Luc, it is beautiful! It would be great to see these same videos with Russian voice acting. You speak Russian very well. All the CIS will be watching you.You are charismatic, positive, good-natured! So a few million viewers are guaranteed! Good luck to you!
yes, we were passing by them (when we were on our boat) but, you know its kinda hard to film there (not enough light in there), maybe next time. Thanks for your support! More are coming soon. (LPT)
I visited both Sevastopol and Balaklava. The submarine base is the coolest thing to see in Balaklava. You were close to the Valley of Death. I am surprised you did not mention either place or show the monument in the bay at Sevastopol. Also the early settlement and ruins near there are great to visit. Good video! I am a teacher in the USA now and show your videos in my World Geography class.
We got lucky (hey, there's no substitute for being lucky) - we arrived just as the Priest appeared and he was happy to be filmed and allow us to go up into the bell tower !!
Sebastian, thank you for your comment! Yes, we are doing a lot of videos and still searching for our way (the other way) and what content (what videos) will generate interest from our audience. But, clearly, it's easy to realise that reality is different for every person and we want to be apolitical, we are not here to judge places where we are filming, we are here to experience for ourselves the places and the people of these places in order to translate this experience to others in "the Other way". Luc's Jones Production team (LPT)
Dear Sai, thank you for the questions. The sign next to the CAT statue says that this is the museum of "History of Balaklava". This statue of Cat is dedicated to the cats of Sevastopole and Balaklava (there are numerous Cats in the port, lots of fishermen) and the owner of the museum wanted to pay tribute to them) this monument was created in 2017. And, the Church is a special church, Christian Orthodox, it is located in a cemetery where all the soldiers who died during the Crimean war are buried. It's Called St.Nicholas Church and Monument. Let me know if you want more details. Luc's production team.
Thank you so much, Irina, it was so nice standing on this hill and film! we rushed to get to the top of the hill just before the sunset, and we are glad that we made it - just for this shot! It's all worth it. Please share with your friends, Best regards, Luc's production team.
Your Russian is very good. Impressive. I do have to ask; why do you use the phrase “the Crimea”? The question specifically regarding the “the” portion. I mean to say, one wouldn’t say “the London” for example.
Thanks Eric - I have begun dropping the 'the' - guess it's a force of habit at my age (48). Same with Ukraine. Interestingly, Sudan (which I visited back in 2015) used to be called 'The Sudan', if you go back far enough...
@@theotherway9498 I hear you on the “at my age” -approaching 55 and forced retirement not much further than that. Great and excellent presentation. 👏👏👏 What is the sign that the cat is catching fish statute ? And what kind of church? Is it RC?
