We lived in our camper for 2 years. Me, my husband, 2 adult kids and 2 middle size kids& 3 big dogs(indoor/outdoor) and we homeschooled. This became our home after we sold our 4 bed/3bath house on 5 acres and moved onto 52 acres. We bought 2 sheds and turned 1 into.our kitchen shed. We lived for 3 months using a generator for power till power/water got pulled onto the property. My husband made an outdoor shower and we used a portable hotwater heater powered by an lp tank b/c the camper shower was just too small. We built an outhouse of sorts so we dod not have to deal with cleaning the black tank. The picnic table was used for homeschool and meals. And my peaceful space was sitting by the fire pit as often as possible. We did have a small ice maker separate from the rv refrigerator. 2 freezers in our kitchen shed along with a toaster oven/air fryer. On Mondays we did laundry at the laundrymat- we brought hom eschool work with us. Reach out to me if you have any questions. We survived..we dont hate each other😅❤
I think a staying in the camper is smart!!! I love camping and being outside. Hopefully everything works out soon!!! Sending you lots of positive energy
I hope you guys get answers soon. Can tell that its draining you both. You are putting up a good front, but I see the sadness. So sorry for what you are going through. ♥️
I love the adventure in your family. We’ve done experiments like that and we love it. Glad to see you guys again. Gods grace and protection be upon you. Blessings prayers love and hope to you and yours. Brooks, Oregon. ♥️🙏👍🇺🇸🇮🇱
When I was a kid, at every family reunion we had at my Grandmother's house, my Aunt and Uncle would travel to them in their motor home. Several of the cousins would stay out in it, and those were some of my best memories!
We are in a similar situation, no litigation, but trying to find the right path as it's been a rough five years after buying what we thought was our dream we prayed and worked to get for 30 years. Sometimes God is trying to lead us to better, more peaceful things, but it's just so hard to see it and let go of what was held in our hearts for so long (at least for us). Thank you for the encouraging words in our quick message. It's about faith and trusting that, if we listen to Him, there is a clear path just ahead as we navigate the current life-storm. Love you guys.
Really enjoy your videos as always! You have to know how much everyone loves your long format videos when within two hours, you have almost 1500 views and 300+ likes! Keep it up love y'all!
Great idea and I am sure a bit of a reality check! We spent a weekend in the Adirondack mountains for my 65th birthday and though we had electricity and plumbing there was no sofa! Our little terrier couch potatoes were ready to go home after the first night! I told my husband our dogs don’t know how to be dogs! Live and learn! Your getaway looked so beautiful! Always good to have a break! Peace and blessings! I am looking into a Berkey, thanks Zach! 💖🤗
Life gives unexpected seasons in our lives. Whatever the reason you are living there for now. I just want to let you know that family first and as long you guys are of the same mind and love is first along with god by your side, nothing else matters. May god answer your prayers at his time. I’m praying for you.
We live on the river and use to have a camper on a different river and Jen i totally understand the cleaning differences and I enjoyed the camper life much more!
Love y'all❤ Glad y'all are prepared for whatever happens. Can't believe it has been 4 years and still not settled. I would love to have a LGD puppy but we ain't to that point yet 😊 I keep telling Mack I want a petting zoo like y'all😂 ❤🙏
Hi there! Just came across your channel. Also, a kentuckian. I'll have to go watch your other videos. But can relate to this one, We sold our 12 acre homestead, and our house was 3k sq ft. 5bd 3 bth. Bought 52 acres of raw land and a camper.
When we considered doing camper living on land we looked at purchasing, we considered getting a rent to own or small building that we could hook a window AC unit to and put all our homeschooling things in so we didn't have to store it in the camper. It was a cool idea so our kiddo could have a space for school or for indoor play on bad weather days :)
What will you do with all the animals if you have to leave ? As one who has spent winter months in a camper in zero degree weather, it pretty much sucks . Can't understand a lawsuit about the house. Did you have title insurance? Hope things work out. What a drag it's been having that dangling over your head. Pray it works out how you want it to.
This is a horrifying thought... if your receiving home stead exemption on your home and property and are living in anything but your home it's self, you will loose the exemption! We lost ours because we listed our home, and not wanting to move our belongings in the middle of winter (if it were to be sold) tho we own no other property any where else in the world... when we returned from vacation (it didn't sell) their was a town meeting apparently, saying we were there at the residence, so they took it, this increased our taxes immensely!! I would think you could live in an ant hill, or in a camper, it's on your property! Nope INSIDE YOUR HOUSE OR YOU LOOSE IT!
