So the girl got the stretch marks on her butt removed when she was 15.... does she know that, you know, you're still growing at that age and she could just get new stretch marks as she grows up ??
Alex In Wonderland you can't blame her for what she did. maybe her stretch marks were really bad. I'm light skinned and I've got some really dark brown stretch marks on my hips and the inside of my thighs that I don't really like. honestly if I had the means I would get them removed. and before you come saying they were other things to try instead of surgery. some things don't work for some people.
The ginger girl says "it was empowering because I did it for myself, people think you do it to impress other people". But she says near the start "it was for my self, but it was more for people noticing". Seems very contradicting to me..
Aaria Holton The moment I heard that I had to stop the video and rewind to the part where she explained her reasoning behind decision to get the plastic surgery. She being a hypocrite there.
*0:59* _"It was for myself- _*_but it was more for, like, people noticing_*_ "_ *2:58* _"People think when you get a cosmetic procedure you do it to impress other people - it's all about making yourself feel better about yourself"_
JustDontAskIDK Than I guess you don’t understand facts. Now one is good for your physical health and the other is not? I’ll let you guess which one it is. It’s kinda a huge difference between the two things.
The nipple thing is ridiculous and unnecessary but the girls Who got small things done to their nose or for stretch marks I don’t find bad. If it makes them more confident then it shouldn’t be frowned upon,
Jasmine Jones the other girls were body conscious their whole lives and that girl just got hers done to be able to wear the same shirts as some other girls. unnecessary and ridiculous.
They need psychologists before plastic surgery. Not saying they are crazy, but if the negative perception of self image does not change, the risk of being addicted to plastic surgeries as a coping behaviour could lead to devastating results.
I was just thinking that. The fact that they began thinking of changing themselves just because others couldn't accept them doesn't mean they should give in and change. Idk
I so agree - they are far too young, need to wait till they're fully grown and developed. what are their parents thinking allowing this? far too much importance attached to how you look in pics on social media, if they're starting this now where on earth will it end?
Jim_Pin I get your point. Kylie Jenner does feel bad for what she did but she did it anyways. Now....this is the problem. Just bcuz you’re not saying, “You should get plastic surgery like me to look prettier and your problems will be solved,” once you had surgery, people will start looking up to you. It doesn’t matter if you tell them or not, once you start to do something, it’s a nature for others to look up at you and use you as an excuse that it’s okay to do so. Kylie Jenner looked beautiful before surgery. And although it’s “her body her choice”, since she’s in the spotlight, once she starts doing something, ppl will say something like, “Wait! Mom! My sister gets to do that but why can’t I?” If you have siblings, that is how it is.
Jim_Pin Yes. Kylie isn’t responsible for this, and I agree with you about it’s wrong to say that she is responsible for this. But what I’m saying is that she’s being used as an *excuse* .
they’re all beautiful....just because her skin color is black does not automatically make her beautiful. y’all say you don’t see color and then do this shit. no reason to specify one girl over the others cause of her skin color
Olivia Jules I wasn't trying to be racist or rude I just did not remember their names by the end of the video. If you scroll through the comments no one is calling them by their names but referring to them as "redhead" whitegirl" ....calm down. Sorry I find HER BEAUTIFUL.
She shouldn't be role model because she got everything done! What is so special about her! She is sending the wrong message to kids and we don't want teenagers to look up to a plastic bag! I don't really like plastic surgery (only if necessary) because if you are insecure about something embrace it! Learn how to love you body for fucks sake!
I 100% understand what your talking about and I’m not trying to argue but getting plastic surgery at a younger age is better because instead getting it when your older it basically freezes the young look while you still have it. If I had the money I would totally get it in the next couple years, I’m in my younger teenage years and I have a lot in insecurities about my lips and nose.
valorine take an advice from an adult 24yrs old girl: don't. You're gonna look like a stupid doll and regret it, you most likely don't need it. Your insecurities are normal at your age, stay away from toxic social medias that's not real. Cultivate your personality instead.
Im a young teen but how you look like now-is kind of how your going to look like later Im thinking about plastic surgery cause im not that pretty Its okay ?
I agree with the first girl if you want to change it, then do it and who gives a damn what anyone else thinks? You shouldn’t feel like you have to change it, but like if you want to, who are any of us to judge? It’s not our bodies..
I would agree if it was changing your hair color. But this is surgery and should never be taken lightly. Every surgery is risky---that is why they make you sign a release before hand. Ask people who live in chronic pain if they'd rather be pain-free or look pretty. All sorts of horrible things could go wrong and we always think it only happens to "other people". Sometimes that person is us.
I absolutely hate how the first girl said if theres something you dont like about yourself why not fix it. Why not just grow to love yourself, theyre still kids they've hardly lived any life in the real world where no one cares what you look like if you want to get a boyfriend find soemone who love you for you not show off on social medias Sorry i got kind of off hand then all im trying to say is dont change anything when youre young learn to love yourself and when your older and youre still not satisfied maybe consider it
generally i agree with what you have said. i mean sometimes you even wonder if these girl really get all these procedures done bc of themselves or rather bc they were bullied or just want to follow the current trend. but at the same time, i think that you only live once and if you have the money why not just do it? instead of really spending years hating the way you look
i agree!! i also hated my nose when i was a preteen and then my boobs when i was a teen, and now as an adult i’ve grown to love both these traits because i’ve stuck with myself. easier said than done but i wouldn’t change myself anymore, i’m good enough as it is 💜
SidneyJ04 • that’s what aggravated me, “why not fix it,” well a lot of people that want cosmetic procedures done they have to front the bill themselves. These young girls have their parents paying for their nose jobs, boob jobs, etc.
well...sorry to inform you but since its her body your opinion doesn't really matter. it may be easy for you to love yourself but to others its harder. if she wants to change something about herself that will boost her self esteem and happiness, why shouldn't she invest in it. for example, if someone wants to change the color of their hair would you try to stop them because its not her original hair color?
darkestskie True! I think I read about a study where people reported to be most dissatisfied with themselves/their lives (in regards to social media) after being on instagram and Snapchat, UA-cam was on the list but wasn't reported to be half as bad as the first two! It's interesting how social media effects us!
Haha true, didnt claim that was the only reason for being unhappy/dissatisfied in life lol ^^ I'm not trying to villainize social media either just thought its an interesting study since we are bombarded with "perfection"/ads in a whole new aspect than before, it reminds me a bit of the film "The Joneses" :P I know that I personally do feel much worse about myself/my life when I see people on social media "living the life", but of course it all depends on what ones does on those platforms! :P
You see all these celebrities on social media who get work done and have a whole set of people to make them look good and photoshop and young girls like them literally think 'if Kylie jenner did it why cant i' . This shows how celebrities really impact young people
kumquats I am 17 not once have i been impacted, which shows it's not the celebrities, it's the people who look up to them and their personal issues with their appearance, I was brought up to accept everything and everyone and to be free, I am free because I have no insecurities.
SpiderHair this. Parents always act like celebrities are to blame when it is not their job to raise your children. Celebrities are just people too, they should be free to live their lives like others
SpiderHair Andrea Lang it’s not just celebrities, though they are involved, but it’s social media as whole, as in all the photoshopped magazines, and the skinny plastic dolls in Instagram photos. This is coming from my personal experience. I definitely know that social media makes me feel insecure about myself and maybe you have already grown up but this is what it’s like for my generation. I am currently 14.
Laura Christie I never said it's celebrities, I said it was the parents, and if youre 14 then you should be out playing rounders or something not posting on insta and what do you mean by "skinny plastic dolls"? Are you saying skinny people make you insecure? If so then you really need to sort your life out, we can't help being skinny.
Natalie Ann where in any part of my comment was I stating that they wouldn’t? I simply was stating that when I clicked this I expected more of a change and as long as they’re happier with their change it’s good for them.
That's the point, their surgeries weren't to create a new image, it was to fix little things that they felt when gone would look better and make them feel a lot better.
Cameron so what if Jenny called her black? She should be proud of her skin colour and should embrace it, people shouldn't stay quiet about it either. You got the message didn't you? And she was being really really polite, nothing wrong with what was said.
Cameron I honestly feel black skin is so beautiful and its sad that they had to go through so much to be accepted because honestly it's so beautiful and hate how we humans are. We treat each other like shut and kill this world and provide nothing.
