As a German/European I'm always fascinated with how big of a thing patriotism is in the US. While I wouldn't make any black-red-and-golden themed crafts I really like the rustic look of yours and how the colours go together.

I cut them out of vinyl with my Cricut. If you don't have a Cricut, you could use a Stencil to paint them on or use stickers. Hobby Lobby has a good selection of stickers
