It’s actually crazy how parents will randomly pull out the most random lore about them

My mom once told me (out of nowhere) about the time she accidentally almost caused a crash with a cop car, on her temps license, without anyone in the car with her like she was legally required to have, and got off scott-free. Still not sure why but it was a great story (and so was the fact that the guy teaching her turned out to not actually have a real drivers license and apparently had a fake)

4:13 I genuinely wonder if the ex was even bad. Maybe he was, but considering how the OP never mentioned him doing anything, and how the mom and step-dad showed the shot up pick to 11 yr. old OP, I’m inclined to believe the mom was the bad person in the relationship, and was spiteful that the dad didn’t put up with it. Then again, maybe they’re both bad. Who can tell for sure?

The story about the parents who stole almost $15,000.00 from one of their children shows why you don't give money to minors; you place it in a trust until the recipient reaches the age of majority.
Regarding the stepfather who was illegally adopted: it wasn't all that long ago that unwed mothers were pressured to give up their maternal rights. Sometimes they were told to sign documents while they were exhausted from giving birth or groggy from anesthesia. Sometimes they were lied to and told that their baby had died. Finding infants for adoption was and probably still is big business.

I think in some places (from what little I know about my own situation) that was a thing until at least the 1980s.

Yeah parents can be terrible....my mom married this guy a few years ago and hes not the best. He seemed ok when me and my siblings first met him but it didnt last long. Hes very rude and disrespectful. And im prettty sure hes bipolar. Hes done so many terrible things , bit it would take me FOREVER to talk abt everything so ill just talk abt what terrible things he's been up to lately. So, he recently quit his job (this is like the 3rd job he quit) and lives by taking money from my siblings and uses my koms money but then has the audacity to call us "lazy" even tho we are the only ones working to make money💀Hes also got in our faces and hit us multiple times. It amazes me that my mom is still married to him. Especially since they cant stand eachother most of the time. She says once all of us kids move out shell eventaully divorce him...but shes been saying that for years.

5:03 I think it depends. Does the child or children in question know what’s going on with their parent and why the custodial parents have full custody (which kind of sounds like the case here)?
Because honestly, I would’ve absolutely asked if I could shoot a gun at the picture of my dad.

My dad left me when I was 4 änd my brother was 2, and my mom had no idea where he was until 1 day, when my Biological dad's mom went to my mom's house, told her that my dad went on a church mission trip to Kenya. Then, 2 years later, in '06, my dad went to my mom and asked her if my brother and I could be in his wedding, and she hesitantly said yes. He's been married to my stepmom ever since, and he doesn't even bother to visit me, nor apologize. He's the reason why I don't trust a lot of men very much. But my current, 2 year stepdad, gives me hope for finding a man like him, personality wise, of course. Sorry for the rant. Lol.

3:06 It pisses me off how often I've heard stories like this. 😑 People who somehow believe that women should stay in the kitchen and that they should be subservient to their husbands.
I'm sorry about the rant. 😅 It's just something I feel a bit passionate about.

Religion is the root of a lot of these beliefs, if you remove religion most issues go away

Story 3. - Reminds me of the middle-class, very respectable 6 year-old boy at the infants school I attended who suddenly inherited a large sum of money, (equivalent to the purchase price of an executive house), from his wealthy aunt who died of dementia. Unfortunately he had a 3 year-old little brother who inherited nothing because the dementia prevented the will from being changed. His very forceful, opiniated mother brought him up to believe that when he became an adult he would have to give half of that money to his brother. The three year-old brother always acted like a spoilt little brat. I often wonder how that panned out.

How are you doing sweetie? How are you feeling? I hope just great!! In the very first story, this is very akward for the main protagonist, and their mom just settled for their dad because the real love of her life got k*lled. I couldn't and wouldn't ever get involved with a woman who is in love with her former flame because that just wouldn'tn be right at all. In the second story, this is completely okay and so understandable too. As long as their mom is happy that's what matters the most and plus she is finally living living her truth. In the third story, that's completely messed up becausse their grandma left that money for them and them only. The parents have got some kind of nerve for doing something so disrespect like that. In the fourth story, they were making extra money illegally on the side with their little buainess. In the fifth story, sadly to say ya'll were just his side family, and I hear about men in the news doing this all of the time. In the sixth story, the grandma is just as messed up in the head as the dad because do they both not understand she was busy taking care of baby main protagonist, and plus he could've easily got his own dinner because she's not his slave. In the seventh story, she is making it very clear that she doesn't evet want to emulate her parents style at all. In the eighth story, their mom is pure evil right along with her new husband. I feel so bad for the main protagonist. In the ninth story, this is just so very sad because their stepdad basically grew up thinking that his kidnappers were actually his parents. In the tenth story, the mom is contradicting her ownself she literally forcced her husband to adopt a child which wasn't even his, and then when he did she went on to write diaries about how much she despised her own child. That's completely just so messed up. I love you my friend!! Have a great day!! Stay safe beautiful!!
