Spearfishing for Lings in Seattle

- Footage taken over a couple dives in winter and the short spring ling season in 2021. Spent the winter staking out spots, and later in the year was able to capitalize on all the effort. Me and my buddy caught our 1 fish limit within 15 minutes of each other! Back to back shots to end the season. Also was able to spear a male kelp greenling. Beautiful days out on the water.
Great video man and what a nice Greenling. Thing was massive🍻

Where can I learn to spearfish in Seattle/Tacoma area
In Seattle the only place I know of is Lighthouse Diving Center. They offer freedive classes. I haven't taken a class with them though, so I can't vouch for them.
@@MukADuck Haha, I used to work there and the owner was so anti freediving. He used to say they call it freediving because you can’t make any money from it. He was such a fudd, stuck in the 70s with giant masks and huge BCDs. He hated long blade fins and refused to sell them. I guess he sold out to market demand. I lost faith in the dive industry and community from working there.
Stop saying this is seattle its definitely the sound but not seattle
It’s a not so secret spot 💯
Lol, you really like to bag on these videos not being shot in Seattle, it's definitely in Seattle. I was here last week.
