We as latin american people always used to believe that things were better in the US, but it seems it's not at this times, no wonder why some many migrants head to US, if we only knew we can make a great country to live back home. It's great that the 2 of you are not giving into the fear that's being perpetuated by the media and are just carrying on with your lives. Traveling during this time when tourism is suffering will benefit people who depend on tourism for their livelihood. And a traveling nurse , out in the world traveling making the world a safer place. You never know the two of you might come across someone who might need medical attention.

You should visit historic places in Rio. I love the beaches and this kind of thing, but... It really has a lot more than Christ, beaches, sugar loaf... Museums, Real Gabinete Português de Leitura, Theatro Municipal, Biblioteca Nacional, confeitaria colombo etc.

you need to know the state of Alagoas and its capital Maceió. there you will enjoy a beautiful coastline. Enjoy and get to know the entire Northeast, as Brazil started there and in that region there is a rich cultural collection.

All good reasons. Just being able to spend a considerable amount of time outdoors without freezing is enough. You're increasing your natural D3 intake which is shown to be beneficial and you're having way more fun for the buck there. It's obvious that you guys are being careful and paying attention to your surroundings. You make a good team.

Go to Cabo Frio, north of Rio de Janeiro State. It is a beautiful destination!
If you are going to stay in Brazil for a couple of months, circle back to Rio for the carnival. It is very fun.

I love the southern route: Curitiba and Morretes (Paraná state), down to Penha (to visit Beto Carrero World, an amazing amusement park), Balneário Camboriú, Itapema and Bombinhas (all in Santa Catarina state). Bombinhas is the safest among them all, I've never heard of robberies or anything. If you wanna go even further south, I'd recommend going to Gramado before christmas time and visit the surrounding cities like Canela and Bento Gonçalves. Those last cities are in Rio Grande do Sul state.

Please .... You urgently need to know the sugar loaf, take the cable car from the Sugarloaf Mountain and of course get to know the Caribbean of Rio de Janeiro. Still in Rio de Janeiro, they need to visit Barra da Tijuca, Recreio dos Bandeirantes, Prainha. Going to cities near Rio de Janeiro you need get to know Buzios and especially Arraial do Cabo, where the sea is arguably one of the most beautiful in Brazil and is close to Rio de Janeiro.
Just a complement for those thinking about travelling to Brazil. Yes, 6.000.000 cases but since fabruary. So it's a number that will allways raise, because don't register active cases only but actualy add all the recovered cases also. It's not that, today, 6mi infected are living among us.

So far, as I am concerned, you guys have been to SP and Rio, but there are so many beautiful cheaper and safer towns and places you can visit in Brazil and I think big citties all around the world are not that safe. Even in the US. So i wish you have a great stay in this sunny and beautiful country and be sure, Brazil is like no other place on earth.

There are other cities safer than Rio de Janeiro to visit in Brazil. Rio de Janeiro is beautiful, but you have to worry about thieves. I recommend my hometown, Florianópolis. It is a capital, but also an island, so it has many beaches and paradisiacal places. It is much safer than Rio de Janeiro ... you can use your new camera here.

Actually , if you get a COVID , Brazil is the best place to be because we don't tell people to stay at home with symptoms, we treat them with a very effective combination of tablets. Thank you ! You encorage me to buy a flight to Brasil to see my family. I am stuck in England with a silly fear. I think England is more dangerous than Brazil regarding COVID. Brazil is one of the best destinations under any circumstance since in addition to its legendary attractions it has much more to show. It is a country that has not been visited by foreigners in the amount it deserves, due to different factors.
Be this the occasion to break with prejudices, there are countries that statistically surpass Brazil in insecurity both in the American continent and in the Caribbean.
Unfortunately there are commentators who flaunt all their prejudices but they are the minority.
At the end of your stay you will realize that the best thing about Brazil is its people (I am not Brazilian). I read the Brazilian comments with interest and learn a lot from them. Make an effort to pay attention to them when they object to some music and other facets.
It may be a longer stay than expected but the experiences you will have will be unforgettable.
Why don't you come to Brasilia, Brazil's capital? It's also amazing city to know!

@@lindseyfw2903 the disconnect was all the videos done in USA, i wasn't feeling the channel then at all, even though you both did a good to keep thing rolling, but it was not blending with the content that was there..so for me, that was the disconnect.
@@lindseyfw2903 nah i think you both do, it's just with COVID-19, there are too many restrictions and with the snow and everything is was a bit limiting..I think Alex is correct in saying that it's best to go somewhere warm. for me, i would not choose Brazil right now, but as said, there are more cases in the USA than any other country in the world..so why not..hehehe

Although I love my country and would naturally welcome anyone here, the political situation here has become so unbearable that I think it's safe to say we are no longer that "friendly people" everyone says we are. We've never been more hateful (to each other), and just the fact that you guys are here, and had no sanitary measurements undergone, no paperwork, no visa, nothing, just goes to show what a poor management this country has had for the past few years. I wish you luck, and strongly suggest you NEVER get into politics, because people will be on a roll. If you say one bad thing about our current president, for example, you'll see people who previously said loved your channel and videos change their mind so fast you won't even know what hit you when all the backlash, hate, boycoting begins. Yes, we used to be quite friendly, but we're on the verge of a total pollitical melt down right now. It wasn’t our last option, we were just saying that we looked into many things. Out of the whole world we had maybe 5 options, Brazil was one of them. We were very excited to come to Brazil, mostly the flights were cheaper to get to Mexico

Brazil is not one of the worst countries hit by covid if you take the number of cases by a million people. As Brazil has one of the biggest populations in the world, it’s normal for the total number of cases to be one of the highest, but when you measure by statistics, there are a lot of worse places.

There are two entire cities in Brazil which was listed and recognized as a World heritage. So, they "stopped in the medieval time" visiting it feels like traveling straight to 1500. Its names are Diamantina and Ouro Preto

@@TheTravelbum Nice! If you could, try to visit the historical cities of Minas Gerais: Ouro Preto, for example. A city with churches made of gold, into the mountais of Minas Gerais.
@@lindseyfw2903 OMG. You should totally come to Recife (Recife Antigo is awesome you'd love seeing the historical architecture there). If you want to see beaches then I recommend Maragogi beaches in Alagoas, or Porto de Galinhas, Tamandaré. Also, in the country side of Bahia there's Chapada Diamantina, Salvador is beautiful. Just take a look at these places and decide. Good look. I wish you all the best.
