New Dahlias For 2024

Quickly filmed this video on our Son's birthday to show the new dahlias for 2024! They arrived in the post whilst we were out enjoying our lovely family trip out. Managed to pot them up in the afternoon in the greenhouse.
I have lots of other new additions to the dahlia family from some other suppliers... keep your eyes peeled for those ones too :)
Dahlias are one of my favourite flowers in the late Summer. Super excited to see these bloom!

The Halls of Heddon labels usually give the shape, colour and height as well the name, which is helpful. Mine haven’t arrived yet. Hope you enjoy yours. 😊

Can I ask how you protect them from slugs?

I pre sprout all of my dahlias in pots before I put them out to give them a head start against the slugs as I find it's the new shoots they love the most. Then when they are strong and big enough I plant them out 💪 I also rely on the birds/frogs/hedgehogs/slow worms to eat the slugs 🤞 ill share more on my next video on what I use to help deter pests 🐌😁👍
