I have another way to solve the 5-point buggered up issue. I learned it from Woodchuck Russ The Deck Dr and it does work. I got in a push mower with the blade tightened down but not aligned on the adapter because the adapter points were swaged off slightly. Use a small drift or cold chisel and hammer and carefully tap the sides of each point back into shape again until you can fit the blade back on correctly. I did this on the mower on the ground tipped on its side but you could certainly remove the adapter and do it in a vice. Only took me less than 5 minutes because the adapter wasn’t real bad. For me this saved the time and money of having to source a new adapter so I could get the mower back to the customer faster. Worked perfectly!
Man kind remind me of my problem with my craftsman blade adapter all the teeth got knocked off had to order new adapter. Man you've got all the tools a guy could wish for💪🏽