Michael the girl is 19, practically an adult , she makes these decisions to get all these procedures which undoubtedly are copied by her young 'fans' . Regardless if you think it is her parents who are at fault , she's a big girl who choses to do these things
Why is plastic surgery becoming a norm in today's society? It's not a "feminist act", it's impressionable young people (usually girls) who are conforming to societal pressures. These surgeries are just asserting that Western features are the epitome of beauty. Why can't a wide nose be a symbol of beauty? I know that everyone feels pressure to live up to these standards and it can seem overbearing but the fact is, it's avoidable. It takes time to learn to accept your natural features but eventually you'll come to love those features that make you individual. How boring it would be if we all plumped our lips, narrowed down our noses, made our breasts perkier until we all looked the same...
I'm irani and if you look at popular iranian insta pages... they're all got their noses done to hell and back. Like they've got smaller noses than some white ppl I know and it's crazy.
well said +1. And I am a girl from China, there're more and more girls in my circles choosing a plastic surgery to change their nose or eyes.My BFF is one of them.Sometimes I ask myself if I want to do that as her,my answer is always no, because I'm scared. But to be honest, they're much more beautiful than before and get more love...well,a little jealousy.
I totally agree with you Alex, plastic surgery does not even make you feel better about your self it just puts a band aid on something that i totally bigger than the outside, they do this because of self hate and pressure from society. We were put on this earth in this form and we have to cherish this form with love. These girls have not fully awaken to the fact of this and it saddens me, hopefully one day we will stop doing plastic surger
Daneya Jay well it kinds does anyway because if you didn’t have money you wouldn’t have a house, food, shelter, mostly everything you need to survive :/ except for family and friends
This is so bizarre. Stretch marks at 15 and nipples done? Huh? I think plastic surgery is everyone's choice, but those two are just weird. If people do plastic surgeries for themselves, than why do they say things like: Kylie Jenner got her lips done at a very young age, why can't I?
I don't think anyone truly does plastic surgery solely for themselves, like that makes zero sense. If no one would have told them negative things about themselves would they gone to surgery? They want to be beautiful in other peoples eyes
Im 15 and as a normal person I got stretch marks. I got them on my butt, on my stomach, some of them on my legs and yes, I dont like them at all and maybe she didnt like them too. I think that getting laser removals is fine because you dont feel confortable with yourself and you want to take them off
I'd like for western society to focus more on spiritual growth rather than materialism because for me at least that's what makes me the happiest. Still I'm glad if the girls are happy and confident now and dont create new obsessions about their body image. We're all going to get old and it's better if you realize that when you're young.
I was reading about buddism on global history test and I found it to be so interesting. To reach complete Englishman you just let go of all desires and follow the middle path in order to end suffering. I really find interesting because it doesn't go to extreme and it's all about moderation. The downside to this is letting go of all desires. We a humans have so many desires such as the desire to go to college or look good, or the desire to have a family. It would be nearly impossible to end your suffering because you will always desire something
it's definitely not just western society that's like this. just for one example, south korean culture is heavily focused on beauty and outward appearances. its one of the top 10 countries with the highest rate of cosmetic surgeries in the world.
In Asia too especially south korea i think it just our world always wanting improvements to our self which can be bad and good, but i see constantly people always trying to correct others on what to do and it annoys me the most my biggest pet peeve
Liberal 3rd wave feminism (like they’re preaching in the video) suggests that any choice a woman makes is empowering, because she made it, for herself. They made the choice to change their body, so therefore it is a “feminist act”. Obviously this whole premise is flawed, but that’s a different can of worms.
Bruh. I was thinking the same thing. I mean I was down for a moment then they brought up feminism and I started questioning everything I know about it. Like what???
Nicole Vincent omg I was dying when I saw this because the ginger girl (Zoe) is one of my brothers good friend and has been to my house multiple times and now she is a model and is going to college in Paris
People are getting mad and saying things like “I lost brain cells while watching this” and judging them but how bout instead of bringing down these young girls we take a look at the environmental and social pressures that makes them feel the need to do this.
Global Elite there’s no point in arguing with people who have already made up their mind but here I go. It’s possible to want to change for yourself. It’s bold and dangerous to generalize an entire group of people because that’s what you personally think. People can have different reasons for doing thing. Hope I didn’t offend you or anything :)
Global Elite I got a nose job when I was 16 and no, it really isn’t that deep. I didn’t want to be worshipped, and fixing my nose wasn’t going to magically make me a Instagram model all of a sudden. What I wanted: to be comfortable taking profile pictures and to have a pretty nose. THAT’S IT. Where’s the emptiness at tho? My parents were ok with it and they payed for my surgery.. where’s the problem at?
I feel like some of these girls didn't do it only for themselves because a lot of the times they would mention how other people made fun of them when they were young. *That* was what made them insecure in the first place, the fact that other people make them feel bad. I bet if other people didn't do anything to make them feel bad they wouldn't have noticed it. They also mentioned their constant use of social media and that's also influencing. When you see that many 'perfect' people, you feel like you should be like that.. when in fact, social media only glorifies the fake versions of people. People need to learn that it's okay that some parts of you aren't as 'normal' as people say they're supposed to be. That's what makes you yourself.
I think it's fine for people to get plastic surgery, but what I don't appreciate is how we lie to ourselves by saying that we did it to feel better about ourselves not for other people. Yes... because we base our opinions of ourselves on how other people view us physically. That girl with the red hair, literally said beforehand that she got her surgery because she didn't want people to think she'd gained weight and lost it (even though evidently that's not always the cause of stretch marks), and then at the end she says that oh she did it to empower herself and feel better. Sure... because you care how people view you. If you were fine with your natural appearance, you wouldn't have gotten surgery to change it to better fit society's beauty ideals. Let's just be real.
actually i dont agree w/ u cuz i'm that kinda girl that doesnt give a shit about what people say i would literally make a fool of myself and dont care but the thing is i hate my nose's shape and i dont need people's opinions or perceptions to know that it doesnt fit my heart shaped face, i'm 16 and i want my nose to be fixed in the most natural looking way but im not doing it for anyone i dont feel comfortable with it and thats the only reason behind it.
I totally agree with you, Tina. People keep saying that they are just getting these surgery done to feel better about themselves but who told/influenced them in the first place that their body or face isn't good enough for the standard set by this society which in turn made them hate it so much to a point to change it surgically? I'm just so tired of people claiming to do all these things to feel better about themselves when in reality they were all abiding by the beauty standards of the society without even realizing it. I have nothing against people who got work done but please stop lying to yourself.
Venessa .C if you feel that it's society pushing you towards a certain direction then that's you. Speaking for everybody else is just pure arrogance. You don't know what's in other peoples minds so don't say that they are lying to themselves. Humans are instinctually drawn to beauty, symmetry, perfection, etc. It's just how we are. So don't keep blaming fucking society for every little thing. If a person says they're doin it for them then just give them the benefit of the doubt. Stop being an asshole like you know what's in their minds
+I H define beauty then? isnt it shaped by what the media or what other ppl think as it is? look at hw our perception of beauty has evolved over the years? lying or not, they are disillusioned that they are doing it for themselves to look better when the fact is u define "look better" based on the definition of beauty itself. meh, you guys r entitled to your opinion just as i am entitled to mine
No girl at that age feels beautiful all the time. You should never change yourself. You’ll grow into your “flaws” eventually and learn to love yourself. I feel like that’s still a pretty young age to make a decision like that because you’re trying to find yourself.
But the bad thing is that it's not just the kids making the decision to undergo these procedures, but the parents are signing off as well. That's the truly sickening part of this whole thing, how the parents are enabling their kids to instead of growing into your body and loving yourself for who you really are to just using cosmetic surgery as a scapegoat and give you a false sense of confidence.
femaleskater1185 That's totally stupid, If I was a parent and my child was obsessed with some part of its body, I would definitely pay for a surgical procedure if they feel better with themselves that way. Complexes don't go easily, they will always be complexes, you will never accept the failures you have, so why not pay to feel happier?? When they grow up, their complexes with their bodies will grow, and they will end paying for changes of their body without consulting their parents, because it is what they've always wanted.
I don't usually comment on videos but can we all just agree that exercise and cosmetic surgery are not equatable to one another? A. Yes, exercise can improve physical appearance, granted. B. It also maintains healthy hormone levels, raises your metabolism, provides you with a higher level of vitality, boosts your immune system, aids healthy functioning of the digestive system and all major organs, reduces chances of cancer and heart disease and reduces the effects of mental illness. I could stay going, but you get the picture. I am not anti-cosmetic surgery and I respect the personal reasons of all the women who shared their stories, but; context people- you can't compare nipple enhancement to exercise. Let's keep it real.
In the same exact breath the one girl then said they were doing it for people noticing. And the one girl is obsessed with posting selfies of their new look. So, yeah it's of course influenced by what other people think. But of course, no, this isn't all Gen Z kids
Mew Mew I don’t know where they were disrespectful, but ok. And I don’t see how making a decision to make a small change to make yourself feel better makes you sad, lonely, or unhappy. You don’t know their internal lives, so let’s all stop judging people for making completely legal, personal decisions.
