  • Galbijjim - Braised Pork Ribs
    Ingredients: Pork back ribs 1.6 kg, soy sauce 160 ml, cooking wine 140 ml, sugar 2 Tbsp, starch syrup 2 Tbsp, pepper 0.5 Tbsp, garlic powder 2 Tbsp (replaceable with minced garlic), 25 mini carrots, 1 onion, 3 green onions, 1 sweet potato, one (thumb size) ginger.

    Braised Pork Ribs is a family favorite with a sweet and salty seasoning. It would be better if you put in a pear or an apple, but I'll introduce you a recipe that you can easily cook with the ingredients at home. It's easier to eat once cut back ribs, but if you can't get them, you can use the long back ribs.

    Soak the cut back ribs in cold water for at least 30 minutes to drain blood. We are going to skip the boiling process, so it's better to drain the blood.

    Let's make the seasoning. Mix 160mL of soy sauce, 140mL of cooking wine, 2Tbsp of sugar, 2Tbsp of starch syrup, 0.5Tbsp of pepper, and 2Tbsp of garlic powder well. I ran out of garlic and used garlic powder, but I recommend using minced garlic.

    Then, I'll prepare vegetables. Cut the onions and I'm going to use mini carrots and just put the whole thing in. Cut the green onions into large pieces and prepare ginger by slicing it thickly with the skin. When you cook vegetables in an instant pot, it will be crushed easily, so it's better to cut them into large pieces.

    Cut the back ribs that has been drained well into an easy-to-eat size. At this time, wash the cut surface of the bone cleanly.

    Put the meat in the inner pot and pour the seasoning. And mix well with the seasoning. put all the vegetables you prepared.

    After adding 100mL of water, close the lid and the valve.

    Cook for 12 minutes with a Pressure Cook.

    After cooking, force the pressure out and open the lid.

    Water came out from the vegetables, so the ingredients were soaked in water. If there is too much water, boil a little more in Saute mode.
    10.
    If it doesn't taste enough, add a little more fish sauce or soy sauce to add more flavor.

    Delicious braised pork ribs are ready!
    The meat is cooked very well. It's easy to remove bones. Large sized sweet potatoes and carrots are also cooked well. Kids also love the sweet taste of soup.
