- Lyrics to Katy Perry's song "Lost" from her album 'One of the Boys' (2008). NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT INTENDED!! I just think the song's very beautiful :)
The first ship picture is from digitalblasphemy.com, the second ship picture is a screenshot from one of the Pirates of the Caribbean films (the first I believe), the image with the star is also from digitalblasphemy.com, the picture of the ship with the icebergs is from Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, and the last image of the ship is from cognitivedistortion.com.
I'm not sure why there are so many pictures of ships..! I guess they all look pretty lonely to me, so I thought it fit the song :) And in case anyone is wondering, the font is indeed the font used by the band Evanescence.
Wow... I remember years ago I was in such a dark place with my depression and eating disorder and drug use, I used to listen to this song all the time because it explained how I felt perfectly....now it's 2016 and I'm the happiest I've ever felt in such a long time. I finally have a sense of direction. Nothing's ever perfect, but things are definitely looking up. Even if this all sounds so cheesy, I hope you'll see me as your reminder that it really does get better. ❤️

i first heard this song in 2012 before i left my home to go study abroad in china. i was so scared and had so many mixed feelings. now 7 years later im back home reunited with my family. i lived through all the things that this song talked about and learnt so much. right now im listening to this song in the same place i first discovered this song on my cousins ipod and im smiling because i can look back and say I have now found myself.
I rediscovered this song recently while playing a record and lordy am I glad I did it

I've loved katy even in her california girl days. she's the type of girl who can be really fun and crazy, write songs about sex and partying, but she also has her vulnerable sides which she shows occasionally. I don't see anything wrong about writing about different things. It makes her a real person, imperfect. She was once a little girl, still finding herself back before. But listening now to her new songs, I've realized she's grown too much.
She's 37 now 😣 she has a baby now even! 😘
