This video took so much time to make I HATE PLAYING GUNSHIP CAVALRY!!😅 Really hope you all enjoy it! Like and Subscribe and i'll give you a purple stud 😎
The levels in Skywalker Saga are its only minus, most of them are super short and not engaging at all. I hope that next lego games will have levels in original style but with open worlds similar to Skywalker Saga
Yeah the levels almost all sucked but everything else about that game was near-perfect. The only other things I didn't like were some of the bugs and the ship combat being annoying after a while, but other than that it was the best LEGO game in every way.
@@ruggedeagle Oh yeah, I remember playing the Phantom Menace for the first time. Most of its levels last max 5 minutes. I was really disappointed after this, especially that most of them are chase/vehicle levels. Luckily some levels in later movies are better and longer, but the level design is still mediocre. I get it that they are focusing more on open world and the story is there, but I'd still prefer if the story happened mostly in levels and only partially in open world. I also love the addition of challenges, I hope it will return in longer levels (but let it be more difficult). I really loved the levels, especially when they added the checkpoint choice in The Hobbit. But I really love when lego levels have hidden, big areas. Like in The Hobbit we have Bilbo's garden full of minikits, collectibles, easter eggs, etc.
You forgot about Lego city undercover. Idk where it fits on the timeline but ik it’s after voiced dialogue which is after Batman 2 so I’d have to assume 2012-13 and it’s been a while since I played it so I can’t remember the hardest. Side note, that zillo beast level was so damn annoying as a child where I didn’t even realise those circle things existed at the back of the level.
I have felt like there's something not quite the same about the new Lego games, and I think you hit the nail on the head with the bit about the focus on combat. I had questioned whether it was just a question about nostalgia, but I've gone and replayed some of the older titles and still found them just as enjoyable, so I think you're right. One of my favorite parts about the older games were all the puzzles and all the secret areas you got to find while you went through them, and I feel like they've really toned those down in favor of just having big boss fights. This isn't always the case, but just as an example, think about Negotiations-if you're doing it purely in story mode, you're literally just heading down a few hallways and then towards the ship. But when you come back for free play, you've got so much more to explore-there are so many rooms off to the side filled with secret treasures; it makes you WANT to come back to find all the secrets-same for games like Indiana Jones and Pirates of the Caribbean. Now, so many of the levels feel so linear, and the minikits are just sort of there for you to find-they've kind of gotten rid of so many of those hidden areas to explore so that there can be more combat things and boss fights. I miss all the puzzles.
Most of the newest legp games just feel the same. There is so much happening on the levels, but not enough to make anything memoriable. Also the camera is terrible, it's always showing everything that happens and thst's just irritating, it wasn't really a case in older lego games.
@@dylansharp8471 every section in the level there are like 3 camera close ups, every single one taking one minute from your gameplay. I can count most of the levels from every classic lego game, aside from the newest ones (called DX11, every single one after TFA). They did so many wrong things in their games recently. skywalker saga also wasn't my favourite out there, levels were completly terrible. They weren't even levels to begin with. Half of them felt like LEGO Star Wars VIDEO GAME vehicle levels (They were completly terrible). TFA had better levels than Skywalker Saga.
The hardest part of the Lego The Lord of the Rings for me was climbing the Orthanc tower to get Saruman character, I fell so many times before finally got him
The OG Pod Race level and Gunship Cavalry made me rage so hard that I gave up on trying to 100% it, a big reason why I hold it so low in LEGO games tier list.
In 2005's LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game (the real game that started it all), they were harder because they had collectibles and a Stud Meter to get True Jedi.
I also hated both of those levels with a passion. I’m more familiar with TVG’s Gunship Calvary than CS’ so as a kid I misremembered both of these horrid levels being in the CS version and as such I had an aversion to playing CS for a while (I did actually finish it a few times as a kid but the memories of pure rage are stronger than my memories of playing CS). I still kinda have an aversion to playing CS 100% mostly because I still don’t like the new Pod Racing level and I have Gunship Calvary PTSD lol
I love your videos man! I’m replaying every Lego game and I just finished 100% completion of Lego The Lord of the Rings and it was such a great nostalgic feeling! Keep up the great work man!
Bro Lego The Lord of the Rings is one of my favorite Lego games. It has some of my favorite levels and one of my favorite final levels. I love how they incorporated the split screen mechanic into the final boss. I wish they'd bring that back.
I played almost every single Souls game out... and I still consider the Lego Star Wars Gunship missions as one of the hardest challenges I've ever faced.
I'd say the hardest levels in any Lego game are probably going to be the Lego City levels, because it's just so hard when you only need that last 100 studs, but you don't know where it is. Also, in the Skywalker Saga, the challenges are difficult, but aside from those, it's actually still pretty easy, compared to Lego Star Wars 1.
