Hilary, I’m so jealous of you! You live in such a beautiful place! I did too 37 yrs ago but my ex-husband wanted to expand his career opportunities & I didn’t want to stand in his way. Now I’m stuck like Chuck in Houston…but my daughter & her family & my mother are here. So the moral to the story is…it could always be worse, right! 😊

HAPPY Thursday Hillary and family! We have Bible Study tonight. Our church just started the first in our community called Heal YOUR Broken Heart; it is a group for any age for whatever need. The Babies are growing so Big. Food looked Delish Hillary! STTB

Luke and Jude are so cute. I see Jude is his old self thank the Lord. I need to try another breakfast casserole. It's been awhile. It's great how the church helps each other. We had poundings where everyone brought a pound of something for our widowed pastor or someone in need. I took to much I guess because I would take 5 lb of sugar and flour. Hilary, when I feel like I'm losing my motivation to do the "mundane" tasks that never end for us stay at home moms, I just watch one of your videos, and I keep going. I've been in a funk lately because I'm wondering if I'm meant to do more, but then I watch you and realize that this really is a job in and of itself, and even though my kids are all in school, this is what God has planned for me:raising kids and keeping the home.
Amen sister, whatever you do, do it as unto the Lord, and if He opens doors to “do more” than we walk by faith!
You are such a busy lady. Your meal preparation is fantastic. It looked like a lovely day to be outdoors. I was a school teacher and raised 5 children but was never as good a homemaker as you are. I had to use the late hours to prepare school lessons for the next day. I enjoy your vlogs . 👏🥰🍂🍁

A friend came over for a casual breakfast and garden walk. I warmed up black beans, scrambled a couple of eggs and put them in a bowl side by side. I sliced avocado down the center and added some salsa. Served with a little fruit bowl. It was tasty and satisfying. For lunch or dinner, I've been making lots of "bowls" lately. Some grains (quinoa, farro, or brown rice), black beans, some sweet potato and squash, lots of fresh veg, like tomato, carrots, and cukes with hummus, and even a dollop of sauerkraut. Hits lots of healthy food groups and easy to throw together.

I’ve never been to New Jersey but where you live looks more like the country, not “Big City”. It looks so beautiful the scenery. And yes how wonderful to have local honey and an honor system to pay for it! Awesome. ❤

It's interesting to me how you live nearby bigger stores that take me 45 - 60 minutes to get to. My closest Walmart is 45 minutes away and my aldi is over an hour! I go once a month to aldi and stock up. You're so blessed to have groceries delivered!!!

I hardly use recipes when I cook. It was just two chicken breasts, two cut up peppers, an onion, cilantro, and dried taco seasonings I mixed up (garlic, onion, cumin, turmeric, salt and pepper, chili powder, paprika… I think that’s it) and I just cooked it all with olive oil and added chicken broth to keep it stew-y 🧡

I'm curious how you schedule your cleaning for each week...I keep hearing you mention it and I'm curious. I started a bit of a schedule to fit in some deeper-ish cleaning. I haven't been doing well getting to those tasks since we moved to our present house in April. This morning, I got a lot done in my large laundry room that also has my freezers in it.

Hillary where did get your boots that you wear with dresses? The look great, I think you said you are on the petite side as am I, and it’s hard to find calf high boots that don’t take over your legs

My older daughter has read most of them, they must be compelling because she reads them in a day! They also have smaller comic book style ones we found on this trip. She decided on snow leopards ☺️

What do you use on your rags to clean?
Hilary, I’m trying to get away from disposable dusting products. Do you use microfiber cloths or regular rags and are they damp? Just looking for options. Thank you. Jenn
I do use a damp rag for surface dusting, and washable mop pads for our floors 💛
