I love the way he sings the final "But I am", it's the first time he sings with that almost raw emotion he can sing with, and I can FEEL that he will go rougher with his vocals at that part when performing it live. like not screaming, but like the way he sang Blood Sport (From The Room Below)
This is my favorite of the 5 released so far - and that's saying a lot because all of them are amazing. This song just hits in a certain way and reminds me of relationships in my formative years. The whole dark synth/pop meets R&B-metal sound is intoxicating :)
I swear you are one of the only reactors to bring up video games. Someone in Sleep Token is a major gamer. I hear a ton of Doom soundtrack in some of their stuff too, I think thats the heavy sound they went for in their drops.
Oh hell yeah, that Mick Gordon sound is *chef's kiss* ... Now that you mention it, I could definitely see it I feel like metalheads and gamers have a huge overlap! But yeah, even with the Periphery 'Zagreus' video, I think only one other reactor heard the Hades jingle in it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ P.S. Omg, I feel dumb. I accidentally called 'Pyramid Head' 'Triangle Head' LOL. Could you imagine? Doesn't sound scary at all hahaha

Granite does it for me for all the reasonsd you give. Each are creatively more-ish, but the lyrics of Granite get to me more currently.
