    There are a few very nice Ocean Alexander yachts here in the Marina del Rey. Truly a first class builder of quality motor yachts. Exquisite.

    Most beautiful yacht I have seen in it's size,is there anything this boat doesn't have. Just beautiful

    • @jayjacobs2229
      @jayjacobs2229 6 років тому +1

      Yeah it doesn't have a garage for the tender so you have to put it out on the back deck which spoils your view and you're going to have the smell of diesel otherwise it's a beautiful yacht

      Some people,...and i am included,...have no idea how to run a yacht,....
      I am sure this can be done as a business with day trips and evening cruises creating some kind of income to support the great expense of a yacht,....
      Do you ever post outlines or make videos giving general ideas about how all this works in practical terms?
      I try to make everything I own pay for itself and that has been working out pretty well for me.
      Can this happen with the right yacht, location, and business plan?
      Maybe this is a good idea for a video,...show people how they can have the best of both worlds,...

    Master cabin on the main deck so the crew can look in and you can't sleep unless you install 17 blockout blinds.

    What is the range of the yacht. Can I go from Florida to Europe & how long will it takes also, how much crew is required to operate the yacht.

    • @seikibrian8641
      @seikibrian8641 6 років тому +6

      The range depends greatly on the speed. For example, at 22 knots the range will be about 430 nautical miles. Slow down to 16 knots and the range increases to 670 nm. At a passagemaking speed of 10.5 knots, which is within the hull's full displacement envelope, the range is 2480 nm, plus a 10% reserve for contingencies. To cruise from Florida to Europe, I'd run up the coast to Charleston, SC, and top off the tanks. Then I'd set course for Bermuda for another fillup, then set off on a rhumbline course to Horta, in the Azores. After topping off the tanks again, I'd set course for Cork, Ireland. Using this route keeps one in fair winds and calm seas as often as can be expected, and the longest leg -- from Bermuda to Horta -- is less than 2,000 miles. Some skippers prefer to head further north first, to Maine or Newfoundland, before heading to Ireland, and that route has a shorter "longest leg," but the weather isn't as predictable. Sailboats need steady winds, but power boats do better in calms, like the Azores High. Now, how long will it take? Including layovers in the various ports, figure 25 to 30 days. Not as fast as flying, but a lot more fun.
      To answer your last question, with all the modern automated systems you could theoretically handle this vessel solo...at sea. But handling dock lines, provisioning, maintenance, etc. would be next to impossible if you were by yourself. Plus, maritime law requires a lookout to be kept at all times when underway, and since you'd need to sleep that requires extra crew for watchstanding. You could do it with three people including yourself, but more would shorten the length of watches. Since this yacht has accommodations for eight guests in addition to the owner(s), plus accommodations for six crewmembers, there's no need to play Joshua Slocum.

    Very nice, however I dont see some issued around the dining table. When guests are sat at the table, it appears that access to the wet bar will become very difficult, due to the lack of space between the table and bar. Same issue of requiring some further cutlery/place settings when a guest is sat at the table. When you've paid $12m you shouldn't have to expect guests to stand during a meal in order to access essential items.

      Maybe get a wide angle lens and don't be afraid to actually look up when showing off bathrooms, bedrooms, etc.. No one would get mad if we saw the cameraman in the mirror, intact trying to hide him makes it frustrating for the people watching. Otherwise, dope boat!

    Once you surpass 200' in length, then you can call it a "mega" yacht. This things only 15' longer than my family's Lake Mead houseboat.

    Jut charter a boat for 25K a week or so. This is 11.9 Million not counting maintenance, staff on payroll, et etc... sounds nice that you want to live on the boat but in reality it sucks after a while. If you have millions, charter it and avoid the headaches..... then get your Ferrari or Maserati..... Don't get me wrong, its beautiful but too much headaches and the rich are cheap too.....

      This guy is from NY sounds like Brooklyn BS down in South Florida, on Collins Ave.... let's be honest. His dress attire and command of the English language is not being articulated properly to show such workmanship and attract high end buyers. He reminds me of a guy who worked in Brooklyn at a deli store selling bs.