Video idea: longest level from every single LEGO game Also I think the hardest level in LEGO Star Wars The Force Awakens is The Battle Of Endor during the Palpatine boss fight there is a mini kit that makes you do a mini game which is ABSOLUTELY BRUTAL
19:01 What is it with these Lego game fans ,I've been playing Lego games since the first games and these games are ONLY getting better, the exception is Lego Movie 2 Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 is better than 1 and Lego Batman 3 is the best of the three - everyone can have their own opinion, but the only thing that speaks for you here is nostalgia
I personally think that the hardest level in Marvel 2 is On Board the Sword. The enemies just do not stop spawning! Another choice for me would be "Hala, is it Kree you're looking for?" Specifically for collecting all the minikits and Stan, otherwise it's fairly manageable.
Idea. What if we get a Lego Batman game in the style of skywalker saga but we go through the live action Batman movies. They also improve the level design from skywalker saga and mix amazing combat with lots of puzzles to make you feel like a detective. The open world is unique to all the different series of live action movies. All having a ton of unique locations from the movie.
i really like your new style of videos that is the meme sound effects and the screen effects as well, really cool. But 1 thing i would recommend is adding a bit more subtitles, since i like to watch your vids without them but often i miss a few words like some important names and stuff so it'd be really cool to have them for the important parts like the level names
7:16 The first Indiana Jones game had the same problem in The Lost Temple and *especially* Battle on the Bridge. Drove me insane trying to get those three chests...
I would definitely agree with you, that's why I always loved going back to play my older lego games on the ps3, and there were light difficulty on each level, but that's what made it fun, a little challenge, but easy enough to make it through the level and having an enjoyable time🤷♂️
4:50 Honestly i can agree there, The Clone Wars is the LEGO Star Wars game i've had the most fun with. Granted progression in terms of getting all the new abilities is rather slow and i think you have to manually find characters to buy them. Also swapping characters in the hub requires going all the way to the command console iirc. Regardless i really like that game and wish the ground battles could've made a return in other games, at least to a small extent
Idk could just be the fact i found out the "you need to built cannons on different areas to go to the next tier" pretty early on. I didn't think of the Zilo beast mission as that hard, maybe annoying with how many tanks i needed but I feel like it wasn't that bad. It also helps i played the vs mode with my family, and i enjoyed those ground battles so any time i got to do one, i had fun.
I love how knowledgeable you are, I learned so many things that I didn’t know I was going to and you answered almost all of the questions I was asking myself
The challenges of “out manned but not out gungan’ed” are a living nightmare! One of them said “destroy all AAT-1 hover tanks” I’ve done that 100 times and still don’t have it! Seriously this challenge almost made me want to throw my Nintendo switch across the room.
I can wholeheartedly agree about that Slytherin crest in Magic Is Might. Tucked in a corner while running from and instant kill wall and you need to replay the WHOLE LEVEL if you miss it. I'm replaying the Potter games via the Switch duology release and i hope i can get that crest with no hassle
The hardest level in Lego Indiana Jones 2 is actually the bonus level for level 4 in last crusade! You know, the level where you have to ride vehicles across very skinny platforms! Level level level level level
14:20 The weird "tron" minigame from Lego Batman 3 was way easier if you waited for the wave of the platforms to cycle again and then you could stay at the front of the wave, making the whole thing literally a walk in the park.
Honestly from my perspective from the Lego Star Wars 3, final level, yes it isn't outright obvious for what you need to do, but it IS the final level of the game (If you do it after the bonus missions on the opposite side), and I assume they thought "They did every other level, so they should have gotten the grasp of the mechanics" - Which is to put your knowledge of the field battle to the test. And studs aren't too much of an issue if i recall, as by the time you get to the level you would most likely have a stud multiplier (or if you don't the zillo beast throwing things, makes studs drop for you to collect if i remember correctly). While i do understand that when your young, you can easily forget key things. I never had any issues with it personally, as the first half was a field battle, i kept it in mind during the last part of it. (i can't even remember when i first played it, but it was on the xbox 360). Also Great video RuggedEagle 👍
I must’ve been a Lego game prodigy because I got past all of the games from Lego Harry Potter to Lego movie 2 with ease (I’ve been putting off completing The Skywalker saga)
In my opinion the most important thing of a LEGO game is that you can be playing them for hours without getting bored, and also exploring the world after completing the levels is very entertaining. I think all LEGO games are quite enjoyable, although they may be some things I dislike about them, but it's almost nothing and don't ruin the gaming experience.
