Heart Mountain Hike/Scramble, Canmore, Alberta. It’s a leg burner!

Heart Mountain is located approximately 40min from the West side of Calgary. After a brief warmup (less than 2km), you go UP!! Gaining over 900m in the next 3.5 or so km, it is not easy at all, and there are some technical bits to get over. Once at the top, you walk along the ridge over to Grant McEwan Peak with views of the Bow Valley corridor, Barrier Lake and Kananaskis Country.
If you do it, I and many others recommend doing it counter clockwise as it is easier to navigate going down this way.
