I think I only recognized about 5% of the youtubers this year which is shocking bc last year I had at least heard of half of them

I think they are trying to include a variety of youtubers from around the world and not just the ones who are relevant in western culture.

I love all of the UA-cam Rewinds since Rewind UA-cam Style 2012, and they are all beautifully created in my opinion.
The only disadvantage to them is that they have to be about the current year, and while it's obvious why they do, that means that they will miss things, because they'll finish filming before certain things happen and/or become popular, or they simply won't hear about something until it's too late if at all.
i always gets super hype when i see people i watch lol i feel like a proud parent, cant wait for rewind 2017

I don't know if I'll ever become a famous UA-camr, but it's a shame I wasn't one in 2016, because this looks like the most fun Rewind to be in (even though they all look fun) - hopefully they'll keep doing Rewind, partly because I'd love to be in one, but also because I love them anyway.

A lot of people keep saying that this year's rewind was horrible but I honestly like that they put a bit more emphasis on the international channels.

To be honest, seeing this put a really big smile on my face. Seeing it's not all about just the UA-camrs who make English content, not just about the ones who reside in US or UK, it really makes you see how UA-cam appeals to the globe now. It was so beautiful to be a witness to the creating process as well! :)
