Great show buddy!
Thanks so much! I might be heading down to Texas for a wild hog hunt in September!
Great video John!
Thanks Mike!
Great video!!!! Thanks!
Thank you Jim!
That Micro Collection of Bespin City is such a really cool set. I always thought it was so underrated. Wish they had made it exactly the same for the 4" figures. Thanks for the updates 👍
Thanks for watching!
Thanks AFG
Thanks for watching!
I get the feeling the ESB Luke X-Wings are desirable because even though he debuted on a SW card, he wears a similar flight suit in ESB and that image on the card front is very reminiscent of Luke’s arriving on and departure from dagobah. So it feels like an ESB figure. And it also just looks cool as hell.
Great point!
Vintage "Toys R Us" stickers are very desirable IMO. What other price sticker was more representative? Piece of history to me.
For me it depends on placement. They are so eye-catching that it can ruin a MOC's aesthetic appeal sometimes.
@@ActionFigureGrader I get it, I am thinking overall snapshot in time though. If you stand there at the end of a conveyor belt, sure it's perfect.. but at least for me, I collect things I walked into the store and saw and wished for. Toys R Us was a treat. Had a local Kay-Bee, Zaire's, Roses... so those things are desirable. Nostalgia.. I get the untouched aspect that you are talking about though. I personally like the charisma of old toy store price stickers. I know I am in the minority. :)
Agree with both of you. I generally like price tags and see them as a window into a time and place. But the Toys-R-Us ones are so big and orange that sometimes they draw too much attention away from the design and aesthetic of the card back.
I didn't know that AFA/CIB auction was going on last month. Interesting Dutch Clipper Darth Vader bob bag. There's a R2-D2, Chewbacca and I think the Jawa. But no Sandpeople in the U.S. Nice 20 Back H Stormtroope w/extended Boba Fett offer. I like the 21 Back A R5-D4. I notice the spider veins on the card. At least it didn't have the orange or red bar on the stickers. Good looking 41 Back D Luke X-Wing, unpunched, no price sticker. If you didn't know, on the photo, there's a small strip of black on Luke's orange pilot suit on the right side leg above the boot. Wonderful 45 Back AT-AT Commander. I like the Micro Collection Bespin Control Room. I agree on the bad crease on flapper. Nice Micro Collection X-Wing Fighter. I don't know how it was AFA graded 80 when you mentioned the crease on the flapper. The other expensive MC vehicle is the JCPenney exclusive Snowspeeder and that vehicle is more rare than the Sear's Falcon. Great Logray 65 Back A clear blister is better than the Palitoy version. Wonderful Lando Calrissian Skiff Guard 65 Back B. Beautiful Bespin Leia w/turtle neck on ROTJ, but I agree on dark yellowing. I agree on the AFA graded ROTJ Stormtrooper and it looks bad. Wicket is much better. Darth Vader 77 Back B w/Anakin offer isn't bad. Same on Chief Chirpa. Nice Tie Interceptor. POTF Luke Endor Poncho, Lumat, and Imperial Gunner is great. The Imperial Sniper looks good, but blister is very dark.
Thanks for watching Scott!
You know, I think some lower grade or none key items could be weaker over the next 6 months...Why? Jeff Jacob collection savings accounts! Some people are going to be saving up, maybe not buying much...and people are also going to be selling things too, so could this also have a minor impact now? I'm saving now, not buying much, and I just started to look at what I'm selling to get a war chest ready for certain JJ items that I want since we might only get one chance on some of those one of kind items. Might be best to wait to sell after the items you want go to auction, If you get it then you can sell off the lower grade item or whatnot to get money to pay for it...I might do that. All I can think about is this JJ collection, crazy.
Good luck next year on the hunt!
