Ah, you missed a bunch of my favorites! I’ve seen all of the dramas you mentioned and some of them are very good but there was no The Moon Embracing the Sun. (1) This is always the first historical drama I introduce new K drama watchers to and if you’ve seen it you know why. There was also no Scarlet Heart Ryeo, (2) which leaves a permanent impression on everyone who sees it. My Dearest (3) didn’t make the list, which is like if Gone With the Wind took place in the days of the Mongol invasion and might be the most epic historical drama I’ve ever seen. But My Dearest has a strong contender for most epic historical K drama in Empress Ki (4) starring Ji Chang Wook and Ha Ji Won. This drama is long but so worth it. Jewel in the Crown (5) is a classic from the 2000s but based on a true story and stays a captivating drama. Love in the Moonlight (5) is a more fun, light hearted historical drama but still one of my all time favorites. The Forbidden Marriage (6) is a more recent one, and in my opinion, equally funny to Mr. Queen. Our Blooming Youth (7) is another hidden gem that is seriously underrated.

As for Scarlet Heart Ryeo, I intentionally left it out of this first video on my channel (iykyk 🥲). The other dramas you mentioned are absolutely masterpieces too!
