💛🌲🦬 ⛰️ In this intimate family video, we pay tribute to Yellowstone Park, Roger's favorite place in the world, which celebrated its 150th anniversary this year, 2022. You will see Roger sharing the awesome beauty of the park with his daughter's family captured on home video and photos by his son-in-law and accompanied by Roger's music: Born Free, The Way We Were, More, Carry Me Back to the Lone Prairie, Ole Faithful (by Eddy Arnold), and When It's Springtime in the Rockies. Roger took a thrilling private plane ride over the Teton Mountain peaks and revisited where Roger first camped in the park as a young teen with his parents by Lake Jenny beneath the Teton Mountains.
Yellowstone was established as the world’s first national park by an act of Congress, signed into law on March 1, 1872, by President Ulysses S. Grant, protecting more than 2 million acres of mountain wilderness, amazing geysers, and vibrant landscapes for future generations to enjoy. It has more than 10,000 hydrothermal features including the Old Faithful geyser, which erupts around 17 times a day and reaches 184 ft. Beyond its geysers, Yellowstone is world-renowned for its bison herds and is home to the largest concentration of mammals in the lower 48 states.