When young kids have too much money... and yes, I get the insecurity thing as well, but we've all been there? I wanted to (and still do) change certain parts of myself but can't because I don't have the money.
Beck Styles that's not the point. point is that if you have a negative picture about your appreance, plastic surgery is never a way to go. it tells about bad self confidence and insecurity. therapy is a good way to get help for it.
Kaya Same here, but these girls have been taught by society that being pefect is normal. Not their fault, but society's, which is what makes it so hard to tell someone to just "love themselves." But yeah, if you tell your kid from the beginning to be themselves and not conform to society's standards then yes, good chance they won't want to get plastic surgery.
Kaya you will be a good mom, but the reason why a lot of kids these days are so insecure is because their parents are insecure about themselves. They hear their parents talking about it than the kids are like ‘oh yeah I’m gonna say I’m too fat, or my nose to too big because my mom says so.’
IT TAKES PRACTICE TO LOVE YOURSELF IT TAKES PRACTICE TO LOVE YOURSELF IT TAKES PRACTICE TO LOVE YOURSELF YOU CAN LOVE YOUR SELF ITS POSSIBLE TO LOVE YOUR SELF
I'm glad that these women found peace with their appearances in whatever way they chose, but just to clarify: Plastic surgery is not, never has been, and never will be a "feminist act." No one needs to feel ashamed for getting work done, but let's not lie to ourselves.
Feminism means “the doctrine advocating social, political, and all other rights of women equal to those of men.” WTF has getting plastic surgery got to do with equality???
Plastic surgery still benefits your mind. Think about it: I have no boobs, zero, nada. I would LOVE to just have something to grab into sometimes, and it’s something I would do for me, not for other people cause honestly, Idfc! I would be in a better place if I was accepting my body. And, unfortunately, exercise doesn’t get me boobs! I agree with you, you can’t compare the two things, but they do have something in common: mind health. And of course I’m not saying ‘’alright just change all your appearance and don’t look the same and start looking like a plastic surgery’s addicted!’’, I’m talking about simple changes that will change ur view of ur self.
honestly its all about accepting yourself and loving yourself this new world is all about looks and i think if iy really bothers you then change it but give a shot at accepting and loving yourself first because in the end looks dont matter
V F Shouldn't you learn to love yourself despite your imperfections that are non changeable in a good way? Isn't it bad that changing hiw you look is how you would start accepting yourself? It's like being in a relationship with someone who only likes you because of your looks. It may make you feel good but is it a healthy way of feeling good?
munuhe Rose you do know that it's not about generations right? people back in the day posed for hours for a painting of themselves and placed it on the *sitting room wall.* narcissism has been around for forever
You do know that wasn't remotely normal for the great majority of people throughout history? Hell, "middle class" used to mean a minority composed of merchants, much less the tiny upper class.
Caity Wylie if they're really bad, they are still very noticeable even if they are white. Also, that's only somewhat helpful for those with lighter skin. White stretch marks on darker skin is not a good look, that's just the way it is.
Laser treatments...? Most teenagers get stretch marks during puberty, in must more noticeable places than the butt (love handles, thighs, stomach...). What kind of parents... And don't even talk to me about the nipples one. It's obvious when they talk about social media they and their models how superficial their thinking is. Sad
I don't want to judge but this video honestly makes me kind of angry. I mean, they're saying that it's a feminist act, something that gives them confidence, but then one of the girls says that she got her stretch marks removed because she was worried that people would notice that she's not as skinny as she used to be? news flash, lots of people have them, it means you're real and not fake like Kylie (whom is probably not a good role model seeing as she got famous for dating a 25 year old when she was 17 ((yes I know that she has her own makeup line and is doing things with her fame but let's be honest, that's how she started))) I don't think that these girls should be shamed for getting work done here and there, but don't say that you're doing it for you because that's clearly not the situation. they should be happy with themselves, the before pictures were absolutely gorgeous but that's their decision to make.
The girl that had a procedure done to remove stretch marks contradicted herself. At first saying she didn’t want ppl noticing and saying things and then later went on to say that those types of procedures are not done for others but rather herself.
Totally agree, these girls dont really have a straight view of feminism, its whatever they believe thats been thrown and mixed together to create something that doesnt mkes sense anymore. I don't believe in modern feminism but I don't like hearing people talk about something that they cant establish somewhat correctly
Exactly my question..my family is not poor but because all of them are professors and religious they won't spoil me in this BAD way. I luv them i swear to God lol
A nna Not directly but thats the deeper meaning hiding behind "you should be able to do what you want with your body" in regards to plastic surgery, which shouldn't be ok for teens at all.
Sloths Cry Too The plastic surgery industry are not the ones who convince girls they don't look good enough, it's bullies and trolls who feed off making people feel bad about themselves.
actually it's pretty common... some girls have inverted nipples and feel the need to "fix them", which I think is stupid because I'm pretty sure that in the moment, when you're in bed with someone, unless they're a complete dick, they wouldn't care if it was made out of glitter. then again, if it's your body, it's your choice, and we don't all do surgery for the same reasons
0:56 "It was for myself but it was more for people noticing" 2:49 "I did it for myself... people think when you get a cosmetic procedure you do it to impress other people"
“My life before the surgery” - you mean when you went to kindergarten and grade school? 😅 honestly their parents are irresponsible. Patience is a virtue
I feel like it kinda is like some people when they look weight look a lot different same with plastic surgery your still just changing the way you look
I get the nose thing, but getting ur nipple injections so u don't need to wear a bra, honestly that 3rd girl was stupid to get upset over that, everyone has nipples well done 👏👏👏
Kristy Nguyen Getting your nipples injected so people can see them through your shirt is just useless. Peoples reasons are normally quite complex and some people get teased but who is going tease you for not having protruding nipples at that age???
Idk but everyones nipples look different, not everyone is lucky yo have nipples that just stay nice and hidden when youre not wearing a bra. Sometimes nipples have different shapes, like puffy nipples, that will make them a lot more prominent than other people's nipples, trust me, if you had it you would understand.
OMG that nipple surgery is really not something you need to be getting so young it's not that damn serious for people to see your nipples threw your shirt just stfu I'm tired of people like this so you basically wanted people to notice your nipples
How will these hypersensitive empowered people live when they hit 70 and their skin wrinkles and sags. Correlating empowerment and this nonsense is just a way to increase the stigma around normal imperfections.
Because it’s about living and being happy with things while you can. Everyone wants to change something about themselves, and since we only live once, why not?
What I have never gotten the concept of is when people say they do it to make them feel more confident in themselves and that they don't do it for anyone else. If you think about it, it doesn't make any sense. These girls have grown into the concept of how their noses are "too big" or their lips are "too small" because of society. Even though they may not be directly getting surgery done for a specific person, they're doing it because they were taught to see that it's not beautiful the way it originally is through their eyes. There would be no need for confidence if it wasn't because of pressure by other people. We would see all things on ourselves as beautiful if it weren't for societal "norms". Take this for example: If you were the only human to ever exist and you had, say, a large nose, or small butt, etc, you wouldn't see those as "ugly" because there'd be no one around to tell you or no one around for you to see that have a "better" version of it. So, if you think about it, the fact that people "do things for themselves" is complete shit. I feel sorry for girls who find flaws in themselves. To me there's nothing more beautiful than accepting who you naturally are. When you do that, that is where you truly do things for yourself and not for other people, even when you don't realize it.
i respect your opinion, but not once has anyone ever told me that my jaw was lopsided and yet I'm still insecure about it. i love my personality, and i can accept how i look but i know for a fact that i'd feel more confident in my appearance if my jaw was even. I accept myself whole heartedly, and my jaw isn't so much of a problem as it is an annoyance- it'd be nice to look in the mirror and not see the distortion in my face even if no one else notices. By your logic people don't love themselves if they get tattoos, piercings, wear make-up or even shave because that is a form of physical change.
adulhe !! EXACTLY no one's ever told me anything negative about my nose or about my appearance society never made me feel bad about how I looked. I just don't like it and I want to fix it
adulhe !! But you see it in the media and the media sells you an image of a "perfect woman". You see these perfect people on Instagram and on TV shows. If you don't see yourself represented, it makes you feel ugly (for example there are not many black people in movies and therefore black girls could think that they are ugly)
adulhe !! And also... You are forced to shave your legs because of society. Don't tell me that you woke up one day and decided to shave your legs. It was not your decision. Your decision was to give what the society wants.
