This rendition of 'Georgia' is one of my all time favourite music clips on youtube. I've known about this video for years and still come back for my dose of Mossy brilliance. Just beautiful! Ian Moss is a national treasure with such a unique, original and melodic voice. Mix that with stella guitar chops and you have a genius right there.
Mossy belongs in the same circle as Clapton, Beck, BB King, Knopfler, Burton, Walsh etc - in my humble opinion. If he was a Pom or a Yank the rest of the world would have known of him long ago. - It is a pity that the rest of the world has been ignorant of his freaky talent.

I remember seeing Ian Moss singing this song with only Don Walker on the piano along with some great electric guitar work at the Roundhouse, UNSW in the late 70's. Great performance.
Barnesy fan that I am - is it possible that Mossy, overshadowed by Jimmy we may have missed one of the great vocalists of our time in full....? Just sayin'.....
Faaaark man, i think the live version by eternal pictures is without doubt the sickest kick arse peice of singing and playing , of any song, yu will find anywhere on yutube. This however is a phenomenal performance , the man laid bare to the bone , so to speak. i just love the fact that every time yu hear a different version of this tune by mossy, over the years, yu can pick how his voice has matured and how he has learnt to use it like he plays that freakin guitar. For me this parades his stunning vocals , front and centre, with the acoustic playin second fiddle. yeeehaa.
I feel if I was just bucket feed Pilbara oil. The luscious bank of tone is so confronting. The blues lives on whisp and grovel for me, The hear. The cold. Mr moss you do change lives.

I cant believe Mossy got third on Australian Top guitarists the other day. Okay Angus Young is obvious at number one but Tommy Emmanuel at number 2 are you kidding? I demand a recount!!
Finlayne Robson Its all subjective really.I think their live performances are what sets them apart. I saw acdaca in Darwin, Mossy heaps in Darwin and Tommy and Phil in Darwin a couple of times at the Darwin casino. yu couldnt get near the stage for acadaca, so yu saw shit. Yu needed a friggin telescope to see Angus, so i was not overly impressed. I saw Mossy at the Darwin hotel a couple of times. Small intimate and right up close and personal. Did i cop an eyeful . I could have snatched his axe mid song, Fuckin awsome. I saw Tommy n Phil and Tommy by himself at Darwin casino, sunday arvo on the lawns. Those two lads are like nothing yu have seen before, their total mastery is beyond reproach, and i came away totally gobsmacked both times. For my money they each have the no 1 position in their style of music. Angus = rocknroll. Mossy rnb, soul, Tommy n Phil ( cause yu cant really seperate them) for instrumental. End of discussion.
I agree, so much Aussie talent around. We've just got to get the message out there! Ian and Wendy Matthews at the Dee Why RSL 21 November. Get there. Should be good.

Hi, want to hear some amazing singing from Australia? Check out John's chanel. --soul / blues singer acoustic. His cover of Sam Cookes 'A Change Is Gona Come." ...Truly Great! He's also a big Ian Moss fan.
You must have have either of these two hearing conditions 1. too many loud live gigs situated near the front speakers or 2. selected hearing (women are v.good at this) because THE ENTIRE WORLD knows Angus Young is #1
My beautiful granddaughter Georgia was born yesterday. I've got Georgia on my mind!!!

one of the best singers anywhere in the world . . . and guitar ? say no more . ..
I remember seeing Ian Moss singing this song with only Don Walker on the piano along with some great electric guitar work at the Roundhouse, UNSW in the late 70's. Great performance.
There's a UA-cam clip of Moss and Walker performing "Georgia" - "Last Stand". Magic.
Sometimes we forget that not only is Mossy one of the all time great guitarists, but he also is a great vocalist. He is another Ozzie legend\freak.
You won't find a better version than this cover...
Ian's performance in 1983 with Cold Chisel - ua-cam.com/video/NhFXjzRRv4w/v-deo.html
The one with Ian & Wayne Macintosh in an expensive fish & chip shop might be better . Have a look .
MOssy!!!! This has to be the best version of this song! Sung and strung beautifully by one of the world's best vocalist and phenomenal guitarist!!!

How is Angus Young even considered better than Malcolm?! Tommy and Mossy would have to be a draw at number one!
too bad Ray probably never heard him sing it...
The entire world?
You must be American, please go watch Tommy Emmanuel videos!
