Reminds me of the old country church I went to in Mississippi. Tears filled my eyes as I listened to this. I thought of my mother, who has gone over to rest. I think of all I have messed up in my life, but amazing Grace will always win the race. I am getting to be an old man now, and finally understand why all those "old" people used to lift their hands and say amen. I cannot wait to see the gates swing wide and rest by the river underneath the shadow of the Almighty. Glory to God in the Highest and the precious Lamb of God.
I sang this to my mother when she was dying of cancer, and my good friends the Drummond family sing this song also and they recorded music with the Rochesters also, they both were blessings to listen to at churches when we visited them in revivals. We sure could use some holy ghost, soul stirring revivals from the south in Hawaii. None here found...miss living in Louisiana and in CT where we could drive and see them anywhere...
I absolutely love these wonderful people of God. I have been watching them perform at our church from the time I was a small child to this day. They are amazing people and their music always puts me in a great mood for the day. GOD BLESS
I love the Rochester's. They are such a blessing to me and everyone who listens to there music. They come to our Church every year in June the last or second last day of the end of the month :). No one can compare there awesome music and not only that they can't compare the energy they show for the Lord! :D
Love the Rochesters - Alto is just about the smoothest I've ever heard. Never misses a beat or a note. Great group.. great harmony. They don't just "do"... they "Are".
Outstanding group singing this song. The lady holding the guitar sings her little butt off. She is great. I heard this song once or twice and I never bothered to find it and then BOOM. My daddy took sick and passed in September 2012. No one had ever heard of this song and I wanted it sung at Dad's funeral. Families will get a man called Bob to sing like a last song at the grave site as he is really good and well, You just get Bob to sing. It's a Norm. Well Bob listened to to two times on here and he said, I Got It. No Problems. Well, Bob sung it right after taps and all that and well. Bob did ok but Bob broke down half way through but none the less,he still finished. Bob came to me later to say he was sorry which there was no need to he did great considering the circumstances but he said he never really listened to the words before until right there and he said that is what got him. Later I found out why people always get Bob to sing the final song and that is because he can sing it and not break down. I tip my hat to ya Bob, You did great. Rest in Peace Dad and leave the gate open, I'm coming too. Your Son Brian.
This song was played at my daddy's funeral 11 years ago, and this is how it supposed to sound. Love you daddy.
This is real southern Gospel music. All the contemporary music doesn't compare. These people are Spirit Filled !
This is the kind of Church I'm looking for! I love this! God Bless!

Do you have a church you go to? I know some missionaries to Hawaii is why I ask. They may be close enough if you don't have a church.
Every time I hear this song it gives me goosebumps. Beautifully done.
