Remembered the Ark at PB and the Boating Lake too, as well as much more
When the pier was halfway in the sea 👍Now it’s not, it seems that all the beach from Hemsby is now under the pier ? Really strange how over the years the beach has got longer in Yarmouth yet everywhere else north of Yarmouth has massive beach erosion 👍👍Great vid thankyou 👍👍👍
Yes I remember when the sea went under the sea in the 1980s and 1990s and it’s strange how hemsby the sea is coming in and Yarmouth it seems to be doing the opposite some people say it’s because of the harbour but the sea was bit reaching the pier before they started building it
Some people have said it’s due to this en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Longshore_drift?fbclid=IwAR1vdfaKd1u2tBl_BM0xCJ7N3-kjKfSqP14NkxRxj0a4eJX38sr8Tjg1uDg
Anyone interested in these might like my "Caister-on-Sea - Then and Now" video. It's some old photos from around Caister, mixed with the current view from the same location:

Used to stay at the Old hall Caister when they had all the caravans
When Yarmouth was still great.
