You missed part of the Ming-Turfan conflict in 16th century! Especially, Mansur khan of Moghulistan the one of Muslim leader, launched war against China. "In 1517, 1524, and 1528 battles brok out. Mansur tried to attack China in 1524 with 20,000 men, but was beaten by Chinese forces; The Ming forces repulsed the Turpan forces and Mongols from their raid on Suzhou District."
Hey Dragon Historian, can you do a video on "rise and fall of the Descendants of Genghis"? This should cover a fascinating period from 1206 when Genghis was coronated all the way to 1920 when Bukhara emirate was conquered by the Soviets.
The way a lot of these places are represented in EU4 is so bizarre. Like the borders are altered by nearly 100 years in some places just to make the map look more interesting. What is Yarkand in EU4 even meant to represent.

Completely? It was known as "Moghulistan" and people and rulers also knew that they were Mongol. Only some tribes were Turkic origin like Timur. The Chagatai were Mongols as much as the Hunnic Empire was Turkic.

The Uyghur nobility in the Tarim basin. The Chagatai/Yarkand split is to represent the nomadic and settled peoples of Moghulistan
Worse yet, it is a settled emirate in the game, making it so boring to play, even though irl Yarkand was a nomadic khanate.