The girl with the stretch marks said they were red/purple that is when they first appear she should've waited couple weeks cause thats when they turn the color of the skin and are barely noticeable and i have them and think they are pretty,my boyfriend tells me they look cute
nameless h I mean stretch marks are a such a minor thing. Why cant we teach women to just accept their natural bodies and not throw a shit ton of money on stupid plastic surgeries rather than make this look like it’s empowering.
I find it very hypocritical when they say that plastic surgery is only for themselves... I mean, look at them : they take selfies all the time and spend a lot of time on social media. What a narcissistic society...
But it's so lame that the first thing she mentions is the fact that she can take tons of selfies now. How great, I almost envy her! - not. Next it's gonna be something else for her next Bday. These girls will never be fully satisfied with themselves. And that's sad.
I agree with you. I am not against plastic surgery, I think it is nice that we now have the technology for it. I mean, if you have an accident that ruined your nose for instance, if you have the money you can get surgery done for it. But these young girls! They do it because they feel insecure, why? Because of the so called "idols" from social media. Yes it is taking control of your body.... only to bow down to the fucked up society.
Alittlebitcrazy Their plastic surgery has nothing to do with their social media use. It's normal for their generation even the teens that haven't done it are still online. It's a new era, don't forget that old people used to judge jazz, people need to learn that new things will come and people just don't like dwelling on the past
Nahhh, she was insecure about it from a young age and now by saying she take a selfie from angle is saying that she feels pretty, she can actually take a selfie now. It’s an example that her self-esteem has boosted.
Love how we pick and choose the parts of the video we want to twist the meaning then judge what's going on in her life and assume her parents/friends are awful.
+MoreOTPsOnThisListThanChinsOnYourNeck +A / That's not how any of this works. She's going to find another imperfection about herself, because plastic surgery is NOT fixing insecurities. It just covers them. Those girls need to learn how to really love themselves first.
MoreOTPsOnThisListThanChinsOnYourNeck imagine her kids they will come out with her real imperffections . Thats what bothers me . you cant hide reality .plus she acts like a bitch now that her nose is fixed.
*'I didn't do it for other people, I did it for myself'* - no, you didn't do it for yourself, you're just brainwashed into thinking that's why you did it. this isn't what a women 'taking control of her body' looks like, lmao... it's what being brainwashed by the media, the cosmetic companies, the whole consumer/producer system looks like. my generation claims to be so 'real, honest, & authentic' - but they're so blinded by the media & trends & their own faces and happiness, yet they don't even realize it. which is kinda sad honestly.
why would they ever get surgery 'for themselves'? plastic surgeron's have never made more money than they have been in the last five years. the media basically tells people that they get plastic surgery ''for themselves" because it's easier to tell yourself you're changing the facial structure your ancestors had for generations just for yourself. people are scared of being insecure these days, but being insecure will help you grow - if you're insecure about your nose (or whatever), you don't need to change it 'for yourself' - especially when you're sixteen, you should work on accepting yourself regardless of what society says, and overcoming your insecurities to realize that there's more meaning to life - not taking the easy way out and changing it to make yourself feel better, and fit in.
I would get plastic surgery for me. no one has ever told me my lips are small or my nose is ugly, I actually get compliments for them but I still want to change it :) any problem? if you wouldn't it's probably because you have a lot of issues and scared of being criticized
" plastic surgery is a feminist act " honey, men get plastic surgery done too. just because it's more common for women to get it done doesn't mean its associated with women ..
zoe was like "I did for other people so they wouldn't look at my body and think its weird", then a couple clips later "I feel empowered because I did it for myself."..
I feel like we can’t speak or judge unless we have been in that mind set. Honestly I grew up without wearing makeup because genetically I have really good skin and my parents were against it especially since I was still in school. The concept of having a bare face just stuck with me and I feel comfortable with and without makeup. Then there’s girls who CANNOT go out in public without makeup. I cannot relate. Then there’s me who’s self conscious of my legs. Girls who grew up wearing shorts and never gave a second thought probably cannot relate. Even tho I have grown to accept myself for who I am, others haven’t and it’s not our place to say “wtf” because everyone has insecurities and some are even so severe that this is the only way “out”.
Kim H I really want to agree with you, but I struggle to accept the notion that these very young women made permanent changes to their bodies. I grew up being called chicken because my nose is really big and has a weird bump. I used to think plastic surgery would fix it, and surprisingly, my parents were open to the idea because the bullying got so bad. One day, I realized that my nose, definitely different, helped define me on the outside. I started to learn to love myself for who I am, and not what society wants me to look like. Sometimes I still have that nagging whisper about my nose in my head, but as far as I’m concerned, my nose is actually fine. I also just learned it is this way because I am German and Native American!
Yo, I completely understand. I used to feel self conscious about a lot of things with myself but as I grew older I gained more self acceptance. Now that I'm 16 I can say that I truly love and accept the way I am, people have told me that it's amazing how confident I am. I don't wear makeup either because I have naturally good skin too. I also wear the clothes that appeal to me, before I used to be scared because of my scoliosis but now I don't really care anymore, as long as it makes me happy. I feel like more people should have that mindset to feel comfortable in their own skin.
I’ve always had insecurities about practically everything on my body, that’s the way the teenage mind works, we are unsure and insecure so why would any sane psychiatrist or doctor approve these young girls for surgery?! I understand if you’re 30 and you have never grown into your nose or ears but stretch marks and nipples? I could give less of a crap about my stretchmarks that is just part of being a woman. What parent is okay with paying thousands of dollars for their child instead of teaching them to LOVE YOU
That's actually a very good point you brought up - bullying. I guess it's one of the main reasons why people opt for cosmetic surgeries. It's amazing how you manage to overcome your insecurity, it would be great if everyone was like you but I'm afraid reality is a little different and the overwhelming majority simply cannot come to terms with being ugly as hell.
she said she had stretchmarks it's her body so you don't care if she wanted to have plastic surgery. She probably wanted to wear shorts or bikinis and din't want people to notice her stretch marks.
This is absolutely tragic to watch. It’s crazy how Hollywood and social media is shaping this generation. We are being brainwashed to think “confidence” and “beauty” is all based on outer attributes instead of inner. When will we open our eyes😔
This makes me really sad. We shouldnt even think twice about changing our feautures. I understand that it's because of society pushing this idea of perfection upon us, making people feel ashamed or out of place all based on something so shallow as looks. Not to mention that now due to the extra addition of social media, it's that much harder to not compare yourself to others, especially impressionable teen girls. We should be striving to be smart, good people, not just what society considers "physically attractive" ones.
I don’t really think it’s a feminist act in a way bc I feel like when we don’t like something about us , it is bc we are told that there is a beautiful way to look and that there is an ugly way to look so we think that once we have a certain nose or body we think we have to fix it just because of what society has imposed us. Just because we believe that beauty is an certain way to look. In my opinion society created insecurities, insecurities do not come from the way we look. And I think that if there wasn’t only one certain type of way to look that was represented we wouldn’t feel like we have to change something about us.
Shiaowei Zurlo mine is huge too and I have a giant lump on it I hate it so much and last yr I would come home and cry everyday because I am just so ugly and I really want to change my nose and other things too bc I feel like it would make me happy and people would stop constantly judging and hating on me but I’m only 15 but to be honest if the world was different...like people didn’t care about my nose and it was just considered normal and everyone treated me as though I had a normal nose...I wouldn’t even care about changing it..by the do. And I hate it. And I think about it everyday. And constantly look in mirrors and tell myself how ugly I am. (I even fell into a long depression last year too) and ik im complaining a lot and this is such a first world problem. But i feel like if I don’t change it will ruin the way others see me for the rest of my life and I’ll stay unhappy
sophie arlot I really do hope other people don’t care about your nose that much. When I was 15 I also thought that people were constantly obsessed with beauty but that’s not really the case.
Soooo. You got surgery cause you were picked on because of your looks. But it's all about how you view yourself? I think these girls AND HARPERS BAZAAR need to listen to themselves and what kinds of messages they are, and aren't, sending out. AKA oxymoronic, un-thought-through ad-like videos about underage girls going under the knife because, as they say, Kylie Jenner says it's ok. Take some responsibility, grown up publication. Not just ad money.
Can we stop blaming these girls for making "awful decisions" and "ruining themselves" and maybe focus on the fact that society has made them feel worthless and insecure enough to feel the NEED to get surgery to change their appearance? These girls feel good about themselves now, and is it really their fault if they've been brought up in an environment telling them they have to be perfect to be normal? Stop blaming the people, and start blaming the society... then go out and change it.
"Building yourself up, building character." You build character by changing something superficial about yourself? Building character would be closer to accepting what you look like, and finding strength to be confident with what you have. And, getting plastic surgery and working out are two different things. The amount of motivation and dedication you'd have to put into exercising to change your body and make it stronger is obviously viewed as positive, as opposed to having someone do a procedure on you.
