    I found a few interesting things with Japanese players. They leave the table as soon as possible once finish one game; they are also extremely fast when they play stone, scissors and paper to decide who serve first; they usually don't express happiness or regret when they win or lose. :D

      To me, Fukuhara ALWAYS looks like she is sad and about to cry ;(. About Japanese players, they are annoying in terms of "singing" aka choing before service... There should be a rule about being silent right before service.

    I thought that Ishikawa showed improved aggression and power in this final. Fukuhara is a tricky opponent and once she gets a scent of victory she is very hard to beat, but twice Kasumi came back from the brink. Kasumi has had many disappointments, particularly when coming up against the Chinese women, so it was nice to see her come out on top.

    What a thickness sponge on backhand side ai fukuhara used? 1.5mm or 1.8mm or 2.0mm?

    It feels like a defining victory. With Kasumi as the new queen of Japanese table tennis. But frankly, Ai should have won it. A two set advantage, and 7-3 up in the final game. Plus her recent form has been good - she recently beat Ding Ning. Still, both played very well, and I would love either of them to seriously challenge the Chinese at the next World Championship. Ganbatte.

    They both lack spin and power, speed isn't everything in TT.

      @leexster 10 років тому +3

      Well what would you do if you were a short and small and naturally lacking in power? Obviously you'd focus on speed and placement to maximise the perks in gameplay! Women's TT is a lot different as compared to Men's TT.

      mingcheng123 How's variation sound? 日本选手打法单调,尤其这两个只知道拼反应拼速度。防守削不住,打又打不动,每球都对攻,看着巨无聊。

      Well are they playing to WIN or playing for your entertainment? Speed obviously works for them - Ai has defeated Ding Ning, Guo Yan and many other top Chinese players. It must be working, if not, she wouldn't have stuck to this style of play.
      Plus, if everyone were to adopt a similar style of play, wouldn't TT be even more ''boring''?

    • @ankeyao
      @ankeyao 10 років тому

      mingcheng123 Of course they play to win, but I also get to pick my personal preference. This play style simply bores me simple as that. Watching Ai play against Ning was fun, because it's a fight of different styles. Watching these two play everything becomes predictable to a point that it doesn't matter who gets the point, they do the same thing anyway. And yes, I like top level but entertaining matches, like pretty much everyone else.

    Забавно они играют , ни на метр от стола не отходят) Реакция есть, дети будут)))

      Фукухара слева среднями шипами играет, поэтому нельзя отходить от стола.

      Yasha Van а вторая тоже с шипами?

    • @Yashavan1987
      @Yashavan1987 10 років тому +1

      Михаил Широбоков Ишикава без шипов играет, но Фукухара может сделать супер-короткий мяч слева шипами, поэтому Ишикава отходить от стола тоже нельзя.
