I think the real HOI4 should’ve started earlier, at least this way a Kaiserreich or Democratic tree would have been more plausible for Germany instead of making in happen after ‘36
I remember the later versions of HoI2 starting in 1933 making a communist or monarchist Germany much more plausible and it gave you much more time to create the army you wanted.
That’s a good idea, personally I would go monarchist with that much time, and get my colonies back

I would kill for a Hoi game that spans 50 years.
effectively 1900 to 1950. The focus trees and research trees would need to be a mile long, but you could then have numerous start dates.
1900, 1910, 1920, 1930, 1940, 1945, etc.

I think this mod looked really interesting, but I think it did the Ottomans a disservice. Either that or going Democratic was a bad idea, if you'd been facist or Communist you could have invaded Iran for more factories and expanded through the far East. Still, I've only started watching your videos recently but I really like these mod review videos.

Yeah, the UK ruins every game man, even non-HOI games. I suddenly want to make mods of every game on steam with a "what if the UK never exised" scenario, even for games that it wouldn't make sense in.
They need to add a mechanic where if you annex really isolated states, it makes it harder to enforce your government there thus leading to local rebellions. I'm so tired of seeing Ottoman empire games where they just annex the middle of the Arabian peninsula even though it would be impossible to control the vast swaths of desert in reality.
off topic: tbh i want to see a good, genuinely well-made mod that starts in 1918 right after WW1 ended but actual history. would be interesting.
Kaiser Wilhelm II did NOT rule Germany in 1930. He abdicated all the way back in 1918. The Russian Civil War ended in 1922. In fact the Ottoman Empire ended in 1922 as well, and gave way to Turkey.
This mod is definitely alternative history, or NOT 1930.
Play as the Soviets next. I failed at the moment, when Germany and GB declared war on me. Got fucking naval invaded everywhere and I didn't notice korea was invading me...

Try Cavalry only as Germany, you have to beat the Allies and the Comintern.
You can use support companies. Try having 10 width cavalry divisions with support artillery, rocket artillery, anti-air, engineer and logistics companies, with a lot of CAS and superior firepower for organization and soft attack.

I think that this needs a bit of work, but could be a really interesting mod. Maybe it would be better if the british got a crisis, kind of like the germans in kaiserreich. That way, they wouldn't be so powerful

Alsace-Lorraine (Elsass-Lothringen) was German from 1871-1918, won from the French in the Franco-Prussian War
When I played this mod, I did so as the German Empire and I wanted why to long to actually go to war and Lithuania joined Russia's faction. I couldn't push, but neither could the Russians/Lithuanians. Also, I lost probably a million manpower just attempting to naval invade Finland, the Baltic nations, and Russia (via St. Petersburg). I normally succeed, but then as I advance they get cut off from the port and starve. So I decided to just constantly naval invade just so that the Russians get distracted away from my front line. I ended up having to do some cheeky tactics to break the stalemate. Also the members of my faction (Japan) decided to go to war with the UK. they lost so I lost all my allies except for my puppets who were attacking Russia from the east (near Japan) despite all being in Africa. They also did better than Japan at holding territory. Japan was being pushed back on its own territory. That was my experience with this mod.
Playing as the ottomans in this mod is a pain in the ass. Their manpower is capped amd.everyone around them starts gettin garunteed or in a factiom . I tried to invade greece or bulgaria but by thn they r in a faction or garunteed... :(

There is an literal red arrow that appears after that supposed cheat which holds no ground because 1. The arrow that appeared after signifies that he didn't because you cant just activate the cheat by hotkey without opening the console 2. He clicked on it just as the troop got there

Disunited germany - it's a mod where germany.. is disunited... every new nation only has a generic focus, so my challenge to you is: Try to first form the German Empire (it has to be as Prussia), THEN reform the HRE
I feel like paradox should add spheres of influence to the AI they won’t guarantee anyone without a focus to contain a nation or if the country is on their border they’ll garnered it