People: *Judges people for their unconventionally unattractive natural looks* Also people: *Judges people for fixing those looks* Do whatever you want y’all, people will talk shit REGARDLESS!!
+Tatum Thompson : 'Feminism is accepting all women's choices… you have to…’ Feminism doesn't mean passively accept one’s decision regardless of your opinion- that just involves ignoring moral reasoning. Feminism is about- apparently - the equality of the sexes (or in this case, un-learning society's expectations on women). There is nothing feminist with plastic surgery- I'd say it's a vain act, lacking in self confidence.
Feminism is about equality of choice and opportunity and NOT outcome. Even if literal equality between men and women were possible, to give 'equality' the highest priority would involve forcing women to make decisions that render them equal to men. I really hope I don't have to explain the counterproductivity in that. You have to understand that there will always be shallow women, vapid women, insecure women, and media-obsessed women, with or without feminism, and these women are just as entitled to achieve self-fulfillment through the means they choose as anyone else is. That being said, wanting to attract the opposite sex is about as natural as breathing, and the measures we go to to attain physical beauty in the Western world are by no means extreme (even tame) in comparison to many other cultures. But when are men ever criticized for going to great lengths to impress women? The male endeavour to crack the mystery of 'what women want' has become a trope by now, yet I have never heard ONE person criticize a man as self-defeating for doing his best to attract women. It is truly amazing the things that people say and do in the name of 'feminism'........
Mistah Mew there are no more first wave feminists, those feminists gave us the right to vote, if first wave feminism was still a thing then they'd be helping the women in places like saudi Arabia not complaining about man spreading or beauty standards.
Mary GG it is an easy way out because you aren’t putting in the work to love yourself and push past these mentally ill thoughts that you’re not good enough as you are. Instead, you are confirming to this ideology that you have to look a certain way because like it or not you have in fact been influenced by others on your decisions and you view of yourself.
Erin Rundle yeah but we are all influenced by society in some way or another. It’s almost impossible to not adhere to this ideology because not only is it always reinforced within the society but it’s also within our genes. Have you any personal experience with this and how conventionally attractive are you, because it’s not that easy to understand these women if you haven’t been in their place.
Mary GG I agree 110%! I struggle with anxiety and depression directly linked to my self esteem and my appearance, I don’t feel attractive whatsoever but because of the way I am personally, I make my mission to love myself because I hate when people think they can influence me or make me feel inferior to them, because my nose isn’t the same as Kim Kardashian’s, doesn’t mean I am not beautiful (even if I don’t feel that way). Working hard to love yourself and push this ideology out of your head will make you feel much more fulfilled rather than continuously changing yourself because you will always find something wrong or that needs fixing unfortunately. I have come along way with this ideology and much nicer to other as well, I genuinely have nothing bad to say about any person appearance and think that everyone is beautiful, I wish everyone would feel this way and realize that this isn’t empowering, it’s degrading and succumbing to the idea that people’s worth is put in their appearance when it’s not. But as my idea with abortion, it’s your body and although I disagree, you can do what you want because my opinion and belief won’t change others!
Erin Rundle I’m glad that you found a positive way out of this! Unfortunately I have not and what is done is done - I don’t regret it! I feel amazing each day now so I don’t see why that’s wrong because now I love myself. I’m glad that you’re very open about this so keep doing you ❤️
"Making yourself feel better?" Then why do you change yourself depending on a certain beauty standard?!?!?!? I love my big bumpy nose. Around the age of 16 I was still very insecure about it, as I got older I accepted it and now love my nose. Eventhough I still get called names like Nosebear or Jew (Yes that's racist and I'm not a Jew and there's nothing wrong with being a Jew). I don't care about those things all I want is to feel good in my OWN skin.
Honestly my parent s said I can get mine removed unless you have them u would understand how she was feeling before she got them done
Actually you stop growing at 14
Allie A Mhh no it depends on people . Everyone is different ! Some at 14 some at 21 years old
@adrianna boys and girls are different and it actually depends on age and puberty that stuff kinda yeah idk
Bc plastic surgery isn't for yourself. And the people who do it know that. Just a bullshit excuse
goal pop took the words out of my mouth
Aaria Holton Exactly ..
Adela Deen Thank you someone agrees
"In a society the profits from self doubt, loving yourself is a rebellious act."
TRUE. That hit me.
Corporations benefit from the self consciousness of young women!

Oh the irony the irony
How did you do italic?
@@moonsugar8938 use _ (underscore) at the beginning and end of ur sentence
Yeaaa I noticed that
yeah i caught this one too
Did she just compare plastic surgery to working out.... drastic difference darling
Zainab Mroue ~ Hinata
don't be mean >:P(
There is a big difference
Not to me but I see where you're coming from
JustDontAskIDK Than I guess you don’t understand facts. Now one is good for your physical health and the other is not? I’ll let you guess which one it is. It’s kinda a huge difference between the two things.
The nipple thing is ridiculous and unnecessary but the girls
Who got small things done to their nose or for stretch marks I don’t find bad.
If it makes them more confident then it shouldn’t be frowned upon,
its not ridiculous
Jasmine Jones the other girls were body conscious their whole lives and that girl just got hers done to be able to wear the same shirts as some other girls. unnecessary and ridiculous.
I think they should have just learned to love themselves like everyone else. Not everyone has the money to fix stuff about them
Its 2018
memelord hp maybe maybe maybe
"Kylie Jenner got lip injections. She got them done at a young age, so why can't I?" This generation makes me sad.
Devi Patel I thought the exact same thing
Same
just be yourself like i don t understand why you want to be just like someone else ?
Devi Patel same
Because we hate ourselves lmao
She got her lips done... but it still looked like that?
devs lips where???
devs that's what I'm saying SIS
Jungkook Stan ? I ASKED MYSELF THAT
she probably had temporary fillers
Lmao what lips
Who the hell payed for it like....my parents won’t even give me $5.
Preach
I would love to baby and that's so wrong that your parents won't give you $5. You deserve a lot more than that in your life now ok
My parents won’t give me money so I got a job. Now I have money
I think too deserve something is to work for it
They pay for it when they unanimously think that you look fucked up enough in order to get surgery lmao. Trust me I've been there
They need psychologists before plastic surgery. Not saying they are crazy, but if the negative perception of self image does not change, the risk of being addicted to plastic surgeries as a coping behaviour could lead to devastating results.
i agree
Preech
I was just thinking that. The fact that they began thinking of changing themselves just because others couldn't accept them doesn't mean they should give in and change. Idk
I so agree - they are far too young, need to wait till they're fully grown and developed. what are their parents thinking allowing this? far too much importance attached to how you look in pics on social media, if they're starting this now where on earth will it end?
The risk of getting addicted is low low low.
"Kylie had plastic surgery at a young age, why cant i?"
Good job.
Dani E. Ikr 10/10 for her
I was gonna say the same
Oh no
2:34 Kylie Jenner is such a big influence on girls and this just proofs it..
Andreea Corneschi one girl proves everything...
Jim_Pin
Yes. Kylie isn’t responsible for this, and I agree with you about it’s wrong to say that she is responsible for this. But what I’m saying is that she’s being used as an *excuse* .
yes i love her sm 😍
Don’t blame kylie all these girls choose to do it not cuz kylie did it
The dark skinned girl is beautiful
Jooheons dimple yesss and I’m in love with ur pfp
They’re all beautiful tbh
they’re all beautiful....just because her skin color is black does not automatically make her beautiful. y’all say you don’t see color and then do this shit. no reason to specify one girl over the others cause of her skin color
Olivia Jules troll?
Olivia Jules I wasn't trying to be racist or rude I just did not remember their names by the end of the video. If you scroll through the comments no one is calling them by their names but referring to them as "redhead" whitegirl" ....calm down. Sorry I find HER BEAUTIFUL.
Once I heard Kylie Jenner I died a little bit inside. She is nothing close to a role model
Apisha Vijay How is she a role model in the first place anyways?? 😂
who are you to decide that?
She shouldn't be role model because she got everything done! What is so special about her! She is sending the wrong message to kids and we don't want teenagers to look up to a plastic bag!
I don't really like plastic surgery (only if necessary) because if you are insecure about something embrace it! Learn how to love you body for fucks sake!
Apisha Vijay she just said “Kyle Jenner got lip injections, so why can’t I?” She never said anything about her being her role model
Me too
Wow just by the backgrounds of the pictures you can tell that some these girls are rich.
Naega Hosh im a carat tooo!! ✨💎
Naega Hosh well how could they pay
Why can't these teens just wait when they're older?
