Great video! Just purchased my King sized Purple .4 hopefully it suits me well I am a LARGE muscular Fella! (6'4 285 lb). It should arrive next week. I'll definitely keep you posted of my opinion, I'm a side/back sleeper. Wish my back luck!

What if your hubby is a sole back sleeper and 340 lbs and your a side & back sleeper with chronic low back pain at
165 lbs which bed would accommodate both individual needs?

I'm 6', 275 side sleeper almost exclusively, and have back issues. I currently have an older double pillowtop coil mattress with a 3" my pillow mattress topper. The bed makes me feel almost folded in half when on my side it's so bad. Wondering what would be best for me, and I'm willing to continue to use the topper, I just want to have overall support and no middle sag feel. TIA!

If you still like the innerspring feel, I would take a look at a WinkBeds mattress. For your situation, I would look at the Luxury Firm or the PLUS.

I have end stage osteoarthritis in both shoulders and am a side sleeper. I use a couple of special pillows so my mattress isn’t too much of an issue but we do need a new one. My concern about the Purple-i;m a hot sleeper-is mobility. Will the Purple 4 be too soft for me to move around and get out of even. Then there’s the 2-is that soft enough. My husband is around 240 so I’m looking at the Purple hybrid for durability.

So, the Purple is very responsive and doesn't make it too hard to move around. we had that experience with the original and the 4 inch. The other thing to consider is your own weight. If you aren't heavy enough, the Purple mattresses might feel too firm when you are side sleeping.

Me and my fiance are over 300 lbs and we usually switch on where and how we sleep. We love it cold.but we dont mind buying a cover that cools down. Would you by chance give me a recommendation? We like medium feeling beds. Thank you!

I know you said if you're a heavy sleeper then get the big fig but I sleep alot on my stomach,on my side, and I sleep on my back depending on how I feel that night. I'm pretty much all over the place could you please suggest one good mattress for me. To better help with your suggestion, I'm 5 5 and I weigh about 240 lb. I'm in the process of losing weight after having my child so I don't plan on being this weight for long. So could you please get back to me with your suggestion of these mattresses me. Also if there's any mattresses not mention for instance mylessa dream cloud etc. Thank you

Between these two, I would take a look at one of the New Purple mattresses. The gel grid is a great pick for all three sleeping positions. I would take a look at the Purple 3 or 4

Another big difference is price. Purple.4 is $2800 when Big Fig is $1500 for a queen. Not chump change.

@@Purple The Purple.4 costs as much as the new Tempur-ProAdapt series. The whole idea with buying a mattress online is that it doesn't have the mark ups of traditional stores, but in this case, you don't save anything. I could get a queen Stearns & Foster Luxe Estate hybrid with a foundation for less than a Purple.4. The average person spends $1,100 on a mattress. This is way above it. Just my personal opinion.
I do think the hybrids are great. I was able to try out a Purple.3 at friend's, and it's a big improvement from the Original for plus-size side sleepers. My only dislike is the super thin cover. I feel the hyper-elastic polymer grid on shoulder and back, creating more pressure laying on my side and back.

I would choose big fig over purple mattress because I tried it at the bed store and I hated the way the purple mattress felt. I'm getting the big fig but I heard that it's very firm but luckily I have a Topper so that should help.

I’m 5’ 11” 320 and had the big fig for about a year and have been starting to get back pain from the mattress. It’s very firm as many others say, I have yet to add a mattress topper. But as is out of the box I would’ve probably gotten a purple just because the big fig is overly firm for my liking.

I have the purple 4 and I am 288 pounds. I bought the foundation for the purple 4 and I am in the process of returning it. We want to get the power base instead. I took the foundation off of my purple 4 because while laying on our side it was hurting my hip as well as my partners and he is only 205 pounds. The purple 4 is currently laying on the carpet and the carpet is performing better than the foundation.

  • @michaelanon2791

AVOID Big Fig, currently my neck is out and my back from sleeping on this mattress. My neck is so stiff at night i have to use my arms to move my head. My lower back is so back i have pain shooting down my leg. My hip actually hurts from making contact with the bed. This is a mid evil torture device. I have called support in spurts every couple of months only to get a machine, when i was sure i'd never get them to call me back and i was more or less trying to make a paper trail they finally called me back. They said i could use the warranty and if there was a sag then they would fix or replace, but guess what, a foam top won't sag without weight on it, making that warranty completely worthless. Customer service is worthless, warranty is worthless and most of all the bed is more painful than a car crash.

Not to be rude by asking this, but I'm wondering if you're a larger person? I'm over 350, so I feel like it would sink better for me, I think if you're lighter than 300 it wouldn't work well because it's not designed for a "lighter" person. Would you mind going into more detail? Looking at getting a new mattress myself, so I want all viewpoints. 😊

    • @Mattressclarity
      @Mattressclarity  4 роки тому +2

That's when you are lying on the mattress and press through the comfort layer. This happens for larger people, and it feels like they are driving into the support layers and feeling extra pressure.
