From the research I had to do: You're gonna need a minimum of 2.000 storage to have access to the Storage Shed on Nook Miles on ABD. It costs 6.000 nook miles. The 2k storage costs 500.000 bells. For the portable ABD: You're gonna need to have paid ALL of your house loans for it to be available on Nook miles on ABD. It costs 9.900 nook miles. Edit: For the BEST 2.0 update experience, you're gonna need to have at least a 3-star rating for your island.
The wooden storage shed which is a diy, is also 6000 miles. It takes alot of wood material to craft, but if you wanna save up miles and have multiple storage shed, this is the better option.

I bought the DLC Wednesday and today I could go to the airport and click the option “I want to go to work” So far the update is awesome. But it’s also kind of overwhelming. This video was very helpful! My favorite part of the 2.0 update is the new furniture items, Harv’s island upgrade, and the Paid DLC. I haven’t played any of the old games besides Pocket Camp so I don’t really get the hype for Froggy Chair, I think it’s just a regular chair like the other chairs in the catalog or in crafting recipes.
I visited a dudes island and he had 100 FROGGY CHAIRS all over his island (yes I counted all of them), pretty insane but also as a new horizons only player just didn't get. Even knowing it was meme
I can confirm the recipes show up via beach bottles, I just got the fruit pancake DIY. The tell for it is the villager signature will be chef and then their name; I.E. Chef Stitches.
Fun fact about capp’ns islands! If it is night, there is a chance to be shooting stars, and if there is, the rocks will give you star fragments, including zodiac ones!
When it dropped i was so overwhelmed! I bought the game (and a switch) a year after launch and I've been trying to catch up to old players all this month. When I saw your livestream and how uou were waiting until the next day for brewster even tho you've waited so long for him I was like "huh". I should take it slow and enjoy the game. As you said is like a fresh start! Im really enjoying it so far!
I decided to go for the night owl ordinance because I get on usually 10~12 at night and can't get to nook's cranny. And now it's only an hour later. 😂 I was hoping it would be till midnight, but oh well.

So much stuff to do with the new update! One of the highlights for me was when Phoebe all of a sudden showed up at my place! There was a lot of new dialogue and we even played a card mini-game at my place!
My favorite part is the town exercise thing, I’m really out of shape so being able to play animal crossing and being able to work out for a few minutes just makes it my favorite part

I actually went to get brewster from the island but when I got back from my island I forgot to go back to the museum to talk to blathers 😭😭 & omg They added sO much!!! I'm very happy with it :) + my favorite thing is probably the new furniture items , the new features to harvs islan, & cooking!!! & I really want the DLC :( but I'm brokE 💔 so I'm probably just gonna ask for it for Christmas or something

Hey, koramora... try a Kapp'n tour at 11pm! When I did so on 11-5-21, Kapp'n took me to an island that falling stars *BY THE SCORE!!!* And it gets better... There were these two rocks surrounded by dirt (one at ground-level, and another at the very top), and when I struck it with my axe, various horoscope-based star fragments popped out! I was shocked at this... But I decided to get over it and tell you about it!
I just want to say... You did a great job explaining this all. I didn't know anything about the update, and this gave me a great idea on what to expect because I want to get back into animal crossing. Not sure why this video has dislikes lol... Ignore them. Haters gonna hate. Keep doing you because you're doing good. 👍🏻
A few new small things! you can now hold diy in storage, you can get recipes from fish and diving, you still cant hold the drinks and donuts like the villager (yes its sad)
Brewster was the last thing I did, and I'm so glad I didn't get the false hype over him. The most phenomenal things I've found so far is getting the outdoor home storage cabinet asap, and unlocking Reese on Harvs island because Reese can help you get all variations of any item without needing player trading. Those 2 features alone are invaluable. Once I finally did Brewster, I had 3 cups of coffee, tried to get dialogue and nothing else special happened. If thats all he's there for is just a place to have coffee, he's pointless. You have to go through the museum to reach him too, inconvenient.
I wouldn't be surprised if he warms up to you over time like Sable (it was kinda like this in the previous games too) and you can get to talk to NPCs in a different way thanks to the cafe so I wouldn't say he's completely pointless. Brewster is not the most exciting thing about the update for sure but he was a firm part of most of the Animal Crossing games so it's just nice to have him back again. Many were also excited for him because they were hoping for the working game to return together with him but sadly that didn't happen :/
Kora, do you happen to have the code for the ADORABLE freakin outfit you're wearing? I'm so excited. I popped on and everyone was so excited to see me after 4 months. I haven't been this excited since it first released. I'm honestly impressed. My 2.0 update came a day early but still had to wait until Friday to get the paid DLC, the resort designer thing.
Man they’re is so many great things in this update, I love cooking and happy home paradise, Brewster, new furniture sets, though just thought I’d mention, finally we can get revenge on the sea bass by cooking it up and devouring it!
i happened to get terraforming at about the same time as 2.0, so i had to sit and spam A for like 10 whole minutes to get all the paths, rivers, cliffs, cooking, new hair, new reactions, pro camera, new custom designs, etc. it took over half my nook miles too, but it was totally worth it :)

