I love your channel and regularly watch it. Just a small suggestion/comment, regarding this video: don't let the caliper assembly free hang from the brake like. What I do is use a bungie cord from the subframe, or wherever, above, and hang the caliper on that, as to not put any strain on the hydraulic line/fittings. It can be damaged if you drop something on it, slip and grab it, etc. Keep up the good work.

If you don't think these help, you should have a look at it after a few seasons of gnarly technical riding. Ours are bashed all over. Well worth the money, and the one-piece designs like these are definitely the strongest and best you can buy.

thanks for putting up this. it was a big help seeing how the company doesnt have one and their printed instructions are pretty weak. not sure i wouldve been able to figure it out without this video!

I surprised you found that pin so easily if I did that it would've disappeared into an abyss and never be seen again

This is a great time to put some grease on the back of the brake pads to reduce squeaky brakes.

Helpful videos. I was stumped on how the caliper came off of the original bracket.

Great job of recovering the brake pad clip. Do you take your axel adjuster bolts out and put some anit-seize on them? I've found it keeps them from getting frozen in the swing arm later. The Bullet Proof disc guard looks great. Really rugged looking construction.

Funny I just installed this on my 2018.5 KTM 450 about 6 weeks ago and was looking all over for an installation video.

Kyle good video and I’m sure your aware that a number of people watch your channel that may not have ever worked on a bike. There are a couple of things that aren’t quite right. It’s a wheel and not a tire your removing. Adding some rubber grease to the brake sliders would have been good to do now. The brake pads can be installed after the wheel goes on which can make the entire installation easier, specifically for people new to this task. The last thing is the gap in the rhs chain adjuster in this you could have added some info like putting a rag between the chain and sprocket to pull the wheel forward.

I suck, clearly :) I also have other videos that show things like that. It wasn't the purpose of this video to show how to adjust chain tension. The gap was before I had tightened things up. This ain't as easy as it seems. Just FYI...

Dirt Bike Channel all good Kyle. Yes I have seen you explain some of those things in other videos.

Yeah... With this many followers, I think he needs to mention things as you mentioned in every video, and maybe rewatch the footage for any little error, missed message, before ever posting. but as Kyle said, it's not as easy as it seems. who knows how much time he actually has before posting each vid. At least he's humble enough to admit it. Props for that.

    Hello
Thank you for a good channel.
I wonder what bike to buy for my daughter she is 11 years old. She does not have much experience in driving. Have driven a few times on a honda 50cc.
    Sincerely
    Johan from Sweden

Kyle, just a footnote, I typically reinstall Brake parts with a thin coating of “Tef-Gel” which is a very viscos teflon based water proof lubercant. I discovered this stuff when I lived in Florida, as I was buying and flipping boats. It’s super sticky, and you’ll never use anti-seize again after using this stuff. It’s not cheap, 4oz jar is about $28 bucks, but I’ve had mine for like 10+ yrs, and still 3/4 full. All those pins and brake pads will thank you later, and all those treaded bolts too. Here is the link: www.amazon.com/Tef-Gel-TG-02-Anti-seize-Anyi-gull-Lubricant/dp/B00CEF65T4/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1539659981&sr=8-3&keywords=tef-gel+corrosion+eliminator On Amazon.com

Do you reckon a kx 85 is a good motor bike for a 12 yr old kid that’s 155 cm tall ps I LOVE your channel

    • @rentonsclips1425
      @rentonsclips1425 6 років тому

Depends on your skill level as well bud, but a kx85 would be a perfect bike for you by the sounds of it, before you move up to something like a 125 in a year or so👍
