John Mitchell works as Alpine supervisor at Edinburgh Royal Botanic Garden where he manages the Rock Garden, Woodland Garden, Alpine Area and most recently the New Alpine House. Over the last 20 years he has travelled all over the world on plant expeditions and botanical tours. His talk will give you the chance to learn more about one of the most biodiverse areas in China.
The Alpine Garden Society is an international, UK based, charitable organisation primarily concerned with the cultivation of alpine and mountain plants from around the world. The AGS is also involved in the study and conservation of alpine plants in the wild.
