They are inside in this video, but sunlight is good for them. Just make sure to always provide shade, water and food if outside in the sun. If outside in a cage, it is also good to supervise them.
It's not that the sun is a problem for them, after all in the wild they are often under direct sunlight. The instruction is given to keepers who might consider giving their birds a window view, without offering any shade, meaning the poor things can cook in the heat without anywhere to go to cool off. However, you should expose your birds to sunlight for a bit, it's incredibly beneficial to them as it is for most animals. Helps with absorption of calcium, vitamins etc. Just don't stick them next to a window and let them get sunburn or worse.

@@birdsandfriends it’s still early spring here. Once summer starts kicking in, I’ll try putting their cage in our balcony to get sunlight
