They have travelled the distance of five thousand miles and has crossed through 12 countries to Reach Lahore from London. UrduPoint anchor Usman Butt has interviewed the Family . I travelled from UK to Lahore in 1976 on a Chevrolet Nova SS V8 but in those days it was much safer than today and Iran was wonderful NO MULLAHS and since I had a US Passport I did not need Visa for most Countries, I did wish That I had a 4 Wheel Drive as roads in Turkey were very bad. The Nova performed very well

5000 miles = 8046 kilometers . means inhon ne daily 447 kilometers drive ki hogi tou 18 din mai Lahore ponhchy hongy
overal we actually did 10,000 kms because took detours too.

An old vehicle more than 5 years old for four-wheel drive vehicles and 3 years old for two-wheel drive vehicles cannot enter Pakistan!
Please advise how did you do that?
For import there are such restrictions to protect local industry but this car was brought on carnet (duty free permit) and must be taken back to UK within prescribed time limit.
Yaar ..get your facts correct...Its not Corolla...Its a Celsius ...version of Lexus model.

Before then I travelled from California to New Jersey some 3500 miles before Shipping the Chevrolet Nova SS from NJ to UK on a Greek Freighter Then on From UK to Lahore Below.

We tried but right hand drive car is not allowed to enter KSA at all.

no big deal , travelled from uk to Quetta pakistan twice , with my family when I was a kid , those days no Google map , no mobile phones , not many people could speak English in those countries we drove through so communication was difficult!

It used to be tradition in mid 70s people used to go to Pakistan in Ford Transit vans but now tradition is changed. People prefer luxury cars now.

With carnet de passage you can bring any car of any age for 3 months

@@hamzakhan-cw1ui no you don’t pay any tax because the car comes on a carnet which is a temporary import document.
You have to pay a deposit equal to the value of the car and a fee to the issuing company. Once the car is back in the issuing country then you get part of the deposit back
