Definitely not a 4 hour round trip hike!! -Petersburg, Alaska

- I chose the 3rd and 4th of July to do an overnight trip up Petersburg Mountain. It is a mountain located on Kupreanof Island with an elevation of 2549 ft (776.94 m). It has been 20+ years since I hiked this mountain, and even when I did it was crappy weather and I couldn't see the views.
This hike I was prepared for views for days. Loaded with camera gear, lots of food and water we left Petersburg by Kayak to embark up the peak and watch our local fireworks display.
Enjoy our hike and update on the trail.

One of the hottest days we had this summer so far!! 73 Degrees but feels hotter up here. Being in the trees was really nice. Stayed mostly cool.