15:47 Personally, for this game, the worst level I played was the section with the whipping angels In the Doctor who dimension. You may ask me why. Well it's because I was dumb and I have 3 others characters along with the main cast on the plate, witch was at 2-3 meters of where I was sitting. Once I've makes Cyborg (my most favorite Chara) free, I returned to my place. Because I didn't have any ideas of what was Dr who was but what the game shows. It trommatised me for a long time.
Great video! I loved it and agree with all of the points you make. I have 100% every single lego game with my best friend over the years, and I have to say Skywalker Saga is my favorite. Valid choice, and well done!
You should've made the joke that you'd have to switch to Henry Jones to be able to hit the other player to reference the scene where he slaps indy in the orginal movie
11:29 Same. I too ended up just parking a Quinjet in front of Maria Hill to either slow her down, or stop her completely. And I don't know what happened, but it was either only me, or my car that crossed the finish line. My character was not in the car. Still won though.
This video was great! I can really tell the improvement in quality of videos that you've been releasing this year! You are doing such a great job, keep going!! 👏👏👏
You sound much more excited in this video and the editing is really different, but that’s not a bad thing!! Your vids are as amazing as ever, good job💜💜
Gunship Calvary is my #1. That level caused me nightmares as a kid. Hunt for jango was annoying but it was due to a computer glitch not really difficulty. Maybe it just seemed easier because 40 hrs of space missions and mind numbing smuggling tasks made me a pro
The final battle with the Indominus Rex in Lego Jurassic World deserves a mention simply because the PC version has a massive bug that still hasn't been patched that soft-locks the fight a lot of the time.
I agree with the Indiana Jones 2 level. I think my record on that level was 45 minutes for the bonus level, and that was with my dad's help when I was 11, and all we had for Lego games were Lego Batman, Lego Indiana Jones, Lego batman 2 and Lego Indiana Jones 2 and Lego pirates of the Caribbean.
What exceptions to Lego games are there? Some exceptions I get, like Bionicle Heroes or Lego Stunt Rally, but what about games with a similar game feel like the Lego Island games? Are they different publishers?
While I disliked The Skywalker Saga's levels (I still think it's the best LEGO game ever though) I really liked some of the challenges. Some were pretty difficult and took multiple playthroughs of a level to beat them.
If I remember correctly, Space Suits You Sir was the level that TT Games chose for the demo version of Lego Batman 3. I remember getting lost in the demo, so now I know why!
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SAYING "HUNT FOR JANGO" IS THE HARDEST LEVEL IN SKYWALKER SAGA. I HATE THAT LEVEL SO MUCH, IT HAS TAKEN ME DAYS JUST TO GET THE AMN CHALLENGE DONE
It's not a fully fledged level but that "Collect 1,000,000 Studs" level in LEGO Batman 2 is so hard, I couldn't unlock Supergirl last time I played it because I couldn't figure out what to do to get the rest of the studs.
New LEGO game (that's more in-line with the regulars) comes out, bonus level bossfight has timing that'd make a rhythm game enjoyer cry and a Sekiro player rage-quit. I hope TT makes it happen for the bit.
in lego lord of the rings game, loading checkpoints can simply break your progress. for example, if you collect a treasure, then exit the game and load checkpoint, the treasure can be missing and there is no way to get it back.
LEGO Ninjago may have deviated from the typical format, for better or worse, but i rather like the game. The level you mentioned DOES take its time but the once part i always found frustrating is the parkour race at the dockside area. There's so many places you can screw up and have to restart.
I totally agree, I was playing this game today and if you don’t have invincibility on you get so screwed but even then when you use the force and they shoot you it stops and it gets super annoying
For those wondering, I think it’s safe to say the hardest LCU level is Miner Altercation because of that Donkey Kong section. Though we all know the hardest and best part of this game are the car chases!
Lego Marvel Superheroes 2 is the best Lego Marvel game when it comes to the character customizer. There are so many options to make your character. I even made Wolverine and Deadpool on my cousins Nintendo Switch.
At 1440 rugged eagle mentions Mario galaxy which is my favorite game of all time. It so extremely nostalgic fir me I used to play that game by myself all the time on my Wii but me an my friend would always play Lego Indiana jones, complete saga, and Lego Batman 2 on our wills together. Love ur vids rugged keep it up

Great video! I loved it and agree with all of the points you make. I have 100% every single lego game with my best friend over the years, and I have to say Skywalker Saga is my favorite. Valid choice, and well done!
Fantastic video! Gunship Cavalry blows!
You should've made the joke that you'd have to switch to Henry Jones to be able to hit the other player to reference the scene where he slaps indy in the orginal movie
I remember a level in Lego Marvel 2…. Omg I took forever on that!