I didn't know that you can only pay off one of the Harv Island shops per day, so this is a good tip. I'm excited for the customization so I unlocked Reese and Cyrus first. But I'll definitely do Leif next. Yesterday he showed up on my island and I got tomatoes from him. And today was the first day someone was cooking inside their houses and I got a new recipe from Ankha. That's such a cute addition- I love that :P I'm just hoping you don't have to catch every single fish again to unlock all of the recipes, haha. It was enough of a pain getting all of the fish the first time

Good news! I went on a boat ride and I got the new crop! So leif gives it to you but its sometimes better when you go on a boat tour and get the crops. But he takes you once per day so you might have to wait you can only get the crops on a boat tour
I finished the story just as the update dropped,now it feels like i have a whole expansive and almost endless feeling endgame chapter to complete,but damn waiting for all the update reports to drop as a passionate and dedicated fan must've felt like forever.also can confirm the first island has gyroids berried in it
I unlocked Sahara first and then I realized my mistake. I'm trying to play this update slow and not time travel but me being impatient about veggies is making it hard. 😅
You can get cooking recipes in bottles on special islands with cooking ingredients on them (wheat. Tomatoes, ect) I'm pretty sure one washed up on my island once, though.

I think the Roost is my favorite thing about 2.0. My island's name is CoffeeCove, so I was really disappointed when I realized there wasn't a coffee shop. I'd say the extra storage and storage shed is my next favorite.

I suggest (if you have the bells) to go around harvs island and pay 99,999 to each lloid, then just pay them all off by 1 bell each consecutive day. you don’t have to go back and forth from the atm each day then!
Am I the only one to absolutely love Wardell, he's so cute I can't explain. He reminds me a little bit of Phineas. He doesn't talk much, can be useless for some people but he's, in a way, a good addition for the game. I always loved the grumpy voices of characters in ac.

Definitely can find recipes in bottles. I found one right away, you can see that it’s a recipe before even opening the bottle. I got a coconut recipe in it.
Lol I’m 50 and when I looked at my phone and saw it was 0416 I was so excited. I got out of bed downloaded my papers and put on some Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers to listen to. As 0450 approached I stopped reading my first paper The Denver Post and made a cup of pour over coffee with fresh ground beans. Always a nice medium roast with floral notes. I then looked at my clock and saw that it was 0502 hours and plugged my Switch Lite into my Bluetooth speaker and turned it on. Did the Isabelle thing and ran to see Blathers. Then to the cafe and after I got some coffee I finally took a sip of mine from my tumbler. A too bad we can’t sit anywhere in the cafe and chill and B why the bleep wasn’t this here last year when none of us could go out? I forgot to talk to Blathers on one of my New Horizons islands after I found Brewster, and I had to wait an extra day to get the cafe on that island. That was the island that installed the 2.0 update first, so it had a head start while my other Nintendo Switches was downloading the update. EDIT; 2:25, Kora, that's Timmy and Tommy's duster! Give it back to them!
So I'm very thankful that we finally have storage units that we can put outside I am a little bit disappointed that they didn't take the opportunity to make things like the safe access the inventory you know what I mean why do I have clothes in a cooler?
this is kind of random but i thought it was interesting i got a letter from tom book returning me 2500 book miles. it was for the pro decorating license, which is you get the DLC is free. i just thought it was cool he returned my miles
I literally went straight to the ABD after the update, got the pro photo mode and spent the next 3 hours just going around my island taking photos with the tripod and first person mode. 😅
I love everything about the update and DLC, its so much stuff it almost feels overwhelming, but I really wish they added minigames. I would have liked another way to earn bells that doesn't involve endlessly pillaging my islands resources for bells everyday.

