I watched this video again - two times in two days. You pack so many tips into your instruction! Lots to learn and you do a wonderful job of presenting this. Thank you!!!
This was a really good video. You took your time and showed us so many different tips on how to improve our short videos and make them shine. Thanks for all your guidance! I already watched your first video twice. I'll have to watch this one again! Kind regards!
Very thorough. Covers a lot of material. One suggestion would be a shorter but more detailed tutorial on matching the sound track. Whenever you did that I found it very hard to follow. I am not really sure what you tried to accomplish - sudden increase in music volume synched with increase in voice volume? Loud music to flashy graphics? YOU might have known what you were after and how to do it, but you did this in both of your 2 videos so far and I could not replicate it. It seems like a topic that is general enough - matching sound to motion or words - that there might be an audience. Antway a very good reference video especially with the key times of each topic in the description. Thanks
I may not the able to make video on that topic any time sooner but I will summarize it for you with a few tips. 1. When voiceover is in play, you need to lower the volume so that voiceover can be heard properly. 2. Try to match the sound with the graphics. Sad video = sad music. Happy video = Happy music. If something fast is happening on the screen then you should choose a fast or intense music. You have seen this technique in videos/movies/songs. 3. Put fade-in/out at the start and end of the music to make a smooth transition. I also provide 1 on 1 coaching so if you need any help with graphics design, adobe softwares, video editing, any help solving some computer issues etc. send me an email. You can find that in my channel description.
Thanks again for your excellent tutorials. I'm enjoying playing with Clipchamp but unlike iMovie that I used before, it takes an awful long time for the clips I'm using to load into the media. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong?
Hi, I'm glad that you're enjoying my tutorials. Sometimes if your input file is in a different format, Clipchamp converts it behind the scenes so that you can use it in your project. This conversion step can take some time, depending on the file's size and resolution, and the CPU and graphics card of your computer. This might be why you need to wait longer. MP4 files work best for Clipchamp. If loading doesn't progress at all, it's possible it got stuck. Try reloading the page. Also, make sure that your internet is working fine cause it requires an active internet connection to function and to save your editing progress.
@@SaadJeeTabassam Ah must be the file type. I have very fast internet anda full on gamer's computer, so - that just leaves the file type. I'll change the format I record in then. Thanks for the advice
No, I'm not using a paid version. Actually, Clipchamp has moved the content(images, music, videos etc.) categories under a single tab called "Content Library" now but It's the same thing. I have talked about that in the 3rd part(How to customize templates in clipchamp) of this course.
Hi, you explained very well. I am having a problem in putting text, I choose "Typewriter" style and few fonts for my videos. In the beginning it works well but suddenly it got reverse from Left to Right to Right to Left, it always happens. I tried online Clipchamp and in my pc too. I un-installed and re-installed gain, but the problem remain same. Can you plz suggest how to fix this problem.?
Hi, when you use the "Typewriter" effect then first the text is typed from left to right and then before the layer ends, the text starts disappearing from right to left. This is the way the effect was built- it types the text, then erases it. If you don't want the text to be erased or want it to stay longer on the screen, then you can simply drag the layer from the end and increase it's duration. Hope that helps!
@@SaadJeeTabassam sorry saad, I have got a 30 mins video, and I only want to keep parts of this video at 0.10secs, 0.40 secs, 0.56 secs I have about 70 moments which is all I want to keep, and remove the rest!
@@chriscoughlan5221 Ok so you want to delete the unnecessary parts and keep specific portions of your video. You can make as many splits to your video as much you want and there is also no limit to the number of videos you can create with Clipchamp. You can use the Split option(Shortcut "S" key) to make splits. I've explained that in the Part 1(How to use Clipchamp) of this course. You can watch Part 1 at 16:32 (How to split a clip) if you need help.
Can you tell me how can we replace a video that has black background with another video. Sort of making it an overlay. For example, I have footage of a person talking with black background, what I need is just like green screen effect replace the black background with another video, similar to the lady talking in this video but I already have the video with black background so in those cases how can we fix that? Please help in this issue.
Currently, you can remove red, blue, and green backgrounds, but black backgrounds cannot be removed directly in Clipchamp. However, there is a workaround you can try: Search for "online video background remover" on Google. Choose a website from the search results that offers this service and use it to remove the background from your video. Once the background is removed, import the video into Clipchamp to continue your editing project.
@@SaadJeeTabassam Yeah tried using the black/white removal option in clipchamp, works decent but around the edges some issue still remains and if there is anything black or white in the frame of the person that also gets affected. Thanks for the suggestion though.
@@Erikshan Yes. It is very hard to achieve a perfect background remove around the edges even with the green screens. Try reducing the strength, that might help a little. In order to achieve a perfect color keying(green, red, blue screen), the background color should be totally different than the subject.

Can a clickable hyperlink be added to a video?
No, clickable hyperlinks cannot be directly added into the video file itself.