*THEIR BODY IS STILL PROCESSING*
I 100% understand what your talking about and I’m not trying to argue but getting plastic surgery at a younger age is better because instead getting it when your older it basically freezes the young look while you still have it.
If I had the money I would totally get it in the next couple years, I’m in my younger teenage years and I have a lot in insecurities about my lips and nose.
valorine take an advice from an adult 24yrs old girl: don't. You're gonna look like a stupid doll and regret it, you most likely don't need it. Your insecurities are normal at your age, stay away from toxic social medias that's not real. Cultivate your personality instead.
cause they can do what they want. why would u want them to be insecure and depressed for a few more years when they can do it now? selfish.
Im a young teen but how you look like now-is kind of how your going to look like later
Im thinking about plastic surgery cause im not that pretty
Its okay ?
i mean it just depends? i hate how i look! plastic surgery might help~
I agree it’s just bad to do it when your young because your body changes and the surgery can end up looking worse
Fr
Diamond Not at an age ducking younger than 18 😂 You’re still too young to know what you want
Diamond 👏🏻
I remember people would call me a witch cuz of my nose
awwww babe ur perfect don't listen to people like that

Yes because NOONE got plastic surgery before social media
That Thing You See At The Corner Of Your Eye he meant this girls specificaly
That Thing You See At The Corner Of Your Eye
Youre missing the fucking point
Gavin McInnes yes they would have cuz they want to make THEMSELVES feel better. They would have still not liked the way they looked without social
Camisha Mckoy not true
I absolutely hate how the first girl said if theres something you dont like about yourself why not fix it.
Why not just grow to love yourself, theyre still kids they've hardly lived any life in the real world where no one cares what you look like if you want to get a boyfriend find soemone who love you for you not show off on social medias
Sorry i got kind of off hand then all im trying to say is dont change anything when youre young learn to love yourself and when your older and youre still not satisfied maybe consider it
generally i agree with what you have said. i mean sometimes you even wonder if these girl really get all these procedures done bc of themselves or rather bc they were bullied or just want to follow the current trend.
but at the same time, i think that you only live once and if you have the money why not just do it? instead of really spending years hating the way you look
i agree!! i also hated my nose when i was a preteen and then my boobs when i was a teen, and now as an adult i’ve grown to love both these traits because i’ve stuck with myself. easier said than done but i wouldn’t change myself anymore, i’m good enough as it is 💜
SidneyJ04 • that’s what aggravated me, “why not fix it,” well a lot of people that want cosmetic procedures done they have to front the bill themselves. These young girls have their parents paying for their nose jobs, boob jobs, etc.
You can't just grow to love yourself naturally these days without going under the knife.
well...sorry to inform you but since its her body your opinion doesn't really matter. it may be easy for you to love yourself but to others its harder. if she wants to change something about herself that will boost her self esteem and happiness, why shouldn't she invest in it. for example, if someone wants to change the color of their hair would you try to stop them because its not her original hair color?
"I use social media everyday". That's probably why you're insecure.
darkestskie True! I think I read about a study where people reported to be most dissatisfied with themselves/their lives (in regards to social media) after being on instagram and Snapchat, UA-cam was on the list but wasn't reported to be half as bad as the first two! It's interesting how social media effects us!
darkestskie bitch i still hated myself before i got instagram lol
ItsMePhoebe yeah I just don't walk in public and see extremely attractive people, that's probably why. Editing pictures is also a thing on insta :/
Haha true, didnt claim that was the only reason for being unhappy/dissatisfied in life lol ^^ I'm not trying to villainize social media either just thought its an interesting study since we are bombarded with "perfection"/ads in a whole new aspect than before, it reminds me a bit of the film "The Joneses" :P
I know that I personally do feel much worse about myself/my life when I see people on social media "living the life", but of course it all depends on what ones does on those platforms!
Andrea Lang yes it's not celebs its not video games and it's not the internet its parents being shit parents.
None of them look crazy or extremely different then before but as long as their happy
Bailey Joan you can still love yourself even if you want to change things. Plus, after surgery someone may love them self even more after.
Natalie Ann where in any part of my comment was I stating that they wouldn’t? I simply was stating that when I clicked this I expected more of a change and as long as they’re happier with their change it’s good for them.
Natalie Ann hell I have a lot of things I’d love to change but that simply wasn’t the point of my comment. Thank you though :)
I left my reply on the wrong comment, sorry 😂
That's the point, their surgeries weren't to create a new image, it was to fix little things that they felt when gone would look better and make them feel a lot better.
I’m ngl that black girl is gorgeous 😍😍
But they all are I just thought she was very pretty
She's Muslim I just found that about her
@@daniasheath5754 and so what?
The black girl is really pretty
So are you.
So are the other ones
Cameron so what if Jenny called her black? She should be proud of her skin colour and should embrace it, people shouldn't stay quiet about it either. You got the message didn't you? And she was being really really polite, nothing wrong with what was said.
Moana why would I
Cameron I honestly feel black skin is so beautiful and its sad that they had to go through so much to be accepted because honestly it's so beautiful and hate how we humans are. We treat each other like shut and kill this world and provide nothing.
'She (Kylie Jenner) got them done at a young age so why can't I?' - behold the influencers of today
Edit: how did I get 3.8 k likes tf what
Valencia Gabanna kids of today 🤦♀️
right?! Celebrities get work done because it's part of their job to look good. These girls are bimbos
Yeah- Just because one person does something doesn't mean it's right and you should be allowed do it too smh.
Valencia Gabanna it's not Kylie's fault, it's her parents fault.
Surfs Up Iran and Persians are the same thing.
Well said!!!
well said +1.

No, it does not. Love of self and others is happiness.
Id love myself more if I had the money to make myself look like my dream self. lol But this was a sarcastic remark if you couldnt tell.
Daneya Jay agree!
absolutely to a certain conditions
I think that getting laser removals is fine because you dont feel confortable with yourself and you want to take them off
Ankit Saharan lol she's not the one getting plastic surgery here
Ema Paulauskaitė I have stretch marks and I'm 13. If I can get rid of them as quickly as possible I would do it
same sis
I'd like for western society to focus more on spiritual growth rather than materialism because for me at least that's what makes me the happiest. Still I'm glad if the girls are happy and confident now and dont create new obsessions about their body image. We're all going to get old and it's better if you realize that when you're young.
0Flow0 oh yes, you stole the words right out of my mouth!
0Flow0 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Fatima is literally gorgeous and not because of her nose, the whole look
Zoe looks like Bella Thorne
Ya
Bella Thorne doesn't wear a foundation shade that's not her color
Basically skinny red head girls look like Bella Thorne
collarmole she looks like Bella Thorne if Bella Thorne had a shower
No she dosnt
Also being a feminist means you advocate for men and women to be treated equally, how does this relate to plastic surgery?
Liberal 3rd wave feminism (like they’re preaching in the video) suggests that any choice a woman makes is empowering, because she made it, for herself. They made the choice to change their body, so therefore it is a “feminist act”.
Obviously this whole premise is flawed, but that’s a different can of worms.
True
Bruh. I was thinking the same thing. I mean I was down for a moment then they brought up feminism and I started questioning everything I know about it. Like what???
The ginger girl is so pretty
Nicole Vincent she should fix her foundation line though
Nicole Vincent omg I was dying when I saw this because the ginger girl (Zoe) is one of my brothers good friend and has been to my house multiple times and now she is a model and is going to college in Paris
Nicole Vincent whats her @?
whats her name?
they all are
People are getting mad and saying things like “I lost brain cells while watching this” and judging them but how bout instead of bringing down these young girls we take a look at the environmental and social pressures that makes them feel the need to do this.
Makenna Keone PREACH!!!
OH MYYYYYYY. THANK U SO MUCH.
We have and it's stupid they bent to it. Weight loss is not equal to a rhinoplasty
why are we normalizing this for young girls, this is disgusting
this.
Lucia Osuji agreed
That's what makes you yourself.
i have a big nose, ive never gotten made fun of, but i still want to get plastic surgery to build self confidence, not just for other people.
I know the shas absolutely nothing to do with the video but Fatima's hair is bomb!
Ramata Bah ain't even her hair
Ramata Bah You kinda look like her.
lloidelle darling Black girls can have long hair too so how do you know?
lloidelle darling it doesn't matter , its still cute .

Can we add Loren Gray to the list?
lissa bean did she get plastic surgery?
Dada Lapa probably she looks completely different now
meanhoe snatched my wig I think she might of got Botox in her lips because they are really big now
Dada Lapa yes or lip fillers. Even tho I gotta say she wears a lot of makeup too so it could also be the makeup. Idk
meanhoe snatched my wig yeah I think it’s mostly her makeup but I mean I guess it could be other stuff
What you said directly fits into what I said. But we're each allowed our opinions.
