Thanks a lot man. God bless you.
You are welcome. Thumb up!
Informative video..can someone pls post the link to purchase protective cover online?
You can get this in any electrical hardware shop or search switch cover in any online shop.
@@CTBLiew sure, thank you. How much it costs? Cost seems to be very high in online(near to 500).
Try AliExpress?
When u remove the switch cover at the beginning, will the leg break because its actually quite fragile. Is there a special technique to take out and fix back ?
It worry me too initially. The two plastic notch that hold the switch panel is really thin. I did this recently to replace the door bell cover. The switch cover panel still remain intact even after the second removal. Maybe can use a thin plastic card helps.
1 like for you, Mann Ling Koh. Spent huge amount of money to upgrade my home electrical system and of course using the Hager switches (bcoz they are damn nice to look at). The switch cover's legs are too fragile! Have to replace 3 switches in my house now after only 2 years. Bad quality from Hager.
Try not to screw too tight while fixing the switch panel. At least to balance the force between the screw.
What I did was, inserted a negative screw driver from the top. Aligned it parallel between the switch rocker and the switch cover, then rotated the screw driver 90 degrees, this pushed the rocker and cover away from each other and the plastic latch came off. This for me seems better than randomlly pulling off the cover which could break the plastic latch. Hope this helps.
My doorbell is broken for years. Instead of calling a repairman, i decided to use the plug and play one. Can i used a wall blank plate to close off the space? How about the wiring of the old one? I'm thinking of closing off that space, and stick the wireless bell on top of the blank plate.
Maybe you can check if the wire still works. The wire doorbell is the most reliable. No battery change required.
@@CTBLiew I'm thinking of doing it myself, but my dad wouldn't let me. And he's too old to do it himself. 😅 No other man in our household, thus...that wireless bell is one of the option. 😂
Oh, wireless should work then. Advise to get the protective casing if the area are prone to rain and hot sun. Battery got drain easily at higher temperature.
@@CTBLiew I'll try getting a blank plate, and see if it can be done. It looks like the same size. Thank you.
Sir, if i have to disconnect the wire, is there any main switch that i have to turn off?
There should have a fuse connected to this bell point.
SengChoy Liew in the main fuse box of the house ? Alright thank you sir
Thanks.
Plastic tends to becomes brittle after some time exposed to UV. This might not work well with plastics that are already five years exposed to UV. Have a look here: ua-cam.com/users/shortsL8Miy092TfE?feature=share
Hi. My door bell suddenly not working. What should i check first
Fuse then switch if water seep through. Then, bell if transformer burned.
Nice! Where can i get the protective cover?
I bought it from my local hardware store.
@@CTBLiew ya like where?
Which area are you from?
Hello there, what happens if I press my door bell and no sound happens but my MK door bell has red light up indicating, still got battery, pressing the selection button sound produces the doorbell sound, so what is wrong? Do you know how to fix this?
It is a wireless door bell?
Ow do wires get secured
Yes indeed!
Hi, do u have tutorial to install the doorbell? Just bought it online but no instruction provided. Switch and wiring already there. Thanks.
Hadi Yusoff
It is electronic type or conventional type? Either way there should have four wire. Two for 240vac normally red and black wire while another two wire from the switch from outside should be the same colour.
I will make one if I get an opportunity.
Is this suit single plug socket?
Yes. Standard size.
Hye.. need your help. Can you come to my house and install this kind of bell? My house is located at Ampang Selangor
Any visible wire seen at pillar?
best
