Finally... a splitter that make sense and saves a lot of back breaking labor for the average man. Strong bloke or not, you try lifting those blocks that high for 8 hours a day for a month at a time and see how much you talk...lol! Really like this idea for bigger diameter blocks... we split up logs from 2'-4'+ in diameter yearly... big crooked timber! We'd still have to split some in to smaller pieces but this would really help. Thanks for posting... we are also in Ohio.
Right around $22,000 for this model. It has a 24" stroke with a 34" diameter blade width so your max capacity should be around 40". This is the biggest model. I plan to build one slightly smaller and also have a $4,000 diesel engine and single stage pump option.
Cool machine for those who need it..I would have split that whole pile by the time you got set up. I swing a 40lbs maul. Who knows, age might catch up with me someday and I'll need a splitter..if I do..this will work!
The "Guillotine Wedge" should have permanent markings (like maybe a 2" long bead of weld) to indicate where the back 'cross wedges' are ... that'd help the operator reduce tiny splits and wasted wood ... and at least one 'cross wedge' at the front too .. like way on the right side for splitting the last piece.
very nice machine,, how does it handle green southern red oak or white oak or water oak ?? Need same type conveyer on mine, throwing every piece gets old. split 22" max for our heater
I just noticed your machines today, pretty nice, even compared to the 200 ton monster filmed by Adam Brady. In comparison this one seems to show more productivity compared to it. Good work! I also noticed you were using my favourite engine brand on a lot of your stand-alone products.
Love the machine, I live in Australia and cut firewood as an extra. I would love to see how it would go with the grey iron ark and the Aussie red gum , yellow box which are three of the hardest woods here. What rpm is it doing it sounds like it is idling. Do you have Australian agents ? I would love to make one would you will be willing to share some details to get me started ?
I absolutely love this machine but it should have a 2 hand valve away from the knife so your always away with your hands when you split.... One may get fatigue after 20 cords of wood per day...Lol
Hello. Ive watched several of your tempest videos and I personally like the attention to detail that your company possesses. I am going to be purchasing a wood splitter in the next month. Could someone please contact me in reference to this. Thanks and many blessings to you and yours
Good Morning Lewis, We aren't producing this model anymore, but you can contact your local Wood-Mizer dealer and they have something similar to it. Sorry for the inconvenience! Have a great day!
I’m sure they thought of height restrictions. Looks like it’s very short to me compared to a van body trailer. Maybe it’s 12’ tall at most which might as well be zero.
I drew up th I exact machine almost on CAD. writhe the big wide 30" opening an 4_7cutest on back an 2_5 on front, but it was gonna be minted on a ling chASSIS BIGGER truck an a seat up on cab to view all, operate the splitting wedges, but with a light duty knyckleboom, like the propane.l.p.. gas co. use to instal there tanks. an use it to. reach out to logs or big rounds were a saw guy an just extra eyes an hands to help on ground. an off the pto of the f600_700,hoc 4500_6500ruck, with a dump _rack body 450sh cubic feet, and the conveyer feeding into
I say we build that unit you are talking about sounds like a beast. I love to build new stuff! I wish I could find a good business partner that had better financial resources than myself so we build all the new products I had I mind
This is probably the best design I've seen on UA-cam that's not a processor, great rig👍
It's amazing how many different designs there are for these machines.
I am very impressed with the quality and innovation of your machines. I wish I had your design and fabrication skills.
Nice machine. I love the blade design.

40 pound, yea right!!
don christie Come on by..I'll let you try my newest creation.. the 62 pounder. You can't swing forty pounds ?
Put down your purse and get a real maul. My wife swings a 80 pounder.
That's great! How's your blue ox Babe doing these days? :)
Pretty impressive.
Ya they got a nice design. Its very fun to operate!

I like your ideas there!
It is a very slow machine, but with the size of wood logs I have, it would be perfect...I wish I could get one here in the US.
Do you have an option with 2 cylinders? Ands faster pump so your only working the cylinders half as hard so the seals will last 2 times longer

Does that thing fold down,, as high as it looks you couldnt take it out on the roads around here, phone lines and power lines and underpasses too
I know of a firewood ministry which provides free firewood to the truly needy who depend on it for heat, I'm SURE they'd like to have such a machine.
You should really buy them one!!! Great idea!!
I need one of these machines, I just don't know where to buy one from.
How many American dollars is one, and can I get one here in the us

Why doesn’t he park his truck box under the end of the conveyor?
wonderful !!!

The French call this the finger guillotine.

soft amert and European wood, its like cheese. try AUS ironbark matr
It's a monster !! Waauw !
Why is he running the engine so slowly, half throttle puts a lot of stress on the engine, and the pump.
Nice Rex 700 you got there...
You still building this? I like to have one like it!! Seems to have nice clean same size pieces ....
How the hell do you transport it from place to place that boom might not make it under some over passes

Does it have a website for it
that is AKAZING. need to find me about $20k and get one... VERY nice
What is your MSRP and maximum block diameter with this model?

How slow, big and dangerous!
1:20 you look like a strong bloke why cant you lift that little log?
Just tryin to show off the log lift.
You only have one back and when it fucks out then ya screwed
i think that would be what they call a "thinning of the herd" model ... common sense lol
You guys should've cut down the weeds before you guys splitting the logs
that things slow as
Don't tuch the top of the stick and cut your fingers off!
View my to firewood processor , 75 cm stem diameter 60 tons splitting force !
too slow
mahoe splitter
