or overdrive?
i had one question does it pickup percussion sounds from the body if i do that style of playing??
I know this video was 9 months ago but I am thinking about buying this guitar. I just wanted to know if there's a "hard rock" sound or "50s rock" sound, like a regular electric guitar. Not just an acoustic sound
How does this guitar body sounds when played percussive on it like kick, snare etc
what chord are u playing on 2:40? Never mind, I figured it out. Beautiful song.
E minor. You got it! Cool. Thanks.
Mr Bald Shredder, did you share videos of yourself shredding and singing on Harmony Central back around 2005-2008?
You seem really familiar from HC. If you, I really enjoyed your videos back then, as I do your YT videos.
Probably. I was on there at some point.
My concern with this is when the battery goes (and it absolutely will), can it be replaced?
Straps on case DOUBLE as a guitar strap. Those 2 connectors go on the buttons so you unhook the case strap and use it as a guitar strap with clips. Then return to the case strap. Cool?
Yep, thanks.
Sounds so beautiful. What song was that?
I wrote it.
I wonder if it'd fit in a regular size suitcase, a checked bag. I'm going into the Peace Corps and I'm thinking to sell my Ovation Baladeer that's been my baby for 40+ years just because of size.
In ALL the videos of seen, not one mentioned there was an app to control the effects. Thanks!
👍
@@thebaldshredder Most other reviews say the app is clunky or inoperable. Hmmm...
Are the strongs nylon? If not can you swap into em?
The Link you provided is not for that Guitar ! Your link is for the Non Electric Acoustic version of the Guitar you are demonstrating !
You are demonstrating the SP1 model...the link is the Acoustic version.
Liked/Subscribed
The link is the same for both versions. Scroll down on the Amazon listing and you'll see where you can choose the electric or non-electric version.
Are you sponsored, my guitar in on the way already, but I am just wondering
How is the sound projection turned off, does it sound like a baby guitar, or lower?
does it uses regular acoustic strings?
Pretty cool guitar , not my thing but not bad. Sounds decent!✌️
Is the battery replaceable?
What is the width of the fret?
Is it true the neck doesn't have a Truss Rod?
Hi, recently ordered a guitar, it arrived and I wanted to see your review again to get your Tone samples and really wanted to try the Overdrive, but unfortunately the latest versions don't have it, not for me problem i found older versions of the app and they have overdrive but i can't turn it on because the app is asking for a speaker may i ask if you used a speaker or how you were able to play Overdrive?
The guitar has to be plugged into an external speaker, like an amplifier. The overdrive won't work with the internal speaker.
@@thebaldshredder Got it, thank you for your reply.
🎉🎉🎉
does this have a lefty version
What is the price?
Is the Guitar Battery replaceable ?
PS: The Strap on the carrying case hooks to those 2 loops that hook on to the buttons on the guitar body.
I don't know about the battery. Thanks.
Oh... Enya... Who can say where the road goes? Where the day flows? Only time...Sorry. Wrong Enya. Nice guitar, by the way!
my only concern is that it's 1/2 size and i'm not sure if i should learn on it
I just have one question, it is regarding battery life, and is it possible to play it with the carger on, because I would use this small but beautifull mf for gigs actually.
I tried it in the store but I am not sure about the battery
The acoustic only version is $161 for Prime members right now and the electric is $302, so I opted for the less expensive model. BUT, I am having some regrets. Maybe I should've just spent the extra cash. I dabble with drums and keyboards but have never really tried learning guitar, so I didn't want to spend too much.
Have fun with it!
This electric model is $223 right now for Prime Day!
@@fern5580 Thanks. I just returned the acoustic only and got the electric acoustic. Well worth another $50-60 for me. Deal wasn't available in black so I got blue. Slightly prefer black but DEF prefer the electric. 👍
would you recomend this guitar for someone who is self-learning? I have an old acustic guitar, is dificult to me do a F chord, I'm having doubs... I'm not a pro, i know some chords "G, D, A, E..." the simple ones , would you recomend for me ? :)
Yes, definitely. This guitar is very easy to play.
Need a flying V version. lol
May I ask please, the effects - does it come from the guitar itself of does it need to be plugged in?
The effects are in the guitar, but you control them from the app on your phone. The guitar has an internal speaker, so you can use it with effects not plugged in. But of course you can also plug into something.
I can't see an option for overdrive
I can’t find distortion as an effect in my Enya app. I purchased my guitar three weeks ago.
Not sure. They may have removed it.
There's no external amplifier used in this demo, just the guitar as is, right?
The guitar is plugged directly into my audio interface going into my computer. No amps or effects are used in my software. The Reverb and the delay that you can slightly hear are coming from the app connected to the guitar.
I have not seen even one negative review of this guitar, so I got real interested and tried it out... At 6' I could barely keep it on my lap. And it's REAL thin. And I mean on tone too. I was in the shop strumming unplugged and could barely hear the push button effects.
If you play electric already go ahead, but it's NOT an acoustic player's solution.
It’s definitely not made for performance. The location of the sound hole make it seem that it’s primarily intended as a travel/practice guitar. It’s cheap and ultra durable. A mere glance at it would tell you it won’t sound anything like a wood acoustic, but it seems fun.