11:29 Same. I too ended up just parking a Quinjet in front of Maria Hill to either slow her down, or stop her completely. And I don't know what happened, but it was either only me, or my car that crossed the finish line. My character was not in the car.
Still won though.
I somehow won it on 15th attempt without cheats. She has v12 turbo engine on her cart!
This video was great! I can really tell the improvement in quality of videos that you've been releasing this year! You are doing such a great job, keep going!! 👏👏👏
i really liked the new editing style! great job man!
You sound much more excited in this video and the editing is really different, but that’s not a bad thing!! Your vids are as amazing as ever, good job💜💜
What was the hardest level in LEGO City Undercover?
In LEGO Marvel Super Heroes in the race against Maria Hill you can use acceleration to make you just as fast as she is
While I disliked The Skywalker Saga's levels (I still think it's the best LEGO game ever though) I really liked some of the challenges. Some were pretty difficult and took multiple playthroughs of a level to beat them.
Where is Lego City Undercover? That's the best lego game, please mention it in your next video.
If I remember correctly, Space Suits You Sir was the level that TT Games chose for the demo version of Lego Batman 3. I remember getting lost in the demo, so now I know why!
I still haven't completed Batman 2 and that is literally the only task I need to complete and never knew I had to do it an exact order
Great video! Have you considered a ‘hardest mini kits’ in Lego games video?
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SAYING "HUNT FOR JANGO" IS THE HARDEST LEVEL IN SKYWALKER SAGA. I HATE THAT LEVEL SO MUCH, IT HAS TAKEN ME DAYS JUST TO GET THE AMN CHALLENGE DONE
This is the BEST vid you have ever done
You say "Don't make a Dark Souls level difficulty LEGO game" but a LEGO Dark Souls would be hilarious.
I love how the most difficult levels in your opinion are actually my favorite levels 🤣🤣
It's not a fully fledged level but that "Collect 1,000,000 Studs" level in LEGO Batman 2 is so hard, I couldn't unlock Supergirl last time I played it because I couldn't figure out what to do to get the rest of the studs.
I feel like he has more energy in his presentation in the video compared to others and I think that’s great
None of these will ever be as hard as trying to complete that dang Biplane minigame from Lego Island 2
The editing is the video is insane and the comfidence i your voice keep it up
New LEGO game (that's more in-line with the regulars) comes out, bonus level bossfight has timing that'd make a rhythm game enjoyer cry and a Sekiro player rage-quit. I hope TT makes it happen for the bit.
The editing is on point the 1 month was worth it another rugged W
You should do a video where you rank each of the franchises in lego dimensions based on how much you would want a full lego video game of it
Interesting oversight about the squids in year 1-4. The killing curse doesnt instantly kill them. They need to get hit twice by it to kill them
God the slide minikit in Arctic World from Lego Batman was SOOO AGGRAVATING
in lego lord of the rings game, loading checkpoints can simply break your progress. for example, if you collect a treasure, then exit the game and load checkpoint, the treasure can be missing and there is no way to get it back.
Love this mans energy in his videos
LEGO Ninjago may have deviated from the typical format, for better or worse, but i rather like the game.
The level you mentioned DOES take its time but the once part i always found frustrating is the parkour race at the dockside area. There's so many places you can screw up and have to restart.
Great Thumbnail! 👍
In the ice slide you can change characters and it kills your momentum and it makes it Way Way easier.
This is a clickbait, you didn't even start at the first LEGO game, which we all know is LEGO Island
2:14 The hardest minikit to get in every LEGO game would be the carrot minikit in LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game (not the Complete Saga version).
I totally agree, I was playing this game today and if you don’t have invincibility on you get so screwed but even then when you use the force and they shoot you it stops and it gets super annoying
You don't Even have force Ghosts in 05.
For those wondering, I think it’s safe to say the hardest LCU level is Miner Altercation because of that Donkey Kong section.
Though we all know the hardest and best part of this game are the car chases!
LCU? I haven't heard that term before.
I'm into it
@@mattsully2238 I’m too lazy to spell Lego City Undercover completely
@@Tyboose I thought you meant Lego cinematic universe. That's funny
Lego Marvel Superheroes 2 is the best Lego Marvel game when it comes to the character customizer. There are so many options to make your character. I even made Wolverine and Deadpool on my cousins Nintendo Switch.
For me, Lego games are like a comfort movie. Turn the brain to a low gear and Coast
No hard levels in the new games was literally the most based thing to do, I congratulate you
At 1440 rugged eagle mentions Mario galaxy which is my favorite game of all time. It so extremely nostalgic fir me I used to play that game by myself all the time on my Wii but me an my friend would always play Lego Indiana jones, complete saga, and Lego Batman 2 on our wills together. Love ur vids rugged keep it up
Love the new editing
