As someone who tends to get depressed and self isolate, I appreciate you mentioning the aspect of fall and why some of us hate it. Days getting shorter and more dull sends me into panic, knowing my mental health will decline at least until I get used to that. I still read and drink tea in 40° humid heat too, but the things you mentioned sound like something I have to try to feel better! Thank you❤ and Scotland in fall was so pretty. Today is the first day of autumn in my city that gave me the strong autumn feel (cool crisp air, gloom, leaves everywhere) so this is perfect to just come home and unwind to🍂🍁

My personal favorite fall movie is The perks of being a wallflower, it's actually my favorite movie anytime, it shows PTSD and the issues and feelings young special people have to face so realistically and still the whole vibe is so epic, great music too

I love how you mentioned how mental health often gets worse for some people when it starts getting colder and darker, because I’m definitely one of those people, last year was probably the worst winter I’ve ever had, I don’t remember ever feeling as bad as I did then, so I’m starting to spiral a bit already.
All my friends love it when winter comes and none of them get what I do, so I feel completely alone in it, that’s why hearing your reassurance made me feel so much better 💜💜💜💜💜
Hey there, I hope your autumn/winter is going better than last year. Please take care of yourself, and make sure you’re not needing any vitamins, because in winter we often need vitamin D because of the lack of sun and everything. Try and do things that you enjoy and create a cozy environment with warmth in your house or even your room if possible. Light some candles, take a bath, bake some cookies, read a book, drink some tea, or hot chocolate if you like. Try and go out for a walk, even if it’s only 10 minutes every day or every two days. Disconnect a little and listen to a podcast or asmr to not stay in an overthinking spiral. Be patient and gentle with yourself because you’re doing your best and you’re amazing ! Hope these few tips helped, remember that you’re not alone 💕

To help with the difficult pronunciation of “samhain”, it’s Irish so doesn’t really make sense. It’s souwan (the sou like at the start of the word “sour”) In Irish the name for Halloween is Oíche Shamhna (ee-ha houwan-ah) which just means night of samhain. I could be off on the finer details, it’s been a while since I did Irish in school but the basic idea is correct