i didnt do any of this as soon as i got the update and i dont have brewster, i have the art museaum unlocked and two arts donated but blathers has said nothing about brewster, im really confused and kinda worried im not going to be able to unlock the roost, any advice?
I found Brewster last night and I checked in today and my museum was under construction. I turned off my console and later started playing again and for some reason The Roost was open lol so yay me.
I never got a thinking bubble from Blathers, what could be the reason for this? I have restarted my island and is still trying to get a 3 star island, so could this be a factor? update: it was that you needed a 3 star island for those who wondered the same.
Redd can be used to get the cafe early I’m pretty sure, I never talked to redd on my island and when he finally appeared it didn’t skip to a highly priced item and instead he greeted me and told me to head to his boat. I also bought him because funny scammer ehehehe

I think the gyroids are my favorite part of the update, they are also really fun to collect.

Oh and I learned that you could get lucky from the island tours and find crops. I got a bunch of wheat plants from an island and also caught a tarantula. Yeah yesterday was a good day for me and I have a bunch to look forward to today

Kora, so I don’t have the cooking stuff! I have K.K but the cooking recipes won’t show up! Also blathers is never thinking but I have the art exhibit and I have donated, what should I do?
Edit: So I ended up getting cooking today! But I still haven’t gotten Brewster :/
I'm also having the problem with blathers never thinking so I don't think its a problem exclusively with your game not sure what's up though
I suggest (if you have the bells) to go around harvs island and pay 99,999 to each lloid, then just pay them all off by 1 bell each consecutive day. you don’t have to go back and forth from the atm each day then!
The first thing I did was go to Harv’s island. Also Brewster told me that too much coffee isn’t good for you……I completely agree.

Am I the only one to absolutely love Wardell, he's so cute I can't explain. He reminds me a little bit of Phineas. He doesn't talk much, can be useless for some people but he's, in a way, a good addition for the game. I always loved the grumpy voices of characters in ac.

Definitely can find recipes in bottles. I found one right away, you can see that it’s a recipe before even opening the bottle. I got a coconut recipe in it.

Lol I’m 50 and when I looked at my phone and saw it was 0416 I was so excited. I got out of bed downloaded my papers and put on some Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers to listen to. As 0450 approached I stopped reading my first paper The Denver Post and made a cup of pour over coffee with fresh ground beans. Always a nice medium roast with floral notes. I then looked at my clock and saw that it was 0502 hours and plugged my Switch Lite into my Bluetooth speaker and turned it on. Did the Isabelle thing and ran to see Blathers. Then to the cafe and after I got some coffee I finally took a sip of mine from my tumbler. A too bad we can’t sit anywhere in the cafe and chill and B why the bleep wasn’t this here last year when none of us could go out? Anyway Cheers from Denver CO today was a little like Christmas as a kid for this old man that’s been playing this game since the GameCube way back in 2000.

I forgot to talk to Blathers on one of my New Horizons islands after I found Brewster, and I had to wait an extra day to get the cafe on that island.
That was the island that installed the 2.0 update first, so it had a head start while my other Nintendo Switches was downloading the update.

this is kind of random but i thought it was interesting i got a letter from tom book returning me 2500 book miles. it was for the pro decorating license, which is you get the DLC is free. i just thought it was cool he returned my miles
I literally went straight to the ABD after the update, got the pro photo mode and spent the next 3 hours just going around my island taking photos with the tripod and first person mode. 😅
First things I have done/only thing I’ve done it bought the new hairstyles found m6 new favorite and made like 5 outfits with it
I love everything about the update and DLC, its so much stuff it almost feels overwhelming, but I really wish they added minigames. I would have liked another way to earn bells that doesn't involve endlessly pillaging my islands resources for bells everyday.

i didnt do any of this as soon as i got the update and i dont have brewster, i have the art museaum unlocked and two arts donated but blathers has said nothing about brewster, im really confused and kinda worried im not going to be able to unlock the roost, any advice?
On my Kapp'n island I found wheat. I got potatoes from Leif the day of the update.

I found Brewster last night and I checked in today and my museum was under construction. I turned off my console and later started playing again and for some reason The Roost was open lol so yay me.
I never got a thinking bubble from Blathers, what could be the reason for this? I have restarted my island and is still trying to get a 3 star island, so could this be a factor?
update: it was that you needed a 3 star island for those who wondered the same.

Redd can be used to get the cafe early I’m pretty sure, I never talked to redd on my island and when he finally appeared it didn’t skip to a highly priced item and instead he greeted me and told me to head to his boat. I also bought him because funny scammer ehehehe
