I did not attempt to fix the part. I don't have patience to solder. Purchased a new transmission with the module from a junk yard with 50,000 miles. Swapped it and its been working good for now for about 2 years. Cost . Transmission $1200, shop replacement $900. This is my first and last Audi I'll ever own.
Recently my covetable roof was leaking everywhere to the point where it had to be replaced. Roof cost. $550 with window and 4 hours of work on the driveway If you do this yourself make sure not to damage the main weather-strip seal. They are expensive to replace At least no more rear window leaks for now.
a6 c6 ,2006 PRNDS all red, not blinking. got it scanned, with the code error P1793- output shaft speed sensor 2 No signal. is it the same issue ? thoughts ?
Hi there .. I had the same problem last year , took the tcm to get it repaired and it was the air pressure, just today had the same issue my dash boards blinked twice already and just hope it’s just that again since my friend works for vw and he did it for me .. it lighted for a one second and when back to normal 😦...
Yassine Bergou I sent you a link from the repairs shop .. just enter your car model and it will take you to the right tcm . But make sure you gone to a mechanic to verify it’s a tcm issue
I literally just fixed this exact problem 2 months ago. Doing it again. When it first happened I was laid offf due to the C word (Rona). I have no more money. I just picked up a job as a foreman and on the way back from picking up the job, it started this again. I am so bummed out. So close yet so far.
@@baradona11 still in progress. Getting it back middle of next week, then I'll selling it for a great price. I just bought a Lexus RX 350 so if you know anyone in the Inland Empire area of California that is interested, let me know.
@@baradona11 $450 to rebuild TCU. $650 to remove and install unit. I was so unlucky to have a model that the TCU was inside the transmission. Pain in the bum. Your model may possibly have it located under the seat or under the bonnet.
@@baradona11 How is everything across the pond there? I just got her back. Seems to be running smoothly. I also replaced the Ignition coils, Spark Plugs and waiting on the delivery for the Cam Shaft Sensors which are 4 to be delivered on Saturday. I recommend you do this every 15,000 miles for the Coils and plugs. They are not that expensive in my opinion. Also, look into the Vag Com.
All I can say is if you buy an Audi something is really wrong with you only a nut would buy an Audi especially an A4 Turbo but with that being said I found a good deal on one I'm picking it up this weekend pray for us all

Dealership wanted $3500 for a new TCU. Heck no. I just searched online for companies that rebuild with a warranty.

Dawad its transmission range sensor which costs £36 from ebay and £209 labour for 3 hours common fault on the cvt system
it is common for audi a4 and a6