Their decisions are likely going to change. Then they’re going to need it more.
Doesn’t change the their inside. They’re probably not that happy.
LOL THANK YOU
This isn't a feminist act, especially if you're only doing it to stunt on the gram.
Sigh~ so sad for gen z kids.
But they clearly stated that that's not the reason they are doing that. Also grouping all Gen Z kids like that is unfair.
Problem is, they're not even women yet. Not to downplay teenage insecurities, but preferences and outlooks change, while surgery is forever 😐
In the same exact breath the one girl then said they were doing it for people noticing. And the one girl is obsessed with posting selfies of their new look. So, yeah it's of course influenced by what other people think. But of course, no, this isn't all Gen Z kids
As a gen z kid, I never want to end up like any of these disrespectful, unhappy, lonely, self-hating, social media obsessed people.
Faith Chong Same here :(
No we haven't all been there, I have never been insecure because I am free.
SpiderHair Because you're free?? Lol what?
Leah I'm free from being a sheep and following what people do and say, idc what "all the celebs" are doing, I'm free from pop culture.
water I know that, it's mostly the parents they haven't raised their kids right.
Spoiled children, if you are over 18 and want to change your body go ahead. But a parent paying for a growing child's plastic surgery is just wrong.
Katrina Pallant IKR
Katrina Pallant what if it's something that they need that affects their health or mental health and not purely for vanity?
Alexia Bates plastic surgery is never an option for mental issues. therapy is.
Yeah because therapy can change your appearance milo
Beck Styles that's not the point. point is that if you have a negative picture about your appreance, plastic surgery is never a way to go. it tells about bad self confidence and insecurity. therapy is a good way to get help for it.
I would teach my daughter to love herself
Kaya Same here, but these girls have been taught by society that being pefect is normal. Not their fault, but society's, which is what makes it so hard to tell someone to just "love themselves." But yeah, if you tell your kid from the beginning to be themselves and not conform to society's standards then yes, good chance they won't want to get plastic surgery.
ITS NOT EASY TO LOVE YOURSELF
ITS NOT EASY TO LOVE YOURSELF
ITS NOT EASY TO LOVE YOURSELF
ITS NOT EASY TO LOVE YOURSELF
A lot of women have been taught to love themselves but they still find flaws. Getting plastic surgery does not mean you do not love yourself.
Kaya you will be a good mom, but the reason why a lot of kids these days are so insecure is because their parents are insecure about themselves. They hear their parents talking about it than the kids are like ‘oh yeah I’m gonna say I’m too fat, or my nose to too big because my mom says so.’
IT TAKES PRACTICE TO LOVE YOURSELF

I'm glad that these women found peace with their appearances in whatever way they chose, but just to clarify: Plastic surgery is not, never has been, and never will be a "feminist act." No one needs to feel ashamed for getting work done, but let's not lie to ourselves.
Kanye East 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Feminism means “the doctrine advocating social, political, and all other rights of women equal to those of men.”
WTF has getting plastic surgery got to do with equality???
As if men don't get plastic surgery lol
I can't stand women who use the word "feminism" to justify everything they do, it's just crazy.
Honestly the only thing here that’s not feminist is women putting down other women for doing what makes them happy
I felt like I lost brain cells watching this ...
maria stark your an ass to some of us it’s relatable
maria stark same
I agree with you, although not everyone else will, I don't feel like most of these girls had the right midset
Oh Merde +
maria stark why? Because people are happy and they changed their body to feel better about themselves
How can you compare cosmetic procedures to exercise? Atleast exercise actually benefits your body and mind in the long run.
Plastic surgeries make you beaitufll and excersice make you healthy!
U cant exercise ur nose dumbass??
V F
Shouldn't you learn to love yourself despite your imperfections that are non changeable in a good way? Isn't it bad that changing hiw you look is how you would start accepting yourself? It's like being in a relationship with someone who only likes you because of your looks. It may make you feel good but is it a healthy way of feeling good?
This is the reason why I permanently deleted my social medias. And I've never been happier.
we are such self conceited generation. Nothing to do with feeling good about oneself. COMPARISON IS THE THIEF OF ALL JOY!!!!!
Self-image has way too much to do with image now. Self-awareness is pretty much marketing BS.
You know
munuhe Rose you do know that it's not about generations right? people back in the day posed for hours for a painting of themselves and placed it on the *sitting room wall.* narcissism has been around for forever
She compared herself to Kylie Jenner was dumbfounded. Even Kylie doesn't look like Kylie
You do know that wasn't remotely normal for the great majority of people throughout history? Hell, "middle class" used to mean a minority composed of merchants, much less the tiny upper class.
Oh goody Kylie Jenner is kids' role model.
Peeta Griffin she's not there fucking role model they didn't even go extreme like Kylie sit tf down and stop wining about the next generation
Peeta Griffin ikr, but it is reasonable for someone look up to someone a few older than them and successful
Briannaxo "If Kylie can do it, why can't I?" Yeah definitely not a role model. My bad. You can sit tf down but don't get too comfortable.
Peeta Griffin She's a walking bratz doll, like sure it's cute and fun but it's the kids who choose to look up to it, where's the parents/adult?
Visually maybe, but like thats it cuz she doesn't have much of a public personality so what is there to look up to.
Each to their own but stretch marks? Really? Almost every growing girl has stretch marks.
not really
Ashley Gibbs I have very bad stretch marks just from growing up, and trust me, very few people have them that bad. Don't judge what you don't know.
Ashley Gibbs plus she's still young, she can still get stretch marks at any time. I got some for te second time in college.
They start off pink/purple then fade to white over time. They're really not a big deal.
Caity Wylie if they're really bad, they are still very noticeable even if they are white. Also, that's only somewhat helpful for those with lighter skin. White stretch marks on darker skin is not a good look, that's just the way it is.
No wonder they have so many body image issues, look at how much social media they intake😳
True
Laser treatments...? Most teenagers get stretch marks during puberty, in must more noticeable places than the butt (love handles, thighs, stomach...).
What kind of parents...
And don't even talk to me about the nipples one.
It's obvious when they talk about social media they and their models how superficial their thinking is. Sad
K it's lowkey trigging me that their foundations are the wrong shade lmao
Anessia J aaah ikr
Me too
Anessia J HAHAHAAA SAME
Anessia J Ikr
Anessia J which one was it?
Elena is uncomfortable couldn’t agree more tbh
Omggg i love your profile pic🖤🖤 AND your comment ofc 👌🏼😂
The girl that had a procedure done to remove stretch marks contradicted herself. At first saying she didn’t want ppl noticing and saying things and then later went on to say that those types of procedures are not done for others but rather herself.
Elena I think stretch marks are cute and make your body so much more real you know. Love them and I’m glad I have so many
Totally agree, these girls dont really have a straight view of feminism, its whatever they believe thats been thrown and mixed together to create something that doesnt mkes sense anymore. I don't believe in modern feminism but I don't like hearing people talk about something that they cant establish somewhat correctly
My parents definitely would say no, where do they got the money tho? Or did their parents support them financially?
Exactly my question..my family is not poor but because all of them are professors and religious they won't spoil me in this BAD way. I luv them i swear to God lol
I’m not religious but they will never let me do this
Just convince 12 year olds that they are not good enough and plastic surgery is the answer, good job. Sick ass fucking industry.
Sloths Cry Too
thats not the message of that video
A nna Not directly but thats the deeper meaning hiding behind "you should be able to do what you want with your body" in regards to plastic surgery, which shouldn't be ok for teens at all.
Tara it's not our fault youre poor
lmfaooooo tara is so triggered
Sloths Cry Too The plastic surgery industry are not the ones who convince girls they don't look good enough, it's bullies and trolls who feed off making people feel bad about themselves.
"I got my nipples done"
LMAO
aesth she should have done her nose instead lowkey
holy shit what is wrong with you/: how do you feel good about yourself being so cruel
actually it's pretty common... some girls have inverted nipples and feel the need to "fix them", which I think is stupid because I'm pretty sure that in the moment, when you're in bed with someone, unless they're a complete dick, they wouldn't care if it was made out of glitter.
then again, if it's your body, it's your choice, and we don't all do surgery for the same reasons
Genevieve Ramirez
Just because you're insecure about your nose, doesn't mean she has to be.
Why the fuck is that funny?
