I love the way the orangutans hold onto and hug each other, it's so adorable. Though it's a bit sad that they probably do it because they don't have their moms to hold onto. It must be tough for the surrogates wearing a mask all day in the humid forest. It shows how much they love and care about their babies, they'll do anything to keep the little orangutans healthy.
Don't kid yourself. They do most of their "caring" for the camera so that they can attract more donations. These frauds don't want this animal to regain their health or independence any time soon because they will lose their meal ticket. They are just in the business of exploitation for personal gain.
@kendrahansen1175 HUUUUUUHHHHHHHH what are you talking about? The animals in all their videos are healthy and exhibiting good natural behaviors. This organization has released over 500 orangutans into wildlife preserves since they started. Sadly, they don't need to keep the same orangutans around because more are coming in all the time, victims of poaching and deforestation. They'll have plenty of work for the foreseeable future without needing to exploit the animals in their care.
@@suchnothing And, of course, you are just repeating the false garbage that this fraudulent organization feeds you via their dramatized videos. Why don't you ask this "organization" to show you their accounting records? Once you review those records, I bet you ANYTHING you would retract your statement above unless you are a poacher, a thief or an animal abuser.

@@CaraTheStrange I think they're the next most closely related to us after bonobos and chimpanzees. They're very human in a lot of ways, and we are very orangutan in a lot of ways too lol. It makes them very relatable and loveable.
@@CaraTheStrange no, you are right. We share 97-98% of the same DNA as the orangutan. They are the most precious beings. I have just fallen in love with them, and have adopted 10. They have such a sweet spirit.
I really wish U.S. schools would show the Jungle School series in classes! Young adults and children need to understand the consequences deforestation and animal abuse has on our world. Unfortunately the young here don't think much about it, because they aren't aware.
Even as orphans, these little Orangs make up with their heart, soul and brave caretakers more than anything cruel humanity can take away. Please adopt and donate to give them a better life. Its the least we can pitch in and do.

You can see the intelligence in their eyes and the expressions there, though I do think all animals are intelligent. There's lots of different types of intelligence.
Makes me wonder who or what did this for us to coax us out of the trees. Imagine being the first creature on Earth to recognize the two different types of rocks that would create a spark. Fascinating.
rescuing is a good thing to do. but caretakers seems to be spoiling those orangutans by always carrying, pampering, treating them like a human baby and always mouth feeding them. Spoiling those small orangutans means they will never go back to wild because they will become so lazy and very very dependent on human caretakers for food and every thing. if those orangutans gets released they will never bother searching food for themselves.instead of searching for food they will rather sit and eagerly wait for caretakers to bring the food for them.
Thank you so much for sharing your concerns. We completely understand your perspective, but it's important to clarify that the surrogate mother's care for infant orangutans is designed to mimic the natural upbringing they would receive from their biological mothers in the wild. In the wild, orangutan infants stay with their mothers for an extended period, learning essential survival skills. Our surrogate mothers play a vital role in providing that nurturing and teaching. However, as orangutans grow, we gradually transition them to environments like pre-release islands, where they can practice these skills independently. Our goal is always to prepare orangutans for a successful return to the wild, and the care they receive during their infancy is just one part of that process. We appreciate your concern for their welfare and assure you that we're committed to their long-term well-being and eventual independence in the wild. You can read our success story on our website where the orangutans get their freedom and live independent in the wild forest ❤❤
It's disgusting how these frauds humanize these animals but yet say they are "preparing" them for life in the wild. These frauds don't want their imprisoned animals to regain their health or independence any time soon because they will lose their meal tickets.

And right after school, it showed the so called caretakers putting the apes back in their little cages.
@@keithmuehsam8990 Exactly...until they want to make the next two minute video to mislead the public...
@Keith Muehsam It's so they can be monitored. Given plenty of time outdoors. When the orangutans are ready they are released. Do some research
