Looks more interesting than Phantom Manor and Haunted Mansion to be obvious. They just did everything perfect, the idea is epic and well Phantom Manor and HM are supposed to be a bit spooky and not like in a typical Disney ride/film
Did anyone catch that. The 2nd to last room, they changed the projectors to the other side of the wall. Some malfunction maybe? Disney's good at improvising!
Yea, I went back to this attraction the next day, and they still didn't have the second wall repaired...cuz I've been on this ride so many times during my stay, so I know there must had been something wrong with the projector or the screen
This is one of the Haunted Mansions, definitely. But the reasons why it's unlike the rest (i.e., no ghosts) is because of the Chinese and their beliefs about spirits and death and the afterlife. So this is a more appropriate version, if anything it's a beautiful updated version of The Museum of The Weird.
Excatly, that's what I was hoping for. I was hoping the same thing when I visit Haunted Mansion. I think people really should keep their mouths shut through the whole ride or talk in a very very low voice so that others can hear the audio and enjoy the intended atmosphere
I rode this early in the morning, there was no one in the queue so it was extra creepy to be touring the mansion alone watching empty cars spinning all around you and the artefacts trying to kill you!
Hey! I rode this 12 times during my visit. Among the 12 times, I got on Car 1 just once, but I didn't record the video, and I never got on Car 2. It's really random. It depends on where you are in the line. So I don't know, probably I will. LOL.
Great concept and the Manor is striking to see. However, this is too far removed from the Haunted Mansion to be labeled under the same heading. Great VIDEO!
This is nice and all, but I hope our Haunted Mansion in Orlando, Florida, U.S.A. stays just the way it always has been. If I ever want to experience the unique rides in Hong Kong Disneyland, I'll visit China; just as they can visit us for our wonderful attractions here in the states! I've hated it in the past when the Disney Company has destroyed some our unique treasures! I would pay a considerable amount of money for admission into the EPCOT Center of my youth; the theme park with attractions like Horizons & World of Motion, and songs like Tomorrow's Child, Listen to the Land, & the original Universe of Energy theme.

The culture of the main target audience is important in the design, build, and execution process. This "Mystic Manor" concept seems more in tune with the Chinese culture, which appears to be magical objects come to life. Personally, I do not like it because I like ghosts and lots of them, which is true to the Haunted Mansion and Phantom Manor concept.

All of the rides in the Eastern parks are so advanced and interesting! The technology and style is so beyond the US and Paris parks.

That was pretty awesome. Special effects wise, this blows away anything in the US Disney parks.

I really like this. Not as a "Haunted Mansion" take, but it seems to utilize some of Rolly Crump's ingenious ideas for the Museum of the Weird.
Chinese don't believe on Ghost they believe to spirits, deaths come to life and this ride was being inspired to the Museum of the Weird.

I actually think this attraction has more similarities to Journey Into Imagination than it does to Haunted Mansion.
Why on the final scene on the other wall projection did not work????

Being a British colony for many, many years, most Hong Kong residents speak fluent English.
Laughlin Murphin Not exactly. When I was there last summer, I figured they can speak some English but not very much and not as fluent as I thought.
I think it's because the English in this ride is very basic for HK residence and people from rest of the world? I don't know..
because tourists don't understand chantonese.

I played there with my family,my elder sister,my dad and my mum also FEEL SCARED!=_= I was nothing but I was wet because inside the games.
Not a great story .... the staff do not seem happy.
The staff is told to act rude. Literally they are told not to act happy haha
It was Walt Disney's rules to look rude and mad in every parts of the Haunted Mansion. to, you know, get in character.