I’m so sorry this is happening in your life. Years of uncertainty can be pretty stressful. Camper life is definitely an adaptable life style for sure. If you are thinking of a raw land and camper lifestyle, check out the Salem View 42, it’s definitely our dream camper for when we buy land, we want wet lands here in eastern NC for more elderberry trees. 😂 it would definitely give you the space you are looking for and allow homeschooling and homesteading to still be comfortable.
I declare in the name of JESUS, you will NOT have to move or lose your home/property and no financial burdens will ensue from the lawsuit...ALL expenses replenished.... I pray protection, joy and prosperity over the Stiver family and extensions thereof in Jesus name. SO BE IT! Love you guys! ❤
The towns meeting said we were NOT at the residence when they sent someone out to ck... this is why we lost our tax exemption... ohhh I've come to despise all of the township jerks
We don’t know what is going on with your lawsuit but JUST guessing that you guys are in danger of losing your homestead I don’t know the circumstances or the reasoning but I feel so sorry for you guys. You’ve put a lot of work into that place, but you guys are resilient no matter what the outcome comes land can be replaced, and you never know it may be in God‘s will for you guys to move somewhere else maybe in Kentucky’s not for you maybe you’ll go to Tennessee maybe you’ll move to Indiana who knows it’s all in God hands
You fell off our radar screen because you tube unsubscribed us. Back now joyfully, but I dont get it. I get the lawsuit, but why the back and forth. I would think if u are still there, you could use the house. No explanation needed your business, but great to see u again, Ill be over being puzzled soon.
They were having a staycation. Before home schooling started. Their children's schooling stuff is in the house. Now the staycation is over and it's back to the house
I don’t want to come off rude but I honestly haven’t seen your videos for awhile. Did you sale your home? I’ve caught a few comments here and there that your now in a camper. I’m so confused. I’m sorry.
Do your kids write in cursive in home school? Do u teach it? When? I was just wondering because my kids are 11 and 14 (public school), and they learned to write cursive letters in grrammer school, BUT they don't use it now. They do most of their assignments on the computer, and I wonder if cursive is even necessary now a days. . . Teaching them life skills, ie: growing green beans, handling money, cooking green beans, etc, is more important than cursive? I DO want them to be able to read it and write it. I feel like it is a foreign language now. Its good to know but not needed. Plus, if they dont use it, once they learn it, they will lose it, so I dont want to push it on them if its not necessary. .I am making them take Spanish in high school and cursive class is not offered. Lol At this point, I kind of chalk it up to, if they want to learn it, they can do it on their own time as they become older? I don't know. . . . Does anyone have any thoughts on this??? They also can not read a ding dang analog clock, and I am working on that because digital clocks could (potentially) get outlawed in a zombie invasion or a grid down situation. They learned it in grammer school but because they don't use it, they didn't retain the knowledge. .We have an analog clock in the house but I see them walking into the kitchen or a bedroom to read the digital clocks.
@@barbarawadley4343 They're all available in block print forms now anyway. Many children with dysgraphia and dyslexia work hard enough to learn to read and write in block print - so sorry, not necessary AT ALL.
Please forgive me nosiness but why are y'all living in the camper instead of your house.Ehatever the problem I pray you get it straightened out soon.❤🙏🙏
I've tried to figure it out.. still don't understand. I know there's litigation.. so they can't talk about it legally..supposedly it started when they moved onto the property.. but I've never heard what it is. I'm just casually viewing now.. I miss the days of enjoying the house, enjoying the animals.. and growing the business.

Fellow homeschooler with a tip for long division. Turn a sheet of notebook paper sideways and use the lines to keep the numbers in the proper columns.

I still don’t understand why you are in a camper? What have I missed here please
Those pigs, though!
What's really going on? Just say it or keep it to yourself. You will never convince anyone a Camper is better than a house!! Good luck!!
They can't talk about it. So if you don't like what they want to talk about don't watch. They are allowed to say what they want.

Some food for thought. Most of our historical US documents are written in cursive. It’s important they’re able to read those.
Yes cursive is necessary. All our important documents of the United States are in cursive. We need to study them closer.