0:56 "It was for myself but it was more for people noticing"
2:49 "I did it for myself... people think when you get a cosmetic procedure you do it to impress other people"
“My life before the surgery” - you mean when you went to kindergarten and grade school? 😅 honestly their parents are irresponsible. Patience is a virtue
the black girl procedure is obvious
she had a much natural and better nose before
Chalux ! Ak ikr it looks swelled
EXERCISE IS NOT THE SAME AS PLASTIC SURGERY. I lost brain cells and a few chromosomes watching this video
Sophia Song so true
I feel like it kinda is like some people when they look weight look a lot different same with plastic surgery your still just changing the way you look
I meant gained a chromosome lol either way you clearly don’t get the joke/reference I was making
Emma Brüggler wow you must be fun at parties
Emma Brüggler yeah no
I get the nose thing, but getting ur nipple injections so u don't need to wear a bra, honestly that 3rd girl was stupid to get upset over that, everyone has nipples well done 👏👏👏
but like.. they're flat now? or what did she do lol idgi
Kristy Nguyen Getting your nipples injected so people can see them through your shirt is just useless. Peoples reasons are normally quite complex and some people get teased but who is going tease you for not having protruding nipples at that age???
Supercat7 FACTS LIKE WTF IS THAT
Idk but everyones nipples look different, not everyone is lucky yo have nipples that just stay nice and hidden when youre not wearing a bra.

Typical mum move but...IF KYLIE JENNER JUMPED OF A BRIDGE WOULD YOU???

The first girl sounds like the rhinoplasty messed up her breathing...
Yeah she sounds funny
Marion C. I actually agree with you.
The girl with the stretch marks said they were red/purple that is when they first appear she should've waited couple weeks cause thats when they turn the color of the skin and are barely noticeable and i have them and think they are pretty,my boyfriend tells me they look cute
Yas she said she had them for a long time.....smh, shes not you, as long as shes happy why should u care?
nameless h I mean stretch marks are a such a minor thing. Why cant we teach women to just accept their natural bodies and not throw a shit ton of money on stupid plastic surgeries rather than make this look like it’s empowering.
Mine were purple for a really short time and now its just white. I am also kinda pale so you can barely even see it.
I find it very hypocritical when they say that plastic surgery is only for themselves... I mean, look at them : they take selfies all the time and spend a lot of time on social media. What a narcissistic society...
they're actually really insecure on the inside...
But it's so lame that the first thing she mentions is the fact that she can take tons of selfies now. How great, I almost envy her! - not.
Next it's gonna be something else for her next Bday. These girls will never be fully satisfied with themselves. And that's sad.
OMG FINALLY SOMEONE SAID THIS!!
“It was for myself but more for people noticing”
Girl What!
So she got her nose done so she could look good in her selfies? GOOD JOB THERE, PARENTS
Nahhh, she was insecure about it from a young age and now by saying she take a selfie from angle is saying that she feels pretty, she can actually take a selfie now. It’s an example that her self-esteem has boosted.
It's not her parents fault.. it's her friends probably
Love how we pick and choose the parts of the video we want to twist the meaning then judge what's going on in her life and assume her parents/friends are awful.

PoisonousGuacamole i meant kylie Jenner is a pretty good role model. Did i not word it correctly?
*'I didn't do it for other people, I did it for myself'* - no, you didn't do it for yourself, you're just brainwashed into thinking that's why you did it. this isn't what a women 'taking control of her body' looks like, lmao... it's what being brainwashed by the media, the cosmetic companies, the whole consumer/producer system looks like.
my generation claims to be so 'real, honest, & authentic' - but they're so blinded by the media & trends & their own faces and happiness, yet they don't even realize it. which is kinda sad honestly.
How do u know that? Are you close to them? No, this is why no one takes feminism seriously.
why would they ever get surgery 'for themselves'? plastic surgeron's have never made more money than they have been in the last five years. the media basically tells people that they get plastic surgery ''for themselves" because it's easier to tell yourself you're changing the facial structure your ancestors had for generations just for yourself.
people are scared of being insecure these days, but being insecure will help you grow - if you're insecure about your nose (or whatever), you don't need to change it 'for yourself' - especially when you're sixteen, you should work on accepting yourself regardless of what society says, and overcoming your insecurities to realize that there's more meaning to life - not taking the easy way out and changing it to make yourself feel better, and fit in.
That's such bullshiiiitt. You don't even know them.
I would get plastic surgery for me. no one has ever told me my lips are small or my nose is ugly, I actually get compliments for them but I still want to change it :) any problem? if you wouldn't it's probably because you have a lot of issues and scared of being criticized
how they'll say in my city, mamita seguramente es porque es una reprimida envidiosa que no rechazaría una oferta de cambiar algo que no le guste
“Kylie Jenner got her lips done so why can’t I?” Girl she got more than her lips done!
" plastic surgery is a feminist act " honey, men get plastic surgery done too. just because it's more common for women to get it done doesn't mean its associated with women ..
fatema almazrooie feminism is for men and women, it's called feminism because it was started by women
sure it is
fatema almazrooie lol ur Terry icon
thanks I love cherry I mean terry !! TOAST ARMYYYYY !!!
so what kind of act would you say that is then?
All the red head had to do was put some cocoa butter on the marks so they could fade away...girl talking about some 15 years old
Jordyn the Martian it really doesnt go away from cocoa butter. And im planning on getting laser aswell
jasmine bats yup thats the problem with mine
cocoa butter clogs pores too 🤷🏽♀️
Why they so obsessed with their looks and social media just sad humanity
zoe was like "I did for other people so they wouldn't look at my body and think its weird", then a couple clips later "I feel empowered because I did it for myself."..
I totally agree
15 is too damn young. It's very clear that she's immature.
ThisIsYourLastWarning〉:3 It's...her...life....not for you to...judge...though
she said she had stretchmarks it's her body so you don't care if she wanted to have plastic surgery. She probably wanted to wear shorts or bikinis and din't want people to notice her stretch marks.
We're not judging, it's just pretty obvious that she's heavily influenced by what others think about her and she's SUPER insecure
Kaya F Well, I mean, do whatever makes you comfortable and confident in your own body.
That's how I see it.
If she regrets it, then she'll learn from it and maybe learn to be more grateful for her body.
Oh mrs potato head tell me, is it true that pain is beauty?🎶
Stefanie22 this song goes with it
Does a new face come with a warranty, will a pretty face make it better?🎶
Memes oh mr potato head tell me, how did you afford her surgery 🎶
do you swear you'll stay forever, even if her face don't stay together 🎶
🎶 All the makeup in the world won't make you less insecure 🎶
They all look beautiful.
And I think that if there wasn’t only one certain type of way to look that was represented we wouldn’t feel like we have to change something about us.
girl...my nose is HUGE and im not doing anything
FlaminBeast well when a lot of people pick on u for something it makes u view it urself differently.
If it was that easy all of these girls wouldn’t have decided to go into surgery to cope.
right
Can we stop blaming these girls for making "awful decisions" and "ruining themselves" and maybe focus on the fact that society has made them feel worthless and insecure enough to feel the NEED to get surgery to change their appearance? These girls feel good about themselves now, and is it really their fault if they've been brought up in an environment telling them they have to be perfect to be normal? Stop blaming the people, and start blaming the society... then go out and change it.
merp derp but they did this to please themselves. It’s not like they were forced or pressured. It’s was entirely self inflicted.
Idc people are getting bullied for appearances GET THE POINT
christopher getting bullied can’t affect the way you feel unless you were already insecure
alas actually people aren’t always bullied sometimes they just bully themselves it called self hatred
People: *Judges people for their unconventionally unattractive natural looks*
Also people: *Judges people for fixing those looks*
Do whatever you want y’all, people will talk shit REGARDLESS!!
when you dont understand feminism at all
ikr
was thinking the exact same thing
+Tatum Thompson : 'Feminism is accepting all women's choices… you have to…’ Feminism doesn't mean passively accept one’s decision regardless of your opinion- that just involves ignoring moral reasoning. Feminism is about- apparently - the equality of the sexes (or in this case, un-learning society's expectations on women).
There is nothing feminist with plastic surgery- I'd say it's a vain act, lacking in self confidence.
wow of course you'd delete your comment
"Plastic surgery is a feminist act." **Sigh*.*
Feminism is cancer
Feminism is not cancer, it's the jerks aka "feminazis" who make all feminists look bad.
Mistah Mew there are no more first wave feminists, those feminists gave us the right to vote, if first wave feminism was still a thing then they'd be helping the women in places like saudi Arabia not complaining about man spreading or beauty standards.
How is it not a feminist act
Feminist are selfish
this is sad its not about being confident its about being brainwashed and taking the easy way out
Jane Doe wtf this is not an easy way out. Because there’s no way out if you’re so insecure. Just fix it if it makes you happy.
